Dark Star

I want to give this movie a 10/10. Watched it based on a funny video that was posted here a long time ago. It is without a doubt a very enjoyable and funny movie. It is also a very real entry in the sci-fi genre. Not the action/horror sci-fi that we are used to today. (Don't get me wrong, I love action sci-fi. Especially John Carpenter's The Thing who happens to be the same director)

It was just very hard to let go and enjoy the movie. There was a lot of funny slapstick and the ending was brilliant. It just was very watered down and campy. The acting also didn't fit the jokes. I'm going to compromise and give it an 8.5/10. Watch it and love it.

Inception- 10/10

AMAZING movie! I was a little confused in the beginning, but after the first 10 minutes I understood most of it. Completely amazing from start to finish!!

I can certainly relate to this story, because Ill be damned if none of that happened to me in a dream.

ya I also watched inception, as many others have said predictable ending but it's still an enjoyable one. though we didnt see if the spinning top ever fell or not! very good film.

The first 2 minutes I already knew what was going on. I really liked that movie though. I have to watch that again...possibly bootleg

hmm, I thoguht inception was just okay, despite everyone saying it was awesome, but I thought the last air bender was very good, despite everyone saying it was bad

a-team, watched the first 20 minutes, seemed pretty bad.

x-men wolvernine origins, actually very good. the pacific, it's like band of brothers, so it's very good but not as good

Dark Star, but I can typically only recommend it to a small percentage of friends who I think would really enjoy it.

Wikipedia contains this tidbit, interesting if accurate: "Originally the film was a 45 minute student short filmed on 16mm film. The movie was seen by producer Jack H. Harris, who gained the theatrical distribution rights to the film, and arranged for it to be transferred to 35mm, and paid for the addition of 38 minutes which brought the movie up to feature film length."

I'm curious which scenes the 45 minute version included.

Miracle at St. Anna - 10/10

I've seen a few Spike Lee films before. I hated them all. But this one was fucking beautiful. SEE THIS MOVIE!

Cop Out

Directed By Kevin Smith / 10

I really liked it. It played out like a pretty good typical cop comedy. Tracy Morgan isn't funny, as usual, but Bruce Willis more than makes up for it. The other thing that I noticed is that it's rated R because it should be. It's not one of those awful comedies that are pushed up to an R rating solely in an attempt to get a bigger audience. It seems like my kind of comedy is coming back in style.

I actually watched that. You tricked me! Why would you do such a thing? That was the worst thing I've ever seen. You're heartless. How dare you!

I saw Salt recently too. Another "meh" movie. It was reasonably entertaining overall, I suppose. Scrawny Angelina kicking guys asses is a tough one for me to buy. Worth seeing I suppose, but only if it's free.

I remember seeing a short trailer of it on TV. I noticed her doing some wall-walk hook punch on a guy. I also noticed how SHITTY it was. She barely climbed the fucking wall. If they'd put some mediocre poor clip of action like that in the trailer as a hook to get people to come see it, I can't imagine the rest of it was any better.

Also, I don't see what people find so attractive about her. When she was younger, hell yeah, she was hot. But these days she looks like she's had too much collagen and silicone pumped into them lips and tittays. I don't guess her looks have faded as much as Jennifer Anniston's though. Way to trade UP, Mr. Pitt. That's how its done, gentlemen.
