Georgia Tech plays Clemson tonight in Clemson.
I think Clemson will win this game at home. Neither team play great defense so the game will probably be high scoring.
Clemson wins 38-28.

Uh.... nope. If the same Clemson that played Georgia in week 1 shows up to play Georgia Tech, Tech's gonna get skullfucked. Dunno if you've paid much attention to Georgia Tech over the past 4 or 5 years, but they've abandoned the idea of having a legitimate passing quarterback for the same old triple option run bullshit that coach Paul Johnson ran when he was coaching at Navy. Granted, they
do
actually pass the ball a little more these days than they ever used to, but when they do, it's always one of those looooooong bombs where the QB just drops back 3 or 4 steps and heaves it up. Half the time, he heaves it too far ahead of the receiver, misjudges the throw and throws it completely out of bounds, or throws it too short and it gets picked. So bottom line, any really good passing
AND
running team is gonna have more opportunity to score than a team that stubbornly runs every single play, even when they are down by 14+ points.
I really hope they finally cut Paul Johnson loose in the next few years. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing Georgia Tech play idiot smalltime conference football in a big time conference.

It was a high scoring game, Clemson winning 55-31. I thought the GT defense would be a little better than they were.

I tuned into the replay for a bit late last night. When I started watching, it was like 28 to 17 I think. I turned it off when it was 40-something to 17.
That's why I don't like watching Georgia Tech games anymore. They start out going 100% option run. Then inevitably when they get outscored, Paul Johnson starts to panic andthey start trying to pass it more... and fail at it. Because they always choose to panic and pass too much, they end up having to kick it away or turn it over, and then the other team has yet ANOTHER chance to move it down the field and score on them AGAIN, putting them even farther behind. They do pretty good running it, but it takes so damn long to move down the field that way that they always end up running too much of the clock off and paint themselves into a corner against good passing teams.
FIRE PAUL JOHNSON! GET A
REAL
QUARTERBACK!

So I decided to take a different approach with my online betting. I put 200 dollars total on what I thought were the 11 safest bets to make on college game day Saturday. I'll win 175 if I get them all right, then I'll put the rest on Nfl Sunday/Monday. If that goes well, I might put it all in on Mondays game...Maybe. I put 100 in initially.

Looks like I'm going to be 11/11. Putting half on Denver over kc and half on how the first score will be in this game. Then I am putting it all on Carolina over the patriots at a particular margin/score that I'll disclose later.

And damn, Florida state is still playing great. This is the team that will beat Alabama and steal the bcs from the sec at the last second. One of my bets was Florida state scoring more than 35 in the first half haha

Just in case you did not see it.
Georgia scored 3 TD's in the 4th quarter to come back and take 38-37 lead against Auburn. Auburn has a 4th and 18 from their own 27 yard line with 36 seconds left and this happens -

If the ball gets knocked down or intercepted the game is over and Georgia gets the win. Georgia has been cursed all year and this is just the latest (deepest) blow.
Florida lost again (5th straight), but I was glad to see they gave SC all they could handle. FLA started a QB who had never played a snap in a real game.

Imagine being a 160-200 pound high school player and having a 6' 5" 400 lbs running back coming at you.
He may not break off big runs, but I bet he is good for 5 yds per carry

Ouch; that hurts if you're a Georgia fan. Fluke play - what can you do? I think Auburn is over-ranked in the polls, but I still think they are sneaky good. Alabama better be ready.

The new BCS standings are out and Baylor has moved to 4th , just .013 points behind Ohio St.
Baylor has its toughest game this week when they play #10 Oklahoma St.
Ohio St. plays another cupcake in 4-6 Indiana, who just lost 51-3 to Wisconsin.
If Baylor wins their game this weekend, they will jump Ohio St.
Ohio St. should retake 3rd if they win out against Michigan and the championship against Mich. St.
Ohio St. may be a good team, but it is hard to judge when you don't play tough teams.
The only tough team that Ohio St. has played was Wisconsin which they beat 31-24 (the closest game this year).
FL St. still has Idaho, at Florida, whoever they play in the ACC championship game. They should win out. The FLA game is always very physical, hopefully no one misses games after this game. I hate to see injuries have major impacts on a team's season like they have for FLA & GA.
Alabama still has Chattanooga, at Auburn, Missouri or SC in the SEC championship game. Alabama should win out, but I think they have more of a chance to be upset than FL St.
