Religion, and the Changing Moral Zeitgeist / Re: Ye Religion Thread
« on: May 18, 2008, 11:08:21 PM »

you take the fear of god away from people who live in the hood, see what type of world you'll end up with.  preachers certainly have an impact, but not as much impact as the fear of god has, in situations where people must choose to do the right thing.

Last time I took a stroll through the "hood", there was no "fear of god". Only fear of the police. Around Atlanta, every crime and "sin" you can conjure up is being committed like it's going out of style. Maybe the ghetto is nicer where you live.

The central purpose of the holy bible is to teach it's followers SUBMISSION. "Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's", "Wive's, submit to your husbands", "Children, obey your parents". It's quite comical how preachers will often refer to the founding fathers of America as being deeply devoted faithful Christians. If they had listened to the teachings of Christ, they would have continued paying lip-service to England and left the tea alone.

Satan is the muthafuckin' mack daddy O.G. of rebellion, revolution, and independence. But then again, plenty of haters and ho's refer to us as "The Great Satan".

Drinking the leftover Bavaria from last night. Out of a glass. I really ain't got nothing against drinking out of a bottle, but I prefer to drink out of a nice tall 16-20oz pilsner glass like the one in last nights picture. I used to have a rather large collection of beer glasses. I used to be quite a bar-fly. The bar I was a regular at had a HUUUUGE selection of beer. They would have a special pint night once a week where if you bought a pint of the featured ale you got to keep the special glass they'd serve it in. Most of my glasses got smashed either in the move, or when I was drinking from them. The one I'm using in the picture is a Bodington's glass, one of the only ones I have left. I still have the Stella Artois glass I got from pint night many moons ago, but it's not exactly a pint. I looks somewhat like a wine glass, it has a stem. Painted up with a little Stella logo on the front. Gold around the rim. Nice looking. I use it... as a pencil holder now, LOL!! Certainly too small to drink from. I broke my favorite glasses not too long ago. I had a basic straight-sided 16oz pilsner glass with the Paulaner logo on it. I dropped in on the concrete patio at my buddies house during a party last July4th. My favorite glass was my 16oz Dinkel Acker logo mug with a handle. I kept in the freezer of the fridge in the basement. It slipped outta my hand and hit the concrete slab and busted into a bazillion pieces. I was almost in tears as I was picking up the thousands of broken shards that had scattered everywhere. Kinda surprised it broke too. I've dropped it on concrete before it was just fine, a nice thick ass manly mug, that's why I liked it so much.  :'(

I don't really listen to music by myself drunk but I do go to a lot of karaoke with my girlfriend (she does the singing).

hahahahahahhahahahahah  :ohlord:

WHAT!?! Drunken karaoke is awesome! ...as long as YOU don't get up and sing. Hell, it's usually funnier than any stand-up comedian you'd ever see.

they had lotsa anthologies on the juke box at my old bar. Allman Brothers. Pearl jam. Etc. Some nights... the anthology directly related to the tip the bartender received, lol!!! ;D Oh yeah, Rogue makes the Chocolate stout outta POrtland Oregon I thing. Decent stuff if you're a stout fan.

The one I used to go to was awesome, the beer menu was bigger than the damned food menu!!! I live not too far from Helen GA now, a tourist town modeled after the swiss alpine villages. If only they had a bar like my old bar! They have a few swiss and germanic beers in the restaurants around there, but nothing near as authentic as I'd like to see. I'm pretty picky when it comes to beer, I like my beer genuinely german... even though tonight I'm drinking Hollander beer, Bavaria. It's not bad, like a cheaper version of heineken. A HELL of a lot more drinkable that any budweiser bullshit. For 8.99 for a 12 pack, it was actually cheaper than JWDundees Honey Brown!!!  :o

ho'd he get it in there?

He probably did what Drew Berrymore discussed concerning her cat... remember when she said that when her cat died she wanted to cremate it and sprinkle the ashes on her food so that her cat could live on inside of her? LOL.

HE ATE THE HEART!!!
