I know everyone is thrilled that "The Final Countdown" has made a comeback in the Geico commercial.

If the Gators can get past Kentucky (That is a BIG if), then they probably lose to TENN the next week.

I hate to say it but the Gators could lose the next 6 games.  I would be happy if they went 3-3 in the next 6.

Have faith, friend. The Rams beat the damn Seahawks. The Falcons somehow didn't lose last night. Maybe this is opposite year.

Mizz beats UConn
Texas A&M beats Nevada
LSU beats Auburn
Vandy beats Austin Peay
Miss St. beats Northwestern State
Georgia beats South Carolina
Ark beats Texas Tech

My prediction:
The ACC coastal division makes the big 10 look bad, like they are.

Unc, Miami, and va tech came through. Duke came up short, but who cares about duke anyway. Or Pittsburgh, for that matter. Big 10 sucks.

SEC week 3 predictions

Mizz beats UConn - YEP, barely
Texas A&M beats Nevada - YEP
LSU beats Auburn - Fuck yes they did. Heisman talk already!
Vandy beats Austin Peay - Ugh. 'Twas all out rape. Vandy is a little improved this year. Not enough to win the SEC East though.
Miss St. beats Northwestern State - Yep
Georgia beats South Carolina - Hell yeah, they did. My Dawgs completely mauled them.
Ark beats Texas Tech - Nope
Tenn beats Western Carolina - Yep. Tennessee actually ain't half bad this year.
FLA beats Kentucky - Yep. Kentucky ain't half bad either. I think Tennessee's better though. And the Gators look kinda like they might have their shit together finally.
Alabama beats Ole Miss - Nope. Rebels won by 6. I used to be Tide fan, but I think they've enjoyed a reign over the SEC West for far too long. So normally I'd be happy that Alabama lost, but I was kinda hoping they'd remain #2 until they came to play Georgia October 3rd. Beating a #2 Alabama would've given the Dawgs a good boost.

Georgia's win ass-whooping on South Carolina was sooooo satisfying to watch. :D A few years back, Georgia played the Gamecocks in South Carolina and got totally routed. Then after that game, the Cocks turned to shit and lost a bunch whilst Georgia kept on winning and UGA won the SEC East anyway. Still, it was a bad enough loss that Dawgs fans hadn't felt like we got a proper revenge... until now. ;D

Was kinda surprised that Notre Dame was able to shut down Georgia Tech as well as they did. Coach Kelly obviously got the Irish studied up on proper anti-option defense.

I almost picked Texas Tech over Ark, but I let my SEC pride cloud my judgement  :raincloud:
The Mizz game was flat out ugly to watch.
FLA plays Tenn next week in the Swamp, but I think Tenn is good enough to get the win on the road.
Ole Miss is good but they did get a fluke TD and ALA turned the ball over 5 times.
Georgia came into the game concerned about the QB and the guy sets a NCAA record for passing accuracy - http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13695657/greyson-lambert-georgia-bulldogs-sets-ncaa-completion-percentage-record
I see UGA easily handling everyone in the SEC East and If their QB plays half as good as he did yesterday, I see them winning the SEC.

One difference I've noticed in UGA from last year to this one is their defense, particularly the D-line and their pass rush. Last year, their pass rush was kinda weak. This year, they're turning it up and getting in the middle of the QB's shit every play. Their guys downfield ain't always the best tacklers, so making the QB nervous as shit helps fuck with his completion percentage.

I dunno that Lambert is really as good as the stats say after he played against South Carolina. I think the Gamecocks just played a terrible game all around. Except for on one or two drives, Georgia's defense shut them the fuck down HARD. Carolina's defense played kinda lazy with loose coverage that allowed for passing. Greyson Lambert isn't even supposed to be the starting QB. The guy who's supposed to be the starter, Brice Ramsey, actually WAS supposed to be as good as Lambert looked against South Carolina. When they recruited him, he was the top QB in the entire state and everyone was speculating that he'd become the greatest QB to ever play for Georgia. That... really hasn't happened. And that's why Lambert is at UGA in the first place and not Virginia. Ramsey just wasn't gonna get shit done.

I can't complain about Lambert though. I don't foresee anyone saying the word "Heisman" when talking about him, but he's pretty decent. They could do a lot worse, and they WOULD be doing worse without him.

Speaking of teams doing without a QB... Dallas. :nana: Actually I think Dallas is better off with their backup Brandon Weeden than with Tony Homo.

