Murphy was more mobile and he made some good throws.
Driskel had been pissing me off all year with stupid decision making. The play he got hurt on was a good example.
Murphy will have to improve a lot in the next couple of weeks, he will be the guy getting all the reps so I hope that happens.

^Renner was passing very well in the tech game... the calls were just crazy in tech's favor though. There was ALWAYS conclusive evidence to overturn ANYTHING in ga tech's favor(or always lacking evidence to overturn something favoring unc).

Hopefully Renner can keep stepping up like that, although there's not really too much in that highlight video. The announcers were just kissing Vad Lee(ga tech QB)'s ass the entire time, especially before it started. Then he can't throw a single pass and fumbles it a handful of times. Contrasted to renner it was an NFL caliber qb against a highschool one.

Renner always scrapes the bottom top 10 of QB's in the NCAA but I honestly think he's top 5, without a doubt.

Saw it coming though. Miami's gotten much better this year. Still dunno if Tannehill's gonna be the man to take them through the post-season wars though. He definitely looks much sharper this year than he ever has before. And while Atlanta's offensive line played MUCH better today, that defense still sucks dick. Got no fucking clue what happened between last year and this year, but they just don't seem to be as amped as they were. Nobody's sticking to their man like cum to Sasha Greys face anymore.

I'm calling it now: Atlanta don't make the playoffs (and Carolina will edge them out of 2nd in the division and any possibility of a wild card spot). And if by some miracle they do weasel-grease it into the post-season, they definitely don't advance past their first opponent.

I know, I know. Throwing in the towel on my hopes for the hometeam 3 games into the season might seem a bit hasty to anyone else. But anyone else ain't really watching all their games as closely as me either. Anyone else is thinking, "These guys are fully-loaded on offense with guys like Tony Gonzalez, Roddy White, and Julio Jones. They've got a shot." But I don't think anyone else is clearly seeing the defects and sheer don't-give-a-shit from Atlanta's defense either. On both sides of the ball they struggled to pull off a close win against St. Louis of all teams. Any "good" team should be able to handle St. Louis pretty easy and win without it being close. Any "good" team would've been able to keep Miami out of the end zone on that last drive. We get the Patriots this Sunday night. Now if Atlanta can beat New England, maybe I'll change my tune. But dollars to doughnuts, it AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN. In fact I'm so sure it ain't gonna happen, that I have every intention of putting big money on New England for that game. I'd advise everyone else to do the same. Easiest money you ever made.

Hey, I ain't down about it. Nothing to be down about. Remember, I've been a Falcons fan my whole life. The fact that they suck ain't nothing new. They've sucked so long that when they continue to do so, we in Atlanta have become completely indifferent about it. But when they go above .500 or make the playoffs, then maybe we get a little excited. But disappointment ain't much of a factor when expecting failure is a city tradition probably older than watching the giant Peach drop on New Years Eve or lighting the Macy's Great Tree on Thanksgiving night.

Odd start to the NFL season......up is down....down is up....with teams surprising the "experts" in many cases. N.O. has a defense? If this is not a mirage, they may make some noise. The Fallcons took it to the last play, so I'm still dubious.

I do not wish harm on any player - especially on my favorite team. But honestly, if whatever ailment kept Ingram and Harper out last week hangs around another week, I won't complain. I have seen enough of both of them to believe we are better without them. By week six, I'll know what we have.
