Well, this is a rather sobering breakdown of the issues. (Includes a few bits I hadn't heard before, such as high numbers of serious cases in the "40-something" age range.)

OF COURSE. I'm fixing to turn 40. God loves my not-having-health-insurance ass. Happy happy joy joy.

OUCH! lol. :D

"Gender is a social construct."

What the fuck does that even mean? That gender doesn't matter? If not, why am I asked that on every fucking online marketing survey I've taken for the last 2 years? (and I've taken literally THOUSANDS of them) It matters to corporations and those who look at us like their little worker ants, like their sheep for sheering. All these fucking corporations pretending to give a fuck about "causes", PFFFFFFFT.

I tend to not have ANY gay or transgender friends. Let me be more accurate and just say, no, I don't have ANY gay or transgender friends. Not because I hate them and think it's a sin or anything. It's because they're FUCKING ANNOYING. They're pre-occupied with this social justice bullshit, and it's as bad as hanging out with potheads who only ever talk about pot.

Label me WHAT THE FUCK EVER YOU WANT at this point. Racist, homophobic, fine. I don't even care anymore. Fuck the whole thing, all of it.

Something my old man showed me. I dunno whether to laugh at it for being fake news or shake my head at it for maybe being somewhat true. Mostly I laugh though.

Him talking about the guy getting suspending for inaccurate reporting about Kobe Bryants daughters...

I wonder how well this plays with his bosses concerning his own career. :lolsign:

I watch ABC World News most nights right after the local news goes off. EVERY DAMN NIGHT when they start the show and give the rundown of the top stories headlines,... if you came here from another planet and that was the first thing you saw about us as a species, you'd think, "HOLY SHIT, THE WHOLE WORLD IS FALLING THE FUCK APART!.... EVERY NIGHT!!!" News reporters now are different from even the Peter Jennings generation. All of them use tone and inflection to inject drama in their stories. News has become increasingly "showbiz" if you know what I mean. Reporters are more like fucking performance artists.

Just tell me what the fuck is going on with accurate information and stop trying to make me "feel" a certain way about it. I can decide what way I wanna FEEL about something on my own.

I wasn't all that impressed by it, really. Yeah, they knocked each other around a lot, and it stayed a kickboxing match most of the time, but that's typical of any of Jedrezhbfgjk's fights. It looks like she's done a little to improve her POWER though, because usually if she gets an opponent that's dumb enough to stand there and sling gloves with her for 5 straight rounds, they don't come out with any swelling or cuts. I dunno what kind of fights she had before the UFC had women, but I've probably watched every one of her fights with the UFC, and to my recollection, she's never legitly KO'd anyone the fuck out (she may have gotten a few TKO's from overwhelming top position ground strikes). I've never been particularly impressed with her. When the division started, she had the best boxing and kickboxing skills but no power, and it was enough to outclass most of her competition. Competition is getting better though, and some of the women are starting to develop their power and accuracy,... and she's still the same as always.

I'm so incredibly bored by most of the womens fights. I tend to FFW through them because 90% of them end in decisions. Not enough of them fight with fury and urgency, they seem to treat it like it's just a "game" and the only object is scoring points. And the men sometimes do that shit too. And I'm not talking about the Romero Adesanya fight. The lack of activity there was due to Adesanya being a counter striker, him not wanting to give Romero an opportunity to land his massive power punches on him by initiating things too much, and Romero KNOWING that he's a counter striker and not wanting to initiate either. They're afraid to open up and get caught and maybe lose, which is technically different from the garden variety lackadaisical MMA fighter who plays for points, but indeed just as boring to watch.

The Dariush fight was my favorite from the card.

Not really into Ola Englund's music, althought I haven't really listened to any of it and don't really know if I'd like it or not. But he makes great gear demo videos, like his "Will It Chug?" series.

He's got this video of his visit to Dimebag Darrell's old house, which I guess is still just like it was when Dime was still alive. I've seen other videos of Dime AT the house, and it looks exactly the same as it did back then. He goes through the guitar closet with Dime's old guitar tech and looks at a lot of his old guitars.

It IS absolutely necessary for someone to be looking out for the publics best interests and put a stop to such satire. For the same reason that they put warning labels on jugs of Clorox that say "DO NOT DRINK." :-[

Great post...

Not so much.

"Bloomberg literally bought 15% of Americans support with memes and ads."

Did he? Is it really THAT easy to write him off? If you're going to read all that and "acknowledge [and] factor that into the information you see and what you believe and say to yourself", or in other words, just be more aware of the shit going on, then why is it so easy to reduce Michael Bloombergs candidacy to "just a bunch of memes and ads, pfft, fuck him."? I fucking HATED his ads. I hated seeing them. In fact I hate seeing ANY political ad on TV, as they're all so posed and fake and full of bullshit. Ads in general are trying to manipulate people, and I fucking hate ALL of them for that, even the ones about Snuggle dryer sheets with the cute little bear. Fuck that fucking bear. But what I didn't hate was the things he said during the debates. If I was counted among that 15%, it was because of his on-the-spot words during the debates, not his focus grouped and 10th draft final scripted TV commercial phrases.
