"Those who seek to push hate, division, and violence: You have have no place on our platforms. You have no home here."

One particular comment:
In that case they reeeeally need to delete most of the rap songs on iTunes.....

Burnt. :D

On one hand, I don't really give a TRUE shit about the rights of some racist dingleberries. It's an ideology that just needs to go the fuck away already. And one might say, "Well if you censor that, it sets a precedent for yada yada yada..." But what you may not realize is that the precedent has ALREADY been set. The legal definition for what constitutes a "hate crime" in some places is very broad and ambiguous, usually saying something about "evidence of prejudice while committing an offense". In a way, you could prosecute MOST interpersonal offenses under that.

I can't say I feel these people do these kinds of things because their heart isn't in the right place. They mean well. And a well-meaning idiot can do as much damage as an ill-meaning enemy. I'd wait to see how they enforce that policy before drawing conclusions that they will be some kind of Ayn Rand-ish collectivist dictators repressing freedom of speech. I suspect they have a few bad actors in mind who they want to eliminate from their world. And as part of the terms of service no one is guaranteed a fucking thing ever, right? You pay for it, but if they want to, they can wave a magic wand and make it obsolete to-fucking-morrow, just to be dicks, just to fuck with ONE person, just because. I bought an Xbox, but they can update the shit and change it and fuck it up at will. I can bitch about it... that's really ALL I can do, though.

Society is reaching a tipping point obviously. People are tired of the bullshit in every form. I'm a gun owner, I love guns,... but I also own eyeballs and a brain. I see the shit on the news. Shootings happening all over the fucking place, ridiculous murder rates, robbery with guns. People are getting sick and fucking tired of living like this, always worrying about their safety, wondering when they send their kids off to school in the morning if they'll come home alive. Our track record as a society proves that statistically we are not capable of being responsible gun owners. And yeah, the statistics may prove that it's a very very very small number of fucked up individuals committing these acts, but... that small number is still enough on it's own to warrant deep concern. And it's not even a number. It's PEOPLE. Dead people. People like you. People like me. They had families and friends and shit to do tomorrow. And then someone killed them. To those few people affected by it, it changed their entire world. Is it any wonder they push so hard to do something to change things?

I'd vote against it, and I'd be sad to lose my guns, but if it actually happened... I can't say I couldn't understand the WHY of it.

When ethical behavior has an associated cost, profit margins favor the least ethical actors.

We're big pharma. We're here to help.

Michigan VS Texas would've been good also. But that would've left Georgia playing Florida again. Nobody wants to see that.

I kinda would've liked to see Georgia get a 2nd shot at LSU with the same rosters. I'm confident a 2nd whack at them would go VERY differently. Well... not so confident. I just remembered the fake punt from the SEC championship. Kirby Smart is on meth. Any fucking thing could happen.

But Georgia vs Texas isn't the worst matchup. Texas has a shot at winning, believe it or not.

Georgia vs Ohio State or LSU vs Ohio State would've been great. Yet another year Ohio State escapes humiliation at the hands of a capable SEC defense.

you can't reason, with ignorant, stupid, or otherwise biased people.

Sounds like a biased statement.

that's why i like anarchy or minarchy at least. you can do what you want as long as you're not hurting anyone or stealing from them.

That's pretty much what people do right now. I'm not saying I disagree with those political philosophies, but from what you've said, it seems to me that you've only skimmed over the brief synopsis of what those philosophies entail. I'd urge you and anyone else to learn about it EXTENSIVELY before claiming to espouse such a position. You may find that you don't completely agree with it. And at the very least, if you do agree with it, you'll be better prepared to discuss it with people who aren't familiar with it... otherwise you might give them false information about it, or... they might get the impression that one of your opinions about any given topic might represent those political philosophies when they perhaps do not.

