This is a college basketball post.

I didn't feel like making a thread for it, but more so informing y'all of what the scene looks like. Duke is #1, although #4 by ranking. They're the best basketball team in a decade. The amount of talent is insane. They legitimately have two top 15 nba players currently on their team. I predict they'll go undefeated except one loss against UNC at the dean dome.

It's nuts how close it was.

Speaking of nuts, how crazy is it that in many aspects the republican party is the MORE reasonable party these days? Keep in mind that's relative, I'm not saying they're reasonable.

When the tea party highjacked the republican party most of them were straight up loony!! How could it get any worse!?

Democrats: "Hold my beer"

 :lolsign:

Very very true. Hadn't thought of it like that before, but... absolutely.

Haha yeah it was a random thought of mine. If I was trying to make a point it would've been this.

So many moderates or people leaning slightly right felt like the Republican party had lost their way including myself. Then this is what the Democrats muster up. They blew it big time.

Quad is a different story. The added quad to the dm1 was a two wrongs make a right type thing but ended up making it worse.

Ah yes.

For dm1, what I'd originally done was place a quad way up on the "roof" of dm1, as more of an easter egg - hard to get to. (Most players on vanilla/dm barely do jumps at all, let alone the rocket+grenade jump needed to get on the roof.)

At some point, later, someone suggested moving the quad down to the arena. I think it may have been because something similar was done in Quake 4?

But, it's been there ever since. (I'd actually almost forgotten it didn't used to be there!)

:dohdohdoh:

Oh man. I remember that. That was actually cool. After a rocket grenade jump your health/armor is pretty low which balances out the reward, plus anyone who goes up there wants to mess around opposed to hopping down. The RA underneath the stairs may even be worse in my opinion, but paired together :mrdead:

I didn't even know that RA was under the stairs for a long time. I remember one match where elysium hit the frag limit before me and I never died. I was holding down the mega health room the whole time assuming I'd win. Timing that RA and quad does wonders. It was just never my style in FFA :bigshades:

I(we?) understand. I used to be a competitive player and any "cheapo" kills someone would get on me would frustrate me. Just bait them when they go for bfg. Or get good enough where them going for bfg doesn't matter. Its a dead game it would suck to  chase people off.

Ahhh c'mon y'all. Let the bfg users be happy in a dead game in which you need all the players you can get. Punish them for going for bfg. Dj up to bfg and get it in 3 seconds opposed to those that ride the conveyor belt. Give em a taste of their own medicine  :lolsign:

I forgot about WVU. They're in a similar position, win out and the right teams have to lose, but they're the least likely to make it outside ucf.

Florence screwed them over a bit. Having a win over ranked nc state would've helped their cause. State'll probably be ranked 19 or something tomorrow and west Virginia played one less game than everyone else.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Michigan

For the playoff rankings probably.

Georgia and Ohio state control their own destiny, if they win out their in. Wash state and Oklahoma have to have other teams lose to get in.

Well, prime seats to UNC ga tech in a few days. My last day of my 6 week rotation is Halloween. Ill try to be optimistic as much as possible haha. UNC has only beat Pitt, who hilarious enough beat ga tech, and 4 of their 5 losses were like by 1 possession or less. I just hope it's a good game.

Yup, and I agree. Alabama has more than a 50% chance to become national champions...........again.....

I just hope that the team(s) that do face them are the ones most likely to take them down. Basically the team who has a huge all senior defensive line and an explosive offense. Clemson kinda provided the template for it a couple of years ago... I haven't watched them at all this season though.

Hey if Georgia wins the conference champ they're in. It would be nice if they beat a 1 loss team is all I meant, to minimize the chaos haha. I'm not one of those people pushing for ucf to be in there, but in an 8 team playoff it would at least be interesting to give them one of the 2 lowest seeds. I wanna watch teams play that never play each other sometimes.
