Georgia could have 3x the injuries and still beat mizzou just fine, imo.

Uh, No. You ain't been paying attention this year. Georgia's defense is utter crap. They lost Jarvis Jones, John Jenkins, Bacari Rambo, a slew of others. Everybody who was anybody left last year. And I think last weeks game against Tennessee proves that without "Gurshall" and a few of the star WR's, Georgia is as helpless. They're only hope this year was to maintain an offense that could outscore their opponent since their defense sucks so bad. Without an offense, they're dead in the water. Gonna lose to Mizzou this week. Probably gonna lose to Vandy next week. In fact, if they win another game at all this year, they'll be lucky.

National Title? Nope.

SEC Championship? ...Maybe. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, and I probably deserve a severe beating for such blasphemy, but if shit plays out perfectly to still allow Georgia a way into the SEC Championship, I hope they lose it. From here on in, Alabama's gotta run the table to keep that big pretty crystal football in the SEC. I'd sure like to see Aaron Murray get one SEC title before he leaves for the NFL, but not at the expense of ending the SEC's BCS National Title reign.

FLA came in to LSU and held them to 17 points  but LSU's defense came to play today held FLA to 2 field goals.

Congrats to LSU on a good win.  There was some serious hitting going on (as expected).

FLA has to go to Mizz next week.  Mizz looked good against a depleted GA team, but lost their QB.
The Mizz receivers are beast, but FLA may have a chance since Mizz QB's out.

They should call this shakeup Saturday - # 5,7,12,16,17,18,19 have lost so far.
I would have never guessed Texas over Oklahoma.

We should have a NFL QB game like the famous person death game.
Which QB will get knocked out of at least 1 game.

Since there are only 32 starting QB's you can only pick 5.
First one with all 5 being knocked out of the a full game wins.  If no one gets all 5, then the player with the next highest total.
If your QB gets benched, he is no longer eligible (you cannot change that player) so pick wisely.  If your player gets knocked out and misses a game before they get benched, it counts.

My picks.
1- Stafford (Detroit) - he never make a whole season
2 - Vick (Philly) - same thing
3 - Roethlisberger (Pitt) - he always takes a beating and they just lost their center
4 - Tannehill (Mia) - Miami's O-line is bad and they don't have very good backups  (Dammit I wanted Gabbert from Jax)
5 - Weeden (Cleveland) - teams are going to blitz the shit out of him, pain will soon follow

If Vick don't play against the Yucks, I can check two off my list.  :righteous:

so many mother fucking upsets today........penn st (4 ots?!)

Flipped over to that during the Georgia Tech @ BYU halftime. Holy crap. Michigan had that game in the fucking bag after the Penn State fumble in 3OT. About shit my britches when they missed the following field goal. Hate to see Michigan lose their undefeated status to Penn State of all teams, but they kinda had it coming after missing such an average distance FG.

And speaking of GT, they looked kinda tough the first 3 games. Was starting to make me a little nervous how well they were doing. But the last two have reassured me that come November 30th for the big in-state rivalry weekend, Georgia's gonna eat their fuckin' sack lunch and shove the paper bag up their ass like always. 8)

I was actually surprised by how well Georgia did today despite losing. It was mainly dumb shit like a fumble and the two INT's at the end that lost it for them. Those don't happen and Georgia actually had a shot at winning it, something I figured would've been impossible. Hopefully after Halloween they can get Gurley and Bennett back out there in time to beat Florida and maybe retake the top spot in the East again. If they lose to Vanderbilt next week then they're totally fucked.

The GA/Mizz game reminded me a lot of the FLA/Miami game.

GA lead in first downs, rushing yards, passing yards, had less penalties.  GA outplayed Mizz, but the 4 turnovers did them in.

Yeah, when Georgia plays teams like Missouri, I kinda start to realize how fortunate we are to have a great QB like Murray. Makes me a little scared to see what we're gonna get with this Hutson Mason on queue to take over at QB next year. The talk is that he's pretty good, but I dunno. What little I've seen of him hasn't been hugely impressive. Then again, Murray wasn't exactly impressive his first year at QB either. He did a HELL of a lot of scrambling for first downs. But it got the job done, secured him the position permanently, and he did nothing but get better and better. Hopefully Mason can wear the big big shoes that Murray's gonna leave after this season. I think he will though. AJ McCarron looked like nothing but a chump just before Greg McElroy left Alabama. Hopefully Mason will work out like an Aaron Murray or an AJ McCarron and NOT like Texas' Garrett Gilbert. Jesus Christ, what a shit situation that was for Longhorns fans. They go from kicking ass with Colt McCoy to getting raped and stomped to death with Gilbert.