Anarchy is bullshit unless you live alone on an island. Governing and committees are necessary. Even prison gangs govern by committee, and they care less about "law and order" than anyone else. Humans are animals, no different from the other hundreds of animals that we watch on nature shows narrated by David Attenborough. The simplest of insects organize. Even the more complex and intelligent animals like wolves hunt in collective packs in order to be more successful and survive. Anarchy simply isn't in our nature. We are a social animal. If that were not true, riots would be far more prevalent and prolonged than they are. Then again, sometimes riot are fairly organized events. Organized protests have the potential to become riots, and those rioters attack property and uniformed police, not each other. Further proof we are an animal with social instincts.

Still... libertarian political philosophies aren't really the problem with video games and Metacritic. The problem is the blurred and now basically NON-EXISTENT line between corporate interests and political interests. Neither one of them respect the institution of democracy and the people. They both view the world as a casino, and they use polls and market research data to basically "count cards" and always have an unfair advantage over the individual who plays the game honestly and fairly. And sometimes they get idiots like video game reviewers to willingly work for them under the pretense that they are helping to change the world for the better.

So true. Those were the days. Back when you bought a VCR with the most number of heads so you could pause the tape on the ever-so-brief breasts scene and see it clearly. If your parents had one of the cheap shitty single head VCR's, it would have a snowy streak through the middle of the picture or flip up and down as bad as the scrambled Playboy channel.

I have been looking for shows that are multi-tasking friendly since I have a ton of crochet projects to complete.

Possibly Seinfeld's Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee ?

I watched his stand up special, Jerry Before Seinfeld, which is a mix of parts from a stand up show he did at a small club in New York City and docu-biography about his early days as a working standup comedian. Really good, one of the best standup specials I've seen lately, and I'm not even a Seinfeld fan.

UGA gave Alabama (who everyone says is so much better than everyone else) the best game anyone has given them and could of easily won the game.

Georgia played angry, but Alabama played loose. They really had no incentive to fight. The brag of being SEC conference champs, yeah. But if they lost, they were still gonna be National Champs. In a year where you win the National Championship, does anyone give a fuck about winning the conference championship? They keep that trophy in a broom closet or use it to prop open the shitter door to let it air out.

This system is fucking retarded. If you aren't champion of your conference, you shouldn't be in the National Championship OR one of the preceding playoff bowls. Why have the fucking game at all if the outcome isn't important? In my opinion, Conference championships should exist as a de facto quarter-final for the 4 spots in the 2 playoff bowls that are the "semi-finals". There's more than 4 conferences, but thats what voters and records and all that shit is for, right? Out of 5+ conference champs, you pick the 4 strongest contenders based on CURRENT YEARS PERFORMANCE... which leads me to my next point....

Ohio State will get the spot. I'd bet my left nut on it. These fucking retards don't look at current performance, they just think back to how many times they've seen Ohio State show up top 10 contenders at the end of the season. It's fucking money. The data says Ohio State brings in more money because they have more fans because they rank top 10 more consistently which lures in the fans who only wanna root for a winner... a la fuckin' Patriots fans who were born and raised in Atlanta, the fucking douchebags.

Got a chance to try out one of the Marshall JCM800 reissues today.

Mmmm... S'okay. If you're not familiar with the reputation of the JCM800's, they aren't massively hi-gain distortion machines. They get somewhere close to early Guns N Roses kinda overdrive and go no further. Has a "high" and "low" input. Through the high, you can dime the pre-amp knob and get heavy overdrive. Through the low, it stays clean even with the preamp maxed out. So even though it is a very simple one channel amp, you could probably run a A/B switch box as a splitter to the high and low inputs and use those as basically a switch for a clean and dirty channel select.

But... with a price tag of $2300??? Eh. I don't think so. It's really cool, but it ain't THAT cool. From what I've been reading from other people online, they say the reissues don't sound as good as the originals. And you can buy an original early 80s JCM800 in terrific shape for around 1500.

Pfft. Fuck Alabama. Nick Saban eats dick. And fuck the college playoff voters too.

