Holy shit/lol @ Virginia beating ga tech after their big win against fsu. This kind of"chaos" in the ACC will hurt the conference, as will nc state keeping it close with Clemson. But, when teams exchange losses in the other power 5 conferences it's indicative of strength and helps them. Everyone's an ACC hater

I don't hold out much hope of Georgia putting up any kind of a fight against Florida next Saturday.

As hilarious as it is, now it's one less ranked opponent nc will face. Hopefully Clemson stays unbeaten until unc beats them in the championship

Florida won the game because of their defense.  Harris was the player I expected 8 of 19 and a couple of his completions were really good catches from the receiver.  Harris threw 5 or 6 balls on target for the game.  The one thing he brings is elusiveness that can turn into a big play, like happened on that 1 FLA touchdown.  Harris also had the fumble that gave UGA the field goal. 

The UGA QB actually had better stats 15 of 33, 19 of 33 if you count the 4 interceptions    UGA had a couple of big play chances and just misfired.  Coming into this game, I thought UGA would be able to run the ball a lot better than they did.  Once the run game was shutdown, UGA was in big trouble because they are not going to beat good teams using the pass.

I still see trouble for Florida if they make it to the SEC championship game.  If a team can score 21 points on them and that team has a good defense, Florida won't have enough offense to overcome that.

It sucks. ESPN's College Game Day was considering coming to Chapel Hill for the first time predicting a #21 NC v. #18 Duke match-up. Partly due to their rankings, partly due to the basketball rivalry and bball season about to start, and partly due to it being the biggest unc duke football match-up on paper since 1939. But, due to the refs, that ain't happening. All refs on-field and in the booth are suspended for 2 games. The acc refs were complete shit in the va nc game too.

Yeah, but it wasn't a "legit" play. One guy's knee was down before the ball left his hand. The refs SHOULD have been suspended, and longer than 2 games. It's pretty ridiculous how often they blow calls in NCAA football. Their job isn't any harder than NFL officials. I realize there's far more NCAA games per week than in the NFL which equates to a greater number of officials/refs and a higher probability of screw-ups, but... come on, some of this shit getting called and NOT getting called properly is just laziness and sloppy procedures.

I wouldn't chalk the win up to Florida being "good" at defense or offense in a very measurable sense. I would chalk it up to Georgia being "awful" at the most important position in the entire game: QUARTERBACK. Jesus, they had EVERYONE out there trying to throw the damn ball. I bet Richt would've tried sticking one of the fucking cheerleaders out there if he could've. "Here, you give it shot, you couldn't do any worse than these 3 idiots we already got." The only reason Georgia did so well earlier this season is because Nick Chubb was still healthy and the teams they were playing REALLY sucked. Everyone was so happy with Greyson Lambert as a QB after the South Carolina game, when the only reason he completed so many passes is because South Carolina is abso-fucking-lutely horrible.

Richt better hope the Dawgs win at least two more games this season. Otherwise he might find himself in line behind Steve Spurrier at the unemployment office. They still have to play Kentucky, Auburn, Georgia Southern, and Georgia Tech. Hell, at this point, I don't doubt that Georgia Southern could handily beat them. Kentucky will definitely beat them. Auburn and Georgia Tech will probably beat them too. I'd say Mark Richt is probably gonna need at the very least 2 more wins to keep the athletic dept from tossing him. I don't suspect they'd abide by a 6-6 season and probably wouldn't appreciate a 7-5 season too much either. If he gets fired, I shiver at the thoughts of who might take over afterwards.

Yeah, maybe, but honestly I wasn't shocked as much by the fact that they did lose the game. I was more shocked at how they actually tied it by the end of the 4th quarter. They finally have a reasonably capable runningback in Devonta Freeman. I thought Atlanta bringing Steven Jackson on from St Louis was gonna be a really good thing, but... it wasn't. It was anything BUT good. He was getting too old and too beat up to plow through defenders, plus his veteran and star player status dictated that he'd get a nice fat salary, which meant that all the money HE was getting paid was taking a larger chunk out of the overall salary cap, which means the team can't afford to hire OTHER better players at other positions. Freeman's not overly amazing, he's not blasting through guys with superhuman strength like Michael Turner used to back when he was in his prime, but he's effective and gets positive yards. And that's a big plus considering they've been totally lacking any running ability for the past probably 4 or more years now. Kinda sucks that Roddy White is basically on the way out now. A few years ago, Roddy White used to be who I considered one of the top 3 best receivers in the entire NFL. Julio Jones has finally started snagging every pass that comes near him, something he wasn't doing when they first drafted him... and now Roddy White is basically just "there", he's rarely targeted, and most of the time when he is, he gets outplayed by the defender.

Just frustrating as hell to watch as an Atlanta Falcons fan. Over the past 8 years, they've had all the key pieces to make an impressive Superbowl winning team, they've just never had ALL those key pieces all working at prime maximum output all in the same season. A few years back when they made it to the Conference championship game, the only piece of the puzzle they were missing was a strong running attack. The passing game was still good enough to overcome it most of the time that year. But in that Conference championship game, the absence of a good running game is the one thing that lost the game for them. Had they somehow beaten San Fransisco that year to go on to the Superbowl and face the Baltimore Ravens, I have no doubt they would've beaten Baltimore. But... they couldn't beat San Fransisco, so they never got the chance.

Atlanta is to pro football what the Chicago Cubs are to pro baseball. Just an eternal running joke where people hear you're an Atlanta Falcons fan and ask, "Are the Falcons gonna win the Superbowl this year?" just to fuck with you.

When last years rankings came out, Ohio state's biggest wins were penn state, Cincinnati, and Illinois with a loss to va tech. The other games were navy, Kent state, Minnesota, and Maryland. They were ranked 16th beating no ranked teams and losing to an unranked team.

North Carolina's biggest wins are Pittsburgh, ga tech, and Illinois with a loss to sc. After that it's wins against Virginia, wake forest, ncatt and another shitty school. They are the only one-loss power conference team not ranked, beating a ranked team and losing to an unranked team.

These situations are a little too similar to have such a drastically different result. They have zero respect for the ACC and kiss the big 10's, the sec's, and notre dame's ass. The only difference is with the sec is that they are actually good and notre dame is a good team also. But still, they ranked notre dame at 5th which is the ONLY reason why they put Clemson at 1st. It was a great win, but I'm sure you can get what I'm saying.
