Yeah. I WANTED to pick the Chiefs, I damn well knew it was the smarter pick, but Tennessee's persistent survival gave me pause and made me think this could be one of THOSE years when the underdog finds the blessing of the football gods and goes all the way. Sucks for them, they were so close.

Should be one hell of a Superbowl though. God damn, this one's gonna be impossible to pick. Probably one of the most dead-even matchups in recent Superbowl memory.

Having a couple old friends over tomorrow for a superbowl party. I've got two 3 gallon oak casks in my aging cellar that say 2010 on them, so I'm gonna crack one of them open and fill a few bottles. 10 year old homemade single malt bourbon! (9yrs and a few months actually, but for "advertising purposes" I'm gonna call it 10... close enough) The oldest I've let one age so far before drinking it was 6 or 7 years I think, and it turned out really good. The others that I had previously opened from the batches I made back in 2010 was honestly the best stuff I've ever made, so this one should be exceptionally good. Gonna set aside 2 bottles for tomorrow, the rest (12 or 13 bottles) I'm gonna try to sell for about 50 bucks each.

One bottles just for me. Gonna get shitfaced, sauced, blitzed, and hammered six ways from sunday for the first time in a long time tomorrow. Might even smoke me a cigar or two, haven't decided yet. Broke my foot kicking the shit out of someones car today so I need something to numb me, but their car looks way worse than my foot.

Hobbled around walmart all night tonight getting shit for the party, and I was seriously considering climbing in the buggy and having my old lady push me around, lol. But it's walmart, it's a nice place with respectable well dressed people don'tcha know, so I didn't. Spent the rest of night exploding cream cheese all over the inside of the microwave while making my famous cream cheese cheddar salsa rollups that I always make for Superbowl parties. Oh lawdy, She's gonna pissed when she sees what I did to her microwave tomorrow, LOL.

As for my pick...

Well, my head says Kansas City. I think on paper they probably have the stats to support that they are the best option to win.

But my heart says San Fran. Not because I love musicals and their fabulous pride parades (their parades are definitely fabulous). But because Andy Reid seems CURSED. He's gotten so close so many times both in Philly and Kansas City, but he's been denied every time. My "gut" instinct says that trend will likely continue.

PLUS... it's really a 2-way race for the lead at this point, Haunted can only hope to accrue 8 total points at most for 3rd place. So for the sake of making it interesting, and because I really think it's such a who-knows flip-a-coin kinda matchup, I'm gonna pick San Fran. But I do think I'd prefer to pick the Chiefs, and I hope they do win. Andy Reid has fought and clawed and looked like a mad walrus long enough, he needs a trophy.

Something ESPN did to make football like March madness. I believe people are filling out brackets and then they'll run thousands of simulations to see how computers would think it would pan out over-all. Whoever has a "perfect" bracket would win something. Just one of the many things they're doing in an attempt to fill the void of zero sports to watch.

Are they adding the Ohio St. & ND bias factors into the calculations

I would assume yes since that bias is already calculated in FPI and s&p. But, if they were to rig models up similar to March madness anticipating plenty of "upsets" to occur then that could help possibly.

Nonetheless I'm definitely looking forward to next season. UNC is considered the most legit dark horse contender nationally by many. It's been awhile for me, haha. Last year's rebuilding season combined with stellar recruiting (who would've thought NC could lan the #2 recruit overall nationally) was a lot to be happy about for a Carolina fan.