I never understood just how that happened either. How does a school get an elite QB like Colt McCoy and not have the swag to be able to recruit a decent backup/replacement? When you've got a winning football program already, you're more likely to get one of the more talented QB recruits you're schmoozing to say yes to you because he knows he's gonna have a better opportunity to succeed and make himself look that much more attractive come time to graduate and go out for the NFL draft. Something got screwed up there.

I think they've got Colt's younger brother Case McCoy at QB now. Gonna be interesting to see if he turns out to be anywhere near as good as his big bro.

They're saying that Jacksonville is worst team in the NFL this year. But after looking at some stats, they might some competition for the position. According to the standings on Yahoo, Jacksonville has -112 net points on the season. However, the New York Giants who are also 0-6 at the moment, have -106 net points on the season. Crazy thing about that is that the Giants themselves have scored twice as many points as Jacksonville (NYG=103 points for - JAX=51 points for), but apparently several of the teams the Giants have played against have run up HUGE scores on them (NYG=209 points against! - JAX=163 points against). Kinda crazy to see the Giants playing so utterly horrible. I piss and moan about Atlanta, but at least Atlanta is only sitting with -12 net points, meaning they're at least putting up a fight

random side notes:`

- despite a losses to the browns/bears, the bengals have insane potential on their offense and defense

- carolina is still... carolina. Although I think they passed the panthers curse to the falcons this season for the most part

- I'm calling KC to lose to denver, then beat them back at home 2 games later, although that's a generic bet, and there being no more undefeated teams.

Yeah, Kansas City undefeated this season after week 6... WHO THE FUCK SAW THAT COMING!?! :D I thought it was gonna be "slightly" possible with Andy Reid and a much disrespected and underrated Alex Smith, but I didn't think it'd ACTUALLY happen! I don't give a damn how wonderful people think Colin Kaepernick is, San Fransisco FUCKED UP cutting Alex Smith. Nothing would please me more than to see Kansas City win the Superbowl this year. They haven't won a Superbowl since NINETEEN SIXTY-FUCKIN-NINE!!! And I'm not sure it was even called the Superbowl back then. Pretty sure that was way back when it was the AFL and NFL as the competing "conferences". Most people who would remember seeing the last time the Chiefs won a Superbowl ARE DEAD NOW, hahaha!

Then again, several teams have NEVER won a Superbowl. Want a list of teams that have NEVER won a Superbowl?

There are 10 teams that have been to the Super Bowl (in years shown) and lost each time:
  • Minnesota Vikings (0-4) 1970, 1974, 1975, 1977
  • Buffalo Bills (0-4) consecutively 1991-1994
  • Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) 1982, 1989
  • Philadelphia Eagles (0-2) 1981, 2005
  • San Diego Chargers (0-1) 1995
  • Atlanta Falcons (0-1) 1999
  • Tennessee Titans (0-1) 2000
  • Carolina Panthers (0-1) 2004
  • Seattle Seahawks (0-1) 2006
  • Arizona Cardinals (0-1) 2009

There are 4 Teams that have NEVER EVEN PLAYED in a Super Bowl:
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Detroit Lions
  • Houston Texans
  • Jacksonville Jaguars

Probably the most horrible one is the Bills. I actually remember their run, I was just a kid, but I still remember. They went to the Superbowl four years in a fuckin' row, and came up with a handful of nothing each time. The one I'd call the 2nd most horrible would be the Detroit Lions. They had Barry Sanders, a guy who will probably still be considered the greatest runningbacks to ever play the game even 200 years from now (maybe 2nd to Jim Brown, I dunno), and still NEVER made it to the big one.

Anyway...

Yeah, I wouldn't count the Bengals out of anything yet at all. I wouldn't necessarily count Atlanta out either. If they can EVER manage to get everybody back and healthy, they could still salvage it. Home field advantage is out of the question, but the only divisional opponent they faced so far has been New Orleans. If they lose one or two more, they'll have to bust their ass and win all the rest to have a prayer. I don't see it happening though.

I'd be tempted to say that Denver is 100% impervious, but I think Dallas and Jacksonville both exposed Denvers weakness. Dallas ran up a huge score on them. It just so happened that Denver did the same thing to Dallas. But defense is how Denver is gonna get beat. Jacksonville played solid smart defense against them the first half of the game this week and kept them from running up the score early. You do the same thing and throw a high powered passing offense into the equation, and someone can take them down even if they're less than perfect in the passing game. I think teams should pay close attention to what Atlanta did against Denver last year too. Atlanta prepared very well to face Manning. They had everyone on defense shifting around before every snap like a bunch of Parkinsons patients being tasered, disguising every last piece of coverage, and it confused the living piss outta Peyton Manning for at least 2 quarters, just long enough to score enough points on them to keep the comeback out of reach.
