HahaAnother thing.. apparently if Aldo wins this upcoming title defense, he's going to go to 155. He's been having trouble making 145 these days...That would make lightweight the most stacked weight-class by far.. I mean holy shit. Jose Aldo, Benson Henderson, Gilbert Melendez, and Anthony Pettis being the top 4........not to mention some REALLY skilled fighters behind them, like TJ Grant who KO'd Gray Maynard in the first round a few cards ago.Needless to say, I hope that happens.
I was watching WITHOUT the bazillion popups for once at the titty bar. Nice not to have to click 5000 x's every 5 minutes. Most people at the bar thought Machida should've had the decision too. I kinda disagree though. It was pretty even, but the winner depends on exactly what the judges were giving the round scores based on. Obviously they were giving it based on aggression and takedowns. Davis was clearly initiating attacks more. And while the announcers were claiming that Machida was landing "significant strikes", that was not the case. I only saw one or two actual significant strikes landed from Machida. And even if you don't score the fight based on the content of that fight alone, I think most people would agree that from that fight, Davis would appear to be the better next challenger for that classes title, so it's the best thing that he DID win. It's also REALLY fuckin' sad that THAT was the most interesting fight of the PPV. The rest of it was as unimpressive as I imagined it would be. Aldo looked pretty unprepared and scared. Not aggressive like he usually fights. Sucked that Jungs arm got pulled outta joint to end it. The Tom Watson fight was kinda cool to watch though. Those two motherfuckers were pouring buckets of blood all over each over by the end of it, looked like a fucking murder scene.
