I also never even talked shit on you. I said you need to be more concise in your novels. Go play rusty drunk naymlis and jerk off to it.

However, getting people talking shit on me who haven't played quake in a decade and never played at my level (haunted),

I completely agree. I have never played down to your level.

I've read everything. Sorry for the lack of direct replies. Yeah punk, metal is my older brother by 4 years. He's 37. We share similar views and we didn't want it to seem like we were ganging up on ya in the politics thread, if I were to guess. I honestly haven't ever talked about it with him. I'm confident that focalor and quadz both know that he's my brother though. Sorry you weren't in on that haha.

Thanks for the condensed version. Sometimes quality is better than quantity. Not trying to bash on ya, vae, but you have to be more concise with your points.

As y'all know I travel for work. My oldest son developed what appears to be tourettes out of nowhere.

You'll have to trust my diagnosis a bit. My 5 year old is already a stressed out boy. He has chronic nightmares. Tic disorders can be induced by anxiety. During covid he hasn't socialized with any of his friends almost. I'm his best friend, and it appears separation anxiety has pushed his condition to reach where it's at.

It's absolutely heart breaking for me to witness. We're considering CBD oil among other options.

More than anything though is that I feel guilty. I'm sure most of you know that the forum poster "metal" is my older brother. Him and I romped around and raised hell as kids, and our mom would literally ring a bell when it was supper time for us to come back. I feel like my kid ain't getting the same childhood I had in a nutshell. Damn it, times have changed....

Usually do Christmas morning breakfast with my family. Scrambled Cheese Eggs, grits, maple sausage links, bacon, maybe coffee cake, maybe toast, coffee (I usually bring my own Dunkin Donuts pods, they only drink Green Mountain and Peets and shit).

Thanksgiving is usually turkey. Usually it's pretty dry and chewy and shitty, even though mom always puts it in a browning bag to supposedly seal in the juices. Usually it's Publix brand turkey. This year she got a Butterball, and it was 10x better, probably the best thanksgiving turkey we ever had that wasn't deep fried... which I can't do anymore cuz my dad can't eat fried shit because of his heart and his fucked up liver. She said from now on she's gonna say piss on the Publix turkeys and get a Butterball.

My old lady (and me) sometimes does a greek lamb shank for Christmas dinner when her folks come over. Takes ALL DAY to cook it, but it's damn near the best shit in the world. Nearly. Because nothing beats Carolina style hickory smoked BBQ pork. Which also takes all damn day to cook.

One of these years I want to find a way to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. When I was a kid in the Boy Scouts, one of the dads on a camping trip brought a turkey and a new metal trash can, which he used to rig some shit up and smoke a turkey one night when we were camping down by Providence Canyon in SW Georgia (I think). We were all laughing about "Nobody is gonna eat your trash can turkey, are you crazy?" But then we tried it. Everyone there agreed, best fucking turkey any of us ever had in our whole life. That was almost 30 yrs ago, and still to this day, I remember how insanely good that turkey was. None of my fried turkeys, as good as they always are, came anywhere close to it.

Smoking is the way to go. It's hard to spend $600 on an electric pellet smoker.... which is why I spent 320:

It's small, but it's top tier. Big enough to do a massive Turkey,  two Boston butts, whatever. Don't waste money on a traeger.

Greenwise publix lamb is some good stuff lol. Truly really good lamb. I've smoked a leg of lamb before on a rotisserie. It was New Zealand lamb so I really had to put the extra effort in for it to taste nice(olive oil, garlic, rosemary, etc).

American and Australian lamb are the best.  Middle east BS tastes like shit.

Nothing special but I went back in my pictures. Obviously i wasn't entertaining company, but this is the mini-rib roast I cooked for myself last year.

I'm working during christmas just like Thanksgiving. 3 years in a row doing so.

Cooking is probably my biggest hobby and I associate food with the holidays. Good eating kinda brings everyone together. Thanksgiving is Turkey, Christmas is a prime rib roast(no ham), and new year's is a corned beef brisket with black eyed peas and collards. But I'm stuck in a hotel for all of them. Oysters are sort of mandatory on Christmas and new year's too.

Posting this in the football thread because it's more funny that way:

Also, all of UNC's all ACC first team players are opting out of the orange bowl for the draft. I guess my school's program is legit now?  :lolsign:

Guess that gives a&m the edge now.

The analysts at espn think ND is the #4 seed in the playoffs. Everyone still has NC in the orange bowl, but it's split on who the opponent is. Texas a&m or florida.

Saban obviously didn't say that. Anyway.. now that all the games are played.

+Florida did hang with alabama
+Clemson beat ND by 24, although it was worse than that number if you watched it.

So it made the committee's decision tougher. With both the playoffs and the orange bowl. I think they love ND so much that ND will get the #4 spot.... That is the most likely outcome at least.... maybe. Texas a&m's resume is more deserving. But the committee may use the Florida Alabama game result against Texas a&m a bit to favor ND. It's how you finish, right? Jimbo's only loss was to Alabama but he got destroyed. And ND went undefeated in the ACC(without playing Virgina tech, nc state, or Miami). It'll be bullshit, but nc might still be a part of the biggest bowl because of it. . .
