Leave it to a high school in Alabama to have a bunch of cheerleaders this fuckin' dumb.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschool-prep-rally/alabama-school-uses-trail-tears-reference-pregame-run-140337909.html
Trail of Tears? Are you shitting me? Really? I have a couple of really distant relatives that were Comanche and Cherokee. And since I
kinda
paid attention in US History class, I know that when the US Govt forced the Cherokee nation to pick up an move west, more than half of them died of disease, exhaustion, and starvation before they ever made it to their destination. While I think some of these mordern-day suburban wahoos are really nit-picking dumb shit wanting the Washington NFL team to change their name to something besides "Redskins"... them pitching a royal running shit-fit and throwing out the race card on this one is a perfectly legal move as detailed in the Hoyle race card rule book. I'd probably say that people should be pissed off about it... but then again... it's a bunch of dumb redneck-girl cheerleader airheads from Alabama. They probably heard the term in History class but never paid attention to what the fuck it was. They probably thought it was some actual long-established trail through the woods that indians used as a highway.
To steal a phrase from ESPN...
PS...
Makes me wonder... if these cunts were to play a team called... oh, let's say, the Red County Rabbi's or the Jefferson County Jews,... would they paint a banner to say something like "Go hit the 'showers'!"?
Sie. Dumb fuckin' people.

So, |iR|Focalor, the Saint's visit Atlanta tomorrow night. I know the Falcons have been waaaaay below expectations this year, but I rarely see their games. I know in N.O. it came down to the last play and they could have easily scored and won that game. Since that point they have....well...kinda sucked. Why is that?
This is a division rivalry game and I've heard the stats that say it's almost always a close, down to the last drive kinda game. I expect it again. I even would not be surprised if Atlanta beat them this time. Losing Greer really cost N.O. a key cover man. I'm anxious to see how they handle that. The Saint's O-line still stinks at the regular pass protection/run blocking schemes and unless that gets fixed by scheme or backup players, it will be their downfall. Don't let the cowgirls game fool you (they have
major
problems on their D-line). My prediction: Atlanta 21; Saints 20 - as Hartley misses a last second 40 yrd field goal.

Atlanta ain't the same team. They made the perfect dumb moves in the off season on defense. Cutting defensive lineman John Abraham wasn't entirely smart, but replacing him with Osi Umenyora was a suitable replacement. Cutting cornerback Dunta Robinson was a HORRIBLE decision, especially since his replacement is a rookie, and even more especially since the cornerback on the other side is Asante Samuel. Samuel did well last season, but he's an old dog, gets injured a lot, and doesn't always play up to his price tag. In other words, he makes a lot of money, but it's not always a wise investment. Like I said, LAST year, he did great. This year? Well this year he's doing more of what convinced Philly it was time to turn him loose.
I think there's been a lot of other changes along the front defensive line as well as the linebackers. OLB Sean Weatherspoon has been out with an injury, MLB Akeem Dent as well.
There's been some offseason changes to the offensive line also. Some new guys. They cut Tyson Clabo, a dumb move in my opinion. The moves they've made at O-line collectively have created a situation where Ryan has NO protection and NO time to find an open receiver. Plus WR's Roddy White and Julio Jones have been out or playing injured the whole 1st half of the season. RB Steven Jackson was out with injuries, and he's still not 100%, and even if he WERE, the O-line just isn't doing a good enough job.
In my opinion... all of the above mentioned shit gets thrown into the pot and stirred together and comes out looking like failure. They repeatedly lost and lost and lost some more and it totally decimated the team as a whole's confidence level. At this point, I don't think any of them really give a shit enough to play at the high level they were last year. They don't have much incentive. They kick mega ass, and what will get them? Nothing. Playoffs are out. They could win every game the rest of the season by 40 points and it wouldn't make a difference. They're just gonna coast through the rest of this year, probably make MORE dumb moves this off-season, and just try again in Fall of 2014.
So I say you're wrong. I say Saints win it 40-something to 17. If Atlanta scores more than 2 TD's, I'll be amazed. Hell, if they get more than ONE touchdown, they'll be doing great. Unless Tony Gonzalez put super glue on his gloves and can get off the line and into a route without 2 guys tag-teaming him at the line and HOLDING him there like everyones been doing to him all season long.... it'll be nothing but field goals for Atlanta. And all the field goals in the world ain't gonna win jack shit against Drew Brees when your defense plays like scared little girls.

