Nevertheless, the amount of stupid involved in playing a video with that line in it at the start of their convention is just appaling.

How much is a school lunch these days? Back when I was still in a public high school (1995 maybe), I think they were something like 1.30. I remember they used to have some pretty good rolls that they'd charge 10 cents a piece for, so I'd save money by just buying 4 or 5 rolls and a milk. Then before long, EVERYONE started doing that, and the school started losing too much money by getting raped on their roll prices. So then they instated a rule that you had a buy a full lunch to get extra rolls for 15 cents, and if you wanted to buy only rolls, they were 40 cents each. Then people who were getting full lunches would take other peoples money and buy the rolls for them at 15 cents and give them to them at the table. So then that was the end of the roll racket, NO MORE EXTRA ROLLS, YOU GET ONLY ONE, haha. I remember thinking 1.30 for lunch was OUTRAGEOUS because I was paying something like 85 cents for a full lunch a couple years before in middle school.

I'll probably still shit my drawers when I hear what the price is these days, but honestly, anything less than 5 bucks is still cheap I suppose.

If you think school food is bad... you have no fucking idea, man. Try some jail food. The jail in my county actually collects the leftover food from the local public schools to feed the inmates the next day. And on Saturdays, for a special treat... YOU GET NO FUCKING DINNER. No shit. Instead of lunch being served at noon on saturdays, they give you breakfast first thing in the morning, then for lunch at about 3pm you get a box of warm out of date barely spoiled 2% milk, and a 2 day old peanut butter sandwich on hardened bread that's pretty obviously at least 2 days old. AND NO DINNER. So much for the whole "THREE square meals a day" thing.

@ my kids school prek-8 is $1.35 & high school is $1.60. They wanted to charge the 5-8'ers $1.60 but the new super said no, you're not increasing their portions.

Their lunches suck imho. You definitely get what you pay for.