Of course Georgia lost. Because it didn't even fucking matter if they won. If they win, Alabama still plays for a title. On what fucking planet does that make any fucking sense? It made even more sense when Alabama wasn't even in the conference championship and still made it to the title game, and even that made NO FUCKING SENSE AT ALL. There's having a good team... and then there's playoff voters sucking your dick for some unexplained (or POORLY explained) reason. "We like the way they play, it's like NFL, bleh bleh bleh" WHO FUCKIN CARES. THIS AIN'T NFL, HOMO. You wanna vote on NFL shit, go join the fucking NFL. This is why TCU joined a major conference. They wanted a fucking hope in hell of ever being considered for a title if they go undefeated for 10 years in a row.

PS, and FUCK KIRBY SMART for that dumbass punt fake shit which I called before it even happened. Same kinda shit that threw the game against LSU midseason. I said, watch this shit, he's gonna go for it at midfield and screw the fuckin pooch. And sure enough, he absolutely did. Kirby SMART? Kirby Dumbass.

That's not really Tastyspleen jurisdiction. Wallfly is there, but the server is not operated by Quadz. You'll probably wanna talk to Maraakate about it. It says his last login here was mid October. Maybe if you private message him it'll forward a message to his email.

Peeked at his website and found other possible ways to contact him:

I don't know what "gamescanner" is, but you can always just add the ip to your games autoexec config and join the server by going to the games multiplayer menu.

Go to Quake2/baseq2 and open autoexec.cfg (or config.cfg if autoexec isn't there) with Notepad. Halfway down the list, you'll start seeing entries beginning with "set" rather than bind. In this area should be several lines for server IP addresses, like...

set adr8 ""
set adr7 ""
set adr6 ""
set adr5 ""
set adr4 ""
set adr3 ""
set adr2 ""
set adr1 ""
set adr0 ""

In between the quotes of any one of those, just paste the server IP. Like...

set adr8 ""
set adr7 ""
set adr6 ""
set adr5 ""
set adr4 ""
set adr3 ""
set adr2 ""
set adr1 ""
set adr0 ""

And I'm assuming thats the right IP, it's whatever you posted in your last post. But after that, close and save the file. There's a possibility the file might be set to read only. If so, right click>properties>uncheck the box for read only, then try it again. (I typically keep my config files on read-only unless I'm intentionally editing them outside the game) Then start up the game from the clients EXE, NOT from whatever Game Scanner thingy it is you've been using. Then go to multiplayer - join network server - and scroll down to where the server is listed in your address book.

That's how probably 99% of the rest of us connect to play. Easy peasy.

Not really "streaming"... this is about a DVD I got... but fuck it.

Apparently at some point I mentioned that I used to like Ren and Stimpy as a kid. So a friend of mine gave me a Ren and Stimpy DVD antholgy thing, pretty much every episode of Ren and Stimpy ever. And yeah, I remember me and my buddies in middle school used to sing the Happy Happy Joy Joy song and shout POWDERED TOOOOOOOAST MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN in the hallways between classes. When I was in middle school, the two best cartoons on TV was Ren and Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead... and maybe the Simpsons a little.

I had heard they briefly brought the Ren and Stimpy show back on Spike TV or Adult Swim or something, but I never saw any of those episodes. Well they aired 3 episodes of that season, but it was cancelled and the remaining 3 finished episodes were never aired. It was supposed to be a more adult-ish TV-MA rated kinda thing, kinda like South Park or something. Anyway, those episodes are all on one separate DVD called "Adult Party Cartoon". And... I see why they cancelled the show. IT FUCKING SUCKED. It's awful. It's not funny at all. It's just stupid. Poorly written, poorly drawn at times, poorly thought out and awkward. It's just... BAD.

So if you were ever a fan of Ren and Stimpy as a youngster like I was... don't bother buying the Ren and Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" DVD. It's a waste of time and money. I'd rather watch flies fuck or paint dry.