Well, I guess you summed that up. If they have mailed it in and don't care vs
at least
getting up for a chance to stick it to a rival, then yea, I'm way off base. I hope you're right. The Saint's will need every win they can get. If N.O. gets an early, pretty substantial lead, Falcon fans will try to beat the traffic and be outta there. That will either piss Atlanta's players off and get them going or they'll say "screw it, I'm ready to go home too".

Games I am really looking forward to seeing today.
#1 Alabama vs Chattanooga
#2 FSU vs Idaho
#3 Ohio St. vs Indiana
Ok, The real games
Texas A&M visiting LSU - this should be a high scoring game. LSU's secondary concerns me.
A&M wins 42-38
Mizzou visiting Ole Miss - Mizzou wins 28-21
Baylor visiting Okla St. - This could be the game that knock Baylor out of the BCS championship.
Baylor is dinged up at key positions. Okla St. 34-31

LSU dominates Manziel and A&M
I was very impressed by the LSU defense. I really underestimated LSU's young secondary, they have come along way since the beginning of the season.
I still want to see Manziel take a big hit, that sucker never takes a direct shot.
I don't want to see him get injured badly, but I would like to see that cocky sob get his bell rung.
Right now Mizz is beating Ole Miss 17-3 at half and Okla St. is shutting out Baylor 14-0 deep in the second quarter.
And last and least - My FLA Gators totally suck.

#4 Baylor and #5 Oregon both lose so 6-10 should move up.
The SEC should have the #1, #4, and #6 spots when the new poll comes out tonight.
#1 Alabama or #4 Auburn will lose next week.
#6 Missou plays Texas A&M next week if they win, they will play the Alabama/Auburn winner.
There is a part of me that wants to see Ohio St. get a shot at the title, just to see them get embarrassed on national TV. I really want to see someone shut them up, maybe Mich St. can take care of it before the bowls start.

Yep. Senior night. We all come out to see his last game in Athens. They finally have two decent WR's back in the lineup and mostly healthy, as well as Todd Gurley at closer to 100%... and then this. But fuck it. Everyone else on offense got fucked up this year. Might as well be Aaron Murray's turn, right?
Finally got to see backup QB Hutson Mason play, and I gotta say, he's apparently come a long way since the last time I saw him play about 2 years ago. Not quite as worried about Georgia's chances of success next year when Murray's gone and Mason takes over. Hopefully they've got someone decent as the #2 behind him for next year. I just hope Murray's able to play this coming weekend. It's the huge in-state rivalry game between Georgia and Georgia Tech. I think Georgia's won it the past 4 or 5 years straight. Really wanna see Murray play and keep his perfect record against Tech. Also wanna see him add a few more TD's to his stats before the seasons over.
Florida loses to
Georgia Southern
of all schools? What the fuck man. Now I don't feel so bad about Georgia losing to Vanderbilt.
Baylor lost to OSU. Proof that some schools get easy schedules and don't deserve the late-season rank they have. I was a little more surprised by Arizona beating Oregon though. Arizona really ain't been great this year.

Aaron Murray has a torn ACL, his college career is over
Early in his career I wondered how good he would be because of his inconsistency. Murray turned out to be the best QB in SEC history. It is a shame that he had to finish his career this way.

I see what your saying. I was going by the stats - the best QB.
Aaron Murray holds the SEC all-time records for Passing Yards, Touchdowns, and Total Offense.
