You see Robbie Lawler's fight on the last card, foc?

Also, Phil Davis v. Machida should be awesome, as well as Aldo's title defense. Good fight card this weekend.

I can't remember. Maybe. The last PPV I saw was when that dumbass Anderson Silva got chumped back around July 4th. I was thinking the next PPV was supposed to be August 2nd or something. Didn't watch any of the non-PPV UFC events since the last PPV.

Machida is boring to watch. He's decent and he wins, but he's far too technical and defensive to get excited about watching. It's like he doesn't come to "fight". He pot shots the other guy the whole 3 rounds and wins by decision. Hopefully Davis will be super aggressive and force him to brawl for once.

I hope that is exactly what Davis does. His real chance is to put on pressure and pound his fucking head in, kinda hard to win a decisions against machida

I meant as in a few days ago.. you probably missed it. It was the ONLY decent fight on the main card(which was unfortunate being that rory macdonald had a fight also).. I didn't even watch the main event; I've never enjoyed flyweight nor the current champion especially, johnson.

Robbie lawler did WORK last saturday though. And yeah, machida is good and all but I agree with everything you said. I more so said that because I have always been a fan of Phil Davis, for years now, mainly due to the size of his traps and deltoids, lmao. He is unbelievable at the weigh-ins... I definitely hope he can bring the fight to machida as well.

Ah crap, thats right, flyweight belt was up again. Wish I could've seen at least the Johnson fight. I don't mind watching the flyweights. They may be the size of children and maybe they don't have one punch KO power, but they're fast as shit and they keep a furious pace for every second of every round. Never boring.

Additionally, for anyone who hasn't really heard of Phil Davis, don't feel bad, they never give him any real competitors nor many fights to begin with... he's had one career loss against rashad evans years ago.

Here's his last fight in HD:

http://www.fightvideomma.com/2013/04/phil-davis-vs-vinny-magalhaes-fight.html

As well as him v. Tim Boestch in HD:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gUoWd8qHwc

Hopefully his most recent fight(the first link) has his post-fight remarks that I remember also. Don't let the pink spandex fool you, he's not only a well-built and outstanding fighter, but a likable one.

I'm going to go ahead and call Phil Davis over Machida, fuck the Dragon.

Edit:

Top contender Alex Gustafsson's only loss is to Phil Davis.. Alex fights J. Jones next as most of you know, his loss happened back in early 2010 against Davis.. they are teammates now.

Haha

Another thing.. apparently if Aldo wins this upcoming title defense, he's going to go to 155. He's been having trouble making 145 these days...

That would make lightweight the most stacked weight-class by far.. I mean holy shit. Jose Aldo, Benson Henderson, Gilbert Melendez, and Anthony Pettis being the top 4........not to mention some REALLY skilled fighters behind them, like TJ Grant who KO'd Gray Maynard in the first round a few cards ago.

Needless to say, I hope that happens.

Well, Phil Davis v. Machida was not the 'snoozer' 95% of people predicted, although it was very close...the difficulty in judging is always a negative aspect.

Anyway, I didn't have the best view, but to me it looked like a draw and if ANYTHING a slight edge to machida. The crowd would freak slam out when machida would barely graze Phil so they thought Machida destroyed him haha. Since it was in Rio, I was fairly sure that they it was going to be a split for Machida, or even unanimous for that reason. So when I heard "All 3 rounds scored unanimously..." I said, oh typical... then to my surprise, "our winner, PHIL DAVIS" I was like, HAHAHAHAHHAHA on the inside basically although somewhat poor judging. If they placed a high emphasis on Phil's aggression and control of the center-stage/octagon, then I could see a split for Phil. He had two good take-downs and some some good brief ground and pound on each--Machida out-striking him in general by a bit.

Anyway, screw Machida, and nonetheless it was a good fight.

I was watching WITHOUT the bazillion popups for once at the titty bar. Nice not to have to click 5000 x's every 5 minutes. Most people at the bar thought Machida should've had the decision too. I kinda disagree though. It was pretty even, but the winner depends on exactly what the judges were giving the round scores based on. Obviously they were giving it based on aggression and takedowns. Davis was clearly initiating attacks more. And while the announcers were claiming that Machida was landing "significant strikes", that was not the case. I only saw one or two actual significant strikes landed from Machida. And even if you don't score the fight based on the content of that fight alone, I think most people would agree that from that fight, Davis would appear to be the better next challenger for that classes title, so it's the best thing that he DID win.

It's also REALLY fuckin' sad that THAT was the most interesting fight of the PPV. The rest of it was as unimpressive as I imagined it would be. Aldo looked pretty unprepared and scared. Not aggressive like he usually fights. Sucked that Jungs arm got pulled outta joint to end it. The Tom Watson fight was kinda cool to watch though. Those two motherfuckers were pouring buckets of blood all over each over by the end of it, looked like a fucking murder scene. :D

Yeah.. IMO I agree with you ENTIRELY. Seems like 90%+ are in disagreement with us though.. in both the strikes machida actually landed and what the judges should be scoring. I just think a split for Phil would have probably been more accurate. And yeah, the Aldo fight was so disappointing.. he was playing so cautious against a guy that looked nervous as shit and eventually popped his shoulder out. I was hoping that chinaman would turn up the heat in the 4th and 5th rounds since aldo was getting more sluggish, then 10 seconds later that happened haha.

6 days from benson v. Pettis, should be a good one.. here's that notorious kick from their last meeting:

Concerning the quote above, I am really looking forward to seeing the styles clash among those 4 outstanding fighters.

i watch on that site you gave me a link to every single ufc (ty). I don't have to click one pop up the whole time. Get firefox with add blocker for just when you use that site or something. (if you don't like firefox)  Its a small firefox plugin give it a shot.
