After seeing the way Zach Mettenberger handled getting edged out by Alabama, I'm glad he got sent packing from UGA. Dude was kinda pouting on the sidelines for the TV cameras. On the last drive, they zoomed in on his face before the drive got started and you could clearly see he looked like he was upset and just ready to give up, no composure at all. Then again, for the first time today, I also saw Aaron Murray on the sidelines acting up a tad. Wasn't too impressed by it either.

But most of all, I was kinda irked by what that jackass Nick Saban said to the CBS chick after the game. He was talking about how great McCarron was even though he doesn't necessarily have the "stats"... clearly a poke at Aaron Murray for taking the SEC touchdown record today. Nick Saban's a fuckin' prick. At this point, I'd like nothing more than for Georgia to win out and make it into the SEC Championship and then beat Alabama. Sure, the SEC would lose the BCS title because of it, but at least Nick Saban might shut his stupid fat whore mouth.

Sorry, but stats prove plenty. If McCarron were all that wonderful, he'd have more touchdown passes like Murray, but instead he's got the luxury of always relying on runningbacks like Yeldon, Lacy, and Richardson to earn all his points.

Just got in and looked at the scores and  Jacksonville won a game.
Carolina beat SF, holding SF to 150 total yards.
St. Louis beat the crap out of Indy  38-8
N.O. opened a can of whoop-ass on Dallas 49-17

Tampa better beat Miami because they are the only winless team left

Dallas's defense looked completely incompetent. And to compound that, New Orleans played better than they had all year. Brees was dinking, dunking, and bombing em all the way down the field. Meanwhile Ingram finally looked like a real runningback for once. Shit was a well-oiled machine tonight.

Only thing they could've done to be any better was to maybe pick Romo off a few times. But... they didn't need to. They were too busy sacking the shit out of him to let him pass it at all.

CONGRATS TAMPA! YOU FINALLY GOT ONE!

Psh, after finally taking the time to watch one Bucs game this year, I see it perfectly why Tampa was winless. Saw Tampa wide receivers running plain old go routes and not even looking back for the pass, meanwhile they get lucky as fuck that neither one of the defenders covering them seem to be looking for the ball coming in either. It's like a lot of the times they're just going through the motions, doing just enough to make it look like they're doing their job so they won't get fired. They don't seem to have any sense of urgency or a real desire to make plays and win. It wasn't all the time though. They came to life on a couple of drives and acted like they gave a shit, but other times, it was like they didn't care what happened.

And what really sucks is that Glennon appears to actually be a really decent QB. He's got accuracy, he's got arm strength, he seems to play smart... but if the other guys on his team don't get off their ass and start giving a shit, they're gonna blame Glennon and find someone else to fill the spot, someone who might not be as good. Only thing I see wrong with Glennon's play so far is that he ain't taking chances on close covered receivers like he should be. A lot of times, guys aren't gonna be "open" and are gonna have someone on them. The only thing you can do is count on your throwing accuracy, and "throw them open", as they say. Part of that means you gotta learn to trust your receivers to handle that responsibility and make the damn catch under pressure. But when these dudes are playing lazy, sloppy, and shitty, that kinda trust ain't never gonna happen. Hopefully their management sees all this too. If they're gonna start cutting heads off to shake things up and make more wins happen, I think they need to look at the coaches. Someone's not pressuring these guys to perform.

Tannehill on the other hand... as far as I can tell, he ACTUALLY DOES suck. Maybe it's all the shit going on with the Martin-Incognito thing, but he's not throwing it with much accuracy. Guys run hitch routes, and he can't nail them in the numbers with the ball as stationary targets. Guys cross deep or medium and he can't seem to lead the throw out ahead of them worth a shit. Who's bright idea was it to make this guy a quarterback? He's a joke.

I was glad Tampa finally got a win too, but I don't think they've lost this many because of poor players.  They have some really good players (LB David is a beast).  I think the coach has "lost the team"....they "spit the bit"...you know what I mean.  Yea, I saw some lack of effort by some of the players (receivers being one example), but there is no way this team wins just one or two games with a leader that knows how to coach them through tough times.  Most players today don't respond to the old school approach and I've heard that Tampa's coach is old school almost every time they are mentioned. Today's players are pampered from high school through college and many never even had any discipline at home.  You get in their face and they sit on the bench with a towel over their head and pout. No amount of screaming or rah rah rah's can change it. More to say but got an interruption....

Well that sucks. Didn't even really know the dude was sick. Apparently he's had liver trouble for the past couple of years. The story doesn't mention it, but apparently he died of complications during liver transplant surgery. Remember seeing him in an old episode of Married With Children. He also did football commentary for ESPN for a while. He was a real likable guy, always liked him a lot more than some of the other ex-football players they've ever had doing commentary.

From the description they gave in the story, it is not close to describing him.  With an investigation still going on after this long makes you wonder if he is involved in some way, even if he is not the primary perp.  Or this could all be BS like the accusations are about a lot of high profile people.
