Here you go timmy the tampon:

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/biden-restricts-asylum-access-mexico-border-title-42-ends-2023-05-10/
"Border crossings top 10,000 daily as migrants seek US entry before Title 42 ends"

10,000 immigrants detained
x 30 days
= 300,000 immigrants per month

300,000 immigrants
x 12 months
= 3,600,000 immigrants detained per year

Compare that with this:

https://cis.org/Report/Estimating-Illegal-Immigrant-Population-Using-Current-Population-Survey

11.35 total illegal immigrants in the US? Keep in mind, 300k per month is just who they CATCH, it doesn't account for the more than half of them that they DON'T.

This is why I'm not gonna dig into these fuckin "sources" with you. It's stupid, it's pointless, there are SHITLOADS OF IMMIGRANTS, more than ever before. If you wanna argue against that, go find a fuckin brick wall to beat your head against, I'm not interested.

Winnie the Pooh - Blood & Honey

Got about 15 or 20 minutes into it... and that's all I could take. Wow. What a tremendous piece of shit. 1 out 10. Awful.

hiss leading into the studio version.

Possibly a click track used for John Bonham to keep time.

The beauty of using modern DAW's with virtual instrument drums like Addictive Drums is that you can program the drums beat for beat, cymbal for cymbal, using different velocities for the individual beats to make it sound natural and human. And from what I've been hearing, Motley Crue is probably using pre-recorded drum tracks at their live shows.  :-[

I kind of hate that everyones first instinct in a situation like that is to SUE SUE SUE. Yes included some Brahms on one of their albums, ELP used some Copeland from his famous western opera, progressives roots are in classical and jazz stylings being infused into rock and roll format. And there's a clear difference (which I think is evident in Rush's case) between paying homage to the things one was influenced by in their early days as a musician versus ripping something off or covering it for the safety of sure profits and marketability.

Dear Timmy,

I'm a 40-something year old long-haired redneck metalhead biker from the south who doesn't have time or patience for your 10 year old bullshit. I'm not a teacher and this isn't a classroom. If you don't know what is going on in the world, that's not my fault. Things that ARE HAPPENING... ARE HAPPENING. If a tree falls in forest and no one is there to hear it, yes, it still makes a sound. If millions of people are pouring over the southern borders and everyone else knows it but you, it's still happening. I'm not here to debate whether or not it is happening or to what degree it is happening, because I and many other people personally know that it is happening.

YOU want numbers.

Read that sentence again and figure out what needs to happen. And that's really all there is to it. I don't want to look for the numbers to give you. Then again, there's a whole universe of things I don't want to do, so why should this one thing be important in this situation? The real problem is YOURS, not mine. There's likely thousands of sources out there. I'm not gonna provide one just you can call me biased or something when you quote another one that you found on your own that says something different. So save me the trouble and DO IT YOURSELF. Call it whatever fallacy you want, I don't care. I'm not going to waste my time arguing whether or not there is a "border crisis." Because THERE IS, and I'm simply not interested in debating it.

Sincerely,
not your mommy.

In that case little Timmy, I'd implore you to watch the news. Or do a google search about the bullshit at the border. Quite frankly, it's a human tragedy that you seem to be blissfully unaware of.

From Wiki:

Quote
The segments titled "Monsters!" and "Monsters! (Reprise)" are an adaptation of Raymond Scott's popular composition "Powerhouse".[2] Although the statute of limitations for copyright infringement had expired by the time Scott's publishers attempted to take legal action, the band paid some monetary compensation to him and his wife, feeling an ethical obligation to do so.[3]

In 2018, Lee said of the piece:

That was a song where I would have to say our ideas exceeded our ability to play them. We thought: "We're going to write this long piece and then we'll just record it live off the floor and boom!"

But it was really difficult. It was beyond us. I included it here because it surprised me how popular that song was among our fans. They just love it when we go into that crazy mode.

Yes, it is an indulgence, but it seemed to be a pivotal moment for us in creating a fan base that wanted us to be that way.[4]

"La Villa Strangiato" translates roughly to "The Strange Village" or "Weird City".[1]

Drummer Neil Peart said of "La Villa Strangiato":

This is Alex's brain, and every section of that song is different dreams that Alex would tell us about and we'd be, "stop, stop." It was these bizarre dreams that he would insist on telling you every detail about, so it became a joke between Geddy and me. "La Villa Strangiato" means strange city, and there was so much going on in that. There's also a big band section in there, which was absolutely for me because I always wanted to play that approach. And cartoon music. We got in trouble later because we used music from a cartoon from the 1930s.

Ouch. That is not good.  Do you have some numbers or citations about the 1980s compared to now?

How can that be interpreted as "arguing against" anything?

Essentially saying, "Prove it", typifies the position of arguing against something.

I bet you I can challenge you on local happenings here because you don't watch news about what's going on here.

If I remember correctly, you live in Portland or somewhere way up there in the left corner.

It would be accurate to say that "murphy's law" is the state of affairs where you live, effectively "hell on earth" and/or "everyone escaped from the loony asylum" to someone like me. It's why people are fleeing California and moving to my state. And quite frankly, I wish they'd go the fuck home. Traffic is SHIT. I don't know actual numbers, but I'd estimate that the population of the Atlanta metro area has doubled or more in the last 12 years.

First got into them around 1991 when Roll The Bones came out and they'd play the title track on the local Atlanta rock station 96 Rock. Funny because they never play that song on the classic rock station EVER. It's like it never happened. They only play the handful of hits from Permanent Waves (80) and Moving Pictures (81)... maybe Working Man or Fly By Night from the earlier stuff. Much like radio, I don't really listen to any of their later stuff either. I love Hemispheres from 78. It's my favorite Rush album, even though my favorite individual Rush songs are from the later albums in 80 and 81. The sound, the song structures and progressive feel of it. It's prog, it's arranged beautifully like classical music, but it's got some hard rock feel too. And that's the great thing about all their albums from the late 70's and early 80's: they ROCKED. Once keyboards started getting pushed to the front more, they kinda lost that swing and energy they had before. Van Halen was the same. ZZ Top. That was the big thing in the 80's, everybody started toying with the fancy new Casio and Yamaha keyboards.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burden_of_proof_(philosophy)

Yeah, that would be a possible logical fallacy at work here...

Then again, when you "don't know what's going on", I would assert that to be the fallacy of personal incredulity (you find it hard to understand, therefore it must not be true).

It's on every major cable news network. Left, right, ALL OF THEM.

There is no "lib" or "conservative" about verifiable facts.

TRUE! The evidence of it is verifiable and undeniable. There's a good reason why I refuse to provide it for you. Because when I do, you will likely attack the source as corrupt. On the other hand, I know that it's virtually impossible for you to find a source on your own that will lie and say that numbers are not dramatically elevated. As I said before, WE ALL KNOW IT. The idea that I need to do anything to prove it is ridiculous.

Nope. It's not fine. Those are flames.

Nope. It's not fine. Those are shitloads of immigrants.

Sooooo...

You want to argue against a thing that you aren't even informed about.

I'm checking out of this discussion.

By your own admission, you were never even CHECKED IN, dude.
