Fuckin' AWESOME fights tonight!

If you missed it, you REALLY missed a good one.

Pettis with a beautiful head kick knockout. Shin to chin, POW, lights out.

Henderson with a devastating upkick from the mat to Edgars face. Wasn't enough for KO, but it was pretty close. 5 round beatdown resulting in Henderson winning by unanimous decision.

And probably my favorite fight of the night, Rampage Jackson and Ryan Bader. I didn't think any of the other fights would've been as good as the Henderson-Edgar fight, but this one was insane. I figured Jackson would've punched Baders head clean off his shoulders, boy was I wrong. Bader relentlessly pummeled the shit out of Jackson the entire time. Kid was fuckin' VICIOUS. Embarrassed the hell out of Rampage. Great fight.

Anyone ever wanna watch the UFC ppv fights for free, just drop into #nadl, usually someones got a link to a free stream for it.

Bout to watch that shit. Frankie edgar is a bouncy little motherfucker im thinking this guy will hunt him down. Im still annoyed with the diaz condit fight tho. That shit was not how i expected, and i actually went half on it with a buddy. Waste of money.

I knew full well quinton would lose. He was doing interviews prior to the fight saying i don't care if i lose i just want an exciting fight. He knows hes done, both of those fighters are sub par for sure. Hes still fun to watch ...and go henderson!

Neither one of them I would call sub par. Rampage Jackson didn't get his impressive record by not knocking people the fuck out. And Bader didn't win Ultimate Fighter based on the opinions of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. Bader was just a little quicker and definitely more aggressive when on the ground. A lot of times, fights of that weight class and above end with a KO or TKO just because they're such god damned powerful punchers. One gets through and connects on the jaw and it's over. Sometimes just a random defensive hook thrown during a fade can get lucky and catch the other guys chin just right, snap his head down, and flick his lights out. Keeping that in mind, I was more surprised that neither one of them ended the fight with a decisive KO before the end of the 3rd and final round.

Been watching Henderson since back when he was still in WEC. Hopefully this one will lead to a Pettis vs. Henderson title fight at some point down the road. I think Pettis has earned a shot at the title.

Wouldn't mind seeing Uriah Faber getting his ass back in the cage again either. That kid was pretty tough back in WEC. Only recall seeing him lose ONCE. And then it was only because he broke his hand halfway through the fight and lost most of his ability to deliver knockout punches. Even with a broke hand, he stuck it out and hung tough to the finish when it went to judges decision and he lost. So even then, not exactly a true loss.

Rampage will never do anything good in the ufc ever again. In fact the only relevant thing i seem to recall him doing was knocking out chuck liddel after chuck prolly blew 3 eight-balls of cocaine the night before. Hes 7 and 4 in the ufc. Dude is done. Im down to watch him fight sub par fighters like dudes who lost to tito ortiz lol but i think of these fights as sideshows. There not fighting for titles there fighting to make money and sell tickets based on name. Just my opinion.

AND the petis thing yeah i wanna see them fight remember that fucking matrix kick? dudes in the wec were so aggressive it seemed..if you dont remember that kick...

Yeah, the wall walk, lol. I don't think he'd have the same success against him again. Henderson's gotten a little smarter since WEC. I've noticed he rarely uses the spinning backfist anymore because it's a little risky. But if they give Pettis another shot at him, Pettis should take note of how Edgar was able to catch most of Henderson's kicks and maybe practice up on adding that to his repertoire. At the same time, Henderson should also take note of it and work on snapping his heel back directly after a kick. He's got huge powerful thighs, but he often puts a little too much on his roundhouse kicks and leaves himself open for a counter.

As for that other dude... fuck that shit. He'd never make it in the UFC. They stick him against some slow little newbie white boy, and yeah, he's gonna do shit like that. He does that against someone who can throw a jab or an uppercut with any kind of speed and he's gonna get knocked on his ass like a fucking fool every time. White boy was obviously brand new and green as grass. Hard to tell from the angle but it almost looked like he was trying to block the step right before the last turn of that kick went over the top to his head. He didn't even look like he was trying to block at all really. Nor did he attempt to counter with a left hook like he should've been taught to do. If someone's turning a spinning kick at you, you're supposed to counter with a punch and use their momentum to add power to the countering hit and punish them for it. Dude looked like a lost little puppy.

