I s'pose we could try something like the way the "dm" server alternates between powerups on, and off...

Could possibly have warehouse alternate between PS on, and off... ?

Don't mess with what isn't broken!  This doesn't need to be DM8 Sheridan, no need to have any super focus items I don't think.  Let's focus on the fragging! =)))

I kinda liked the semi-marathon style Mage had ages ago; 20 minute time limit, no frag limit.  Or DS had it the same way but 15 minute time limits I believe.  Preferably BFG disabled so it caters to the less spamtastic weapons, other than GL, gotta give some of the spammers something to play with =) And would be nice if the PS was disabled too so it's not so heavily focused on making sure you get that one item and more focused on just general crazy fragging. 

Shovel.DS kindly offered to make his server available for this purpose; however it turns out to be easier for me to manage servers when they're running locally.  So I am most grateful for the offer, but I have set up the server locally instead.

GOTO DM8   (or, GOTO WAREHOUSE, and GOTO Q2DM8 also work as aliases.)

I have configured it with timelimit 20, fraglimit 0 for now.

Following the DS config, I have:

  powershield -> yellow armor
  bfg -> grenade launcher

I don't believe the Mage DM8 server or the DS DM8 server is around anymore, correct me if I'm wrong.  It's such a great map with really long hallways for good rail action, and lots of sections for fights between specific weapons (hyper, SSG, RL, etc.)

Anyway, I'm playing again after many months being absent or mostly absent and miss not having a DM8 server to frag on.  Perhaps TS could eliminate one of it's many seldom-used servers or just add another assuming it can take it =)

Sorry to hear about this, hopefully he's able to make a full recovery.  I never had a problem with Ridix, I'm sure he's an ok guy outside of game, as are most of the notorious members of the quake 2 community I imagine.

"Noodnick"

This little critter died this morning. 

She was about 12 years old, with a very unusual "personality".  In some respects more like a dog in the way she'd hang around where we ate just waiting for any crumb to fall to the floor - she'd dart over and scarf up just about any kind of food, stuff the other cat would show not the slightest interest in... we had nicknamed her Hoover for her food-crumb-vaccuuming-like behavior.

How about a nice tall glass of water?  That's pretty much all I ever drink these days, and I don't miss or desire sugary/flavored drinks anymore either.  I used to drink soda a lot, mountain dew, dr. pepper, coke, pepsi, you name it, etc.  I do drink white grape juice or orange juice occasionally, but not that often.  I just keep a Brita water filter pitcher in my fridge and fill that thing up and when I'm thirsty I pour myself a full glass of water, and I always drink a full glass of water when I eat as well.