And Chip Kelly is regretting the living shit out of hiring Sam Bradford. Apparently it wasn't the rest of the teams fault that St Louis Rams couldn't win any games when Bradford was the QB. The dude fuckin' SUCKS! I always thought he was a pretty good QB and was just stuck with shitty receivers. Turns out I was fuckin' WRONG! :D

Oh yeah. How could I forget. The god damn Falcons won AGAIN yesterday! :WTF: After they won the season opener last week, I said, "Meh, I guess I'll start watching their games again and see if it was just a fluke." They did good in the 1st quarter, but sucked total ass for the 2nd and 3rd as New York started to run away with it. So at that point, I turned it off. My roommate came in later and asked, "Did the Falcons win?" I said, "I'm pretty sure they lost, but I didn't see the end of it. In fact... YES, THEY LOST. I'm so sure of their awfulness that I'd bet you I'd cut my own dick off with a pair of scissors if they actually won, and may God strike me dead if I don't. THAT is how sure I am that they lost even though I didn't see the end of the game."

And sure enough,... they fucking won.  :frustration:  No, I didn't cut my own dick off, but I'd advise against anyone standing next to me for the next 50 years if you're religious, otherwise you might get caught in a lightning bolt not intended for you.

Meh. 2 games against Philly and New York, both of whom have performed ABYSMALLY so far this year. I still say the Falcons suck balls. Fuck them. Fuck their new joke of a coach. DEFINITELY fuck the GM Thomas Dimitrov. And fuck the owner Arthur Blank for looking like a homosexual french maitre d.

Ohio state ... a joke.

3 and 0 so far and ranked #1. Not a bad joke to be if you're gonna be one.

Ohio State's just been a good team for the past probably 6 years or better. I dunno the precise count, but I think in the last 8 seasons they've probably lost fewer than 6 games. And as good as they may or may not be or have ever been, they don't really have the same in-conference competition that SEC teams face. They've done so well for so long that they automatically start off the season ranked high. And when they never lose like they always do, they get to take advantage of everyone elses tough competition when they lose and drop in the rankings. But still, even when they get to ride out the 12-game regular season on an easier schedule, they always get shit done and win the conference title and a big time bowl berth.

I know what you mean though. I'm sick and tired of seeing teams like Alabama and Ohio State always winning. The NCAA has rules in place that are supposed to make recruiting fair and honest. But the NCAA can't forbid student athletes from making their own choices. And when Nick Saban or Urban Meyer shows up at your front door with a couple of National Title trophies under each arm asking what school you wanna attend and play football at... are you gonna play for someone who's won it all before, or are you gonna go play for... fuckin' Vanderbilt or Wake Forest or some shit? Yeah. Me neither.

I was mainly alluding to how the games went for ohio state and mich state, and how sports media interpreted it as well as what happened with the rankings. Ohio state barely beat northern illinois. It was close, and if the questionable calls went in n. ill's favor, then the outcome would have been different. Yeah N. Illinois is probably the best d1 team from a lesser conference but still, it was THAT close and several calls were bull shit. Air force kept the game close with michigan state up until the 4th quarter or so, where michigan state pulled off by a BARELY reasonable margin for a semi-decent team against air force... And those are our #1 and #2 teams, lol.

There is so much conference favoring it's ridiculous, whether it be scheduling or sports media. The scheduling is obvious. With media, here's a recent example. The ACC coastal had 5 match-ups with the big 10 west, something that typically only happens in basketball and they call it a A. conference v. B. conference challenge. Here are the web articles hyping this before last weekend:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2015/09/17/college-football/32512485/

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/09/19/welcome-to-acc-big-ten-football-challenge-saturday/

http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/9/18/9353145/acc-big-ten-challenge-but-in-football

http://saturdayblitz.com/2015/09/17/big-ten-previews-odds-predictions-games-acc/

http://www.csnchicago.com/big-ten/week-3-big-ten-previews-football-gets-its-own-big-tenacc-challenge

...etc

The ACC coastal won this 3:2. Duke barely losing to northwestern, and pittsburgh who sucks ass barely lost to iowa via a 58 yd FG kicked AS time ran out. ACC winning by an average of 21 points, and losing by an average of 6 points.  Because the ACC coastal won, there are ZERO articles about it. If the big 10 had won, there would've been a dozen. Yet the big 10 rises in the conference power rankings and the SEC drops. All we're hearing is about how great the big 10 is when they're extremely lucky that OSU and MSU even won their games, let alone retain their rankings. And they're also lucky that the ACC coastal, the most mocked division out of the top 5 conferences, didn't shut them out in this "challenge".

Ohio state is a good team, but all of this shit is a joke.

Fortunately, after game 4, 5, or 6, everyone finally gets a real feel for who the best teams are currently. UNfortunately, the season is only 12 games long, so such dumbfuckery effectively persists in abundance for HALF the god damned season.

But yeah, that is a good point which I wish SOMEONE would fucking pull their head out of their ass and listen to. I'm pretty fucking tired of these dicks in suits on TV "educating" me about which teams, conferences, and divisions I should think are the best. It seems to only get worse and worse every year. It's like these so-called experts don't even watch the games and the only fragments of football they ever witness at all are the brief highlight clips they show off. You got Lou Holtz spitting all over the place talking about how I should come Catholic mass with his old-as-dirt soft palette speech impediment, and he's annoying as fuck, but at least he kinda knows what the hell he's talking about most of the time.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