Yeah it was both of those guys first fight. The black dude is a well known point karate fighter i doubt he would do well in the ufc.
So who you thinks gonna win the evans bones title fight? Im going with bones, been watchen him since ufc 96. I remember when i saw him fight the first time i said to my friend you watch this dude will wreck everyone until he gets the belt...and here we are. Dude is undefeated and so fun to watch. Should be a funny match, they both go into the cage on all fours for gods sake lol (that wierd anderson silva thing). Them coming from the same camp could help it be a good confident brawl.

UFC 145 tomorrow night!

Going down here in Atlanta. Thought I might be able to get a few free seats, but it didn't work out. Another buddy of mine who's going said he could get me some decent seats in the lower level with his for about 350 a seat, but I declined. I've been to that particular arena before. The seats he's talking about ain't worth the price (especially considering how much I already wagered on the main event, lol). He said they had a few left in the VIP floor level section for 2000-3000 bucks. That's just obscene.

So instead, just gonna sit here at home with a cold beer watching it on some shitty pirate-per-view stream on the PC. Got 800 on Rashad Evans kicking the shit out of Jon Jones. Probably not gonna happen, but it's only money.

No, in reality I ("allegedly") did put money on Rashad Evans. I knew it wasn't a sure thing, I knew chances were pretty good that I'd lose it, but that's why they call it gambling. No big deal, not like one grand is gonna leave me living in a cardboard box. This ain't my first rodeo and it sure ain't the first time I've ever lost money. This past college football bowl season I lost more than I won too, no big deal.

But apparently other people (won't name names, perhaps they were drunk and not in their right mind and would like to apologize at some point) get offended when you decline to make a one-on-one bet with them even though they are nothing more than a mere acquaintance over the internet and neither one of us has any type of reasonable guarantee that the other person is who they say they are OR that they'll pay. Bottom line, sports betting ain't legal in all states. Not gonna get involved with someone I don't know for sure that I can trust. I also don't make "friendly wagers" with singular individuals who aren't in it as a business unless I actually AM friends with them and hang out with them often. There's a reason for this. Between real friends, if you take their money and they find out that they NEEDED that money a few days after, I have no problem giving it back free and clear. But I'm not gonna possibly make enemies with some guy I barely know because he's sore about me taking his money. Not gonna create animosity with someone I barely know. If declining to accept their offer of making a bet with them creates animosity,... so be it. If they wanna think I'm some 30+ year old dork talking big shit about gambling as if I'm trying to impress people and make them think I'm some high-roller with a measly tiny 1k bet and they feel the need to call me a full-of-shit faker,... so be it. No skin off my nose. But I still think it's pretty funny that certain people think 1k is a number someone would throw out as a means to impress people, especially since I've known people who've lost WAAAAY more impressive amounts than that on single bets WAY worse than a fight.

Fights are never a "sure thing", especially when you're dealing with the heavier weight classes. Often times it's ONE SINGLE MIRACULOUS PUNCH that ends it. A fight will be about 50/50 for 2 rounds, then during one little flurry of both fighters tossing hooks at one another, one fighter will get lucky with a punch that lands perfectly on the chin, snaps the other guys head around, and puts him out. That was basically the only hope I had in winning, I knew it, it didn't happen, and I lost. So what. Someone wants me to prove that I did actually make that bet... fuck off, nah, I don't bet REAL money on this shit, you kiddin'?

If they wanna use it as an excuse to go from being nice and friendly towards me to being a total asshole to me literally overnight, then whatever. Maybe from now on I shouldn't talk about small insignificant things like this that I'm not actually doing because it's not legal. Never would've dreamed that I would lose money and someone else would be more upset about it than me.
