I agree with everything said but still feel there's very little chance of Alabama getting in. Not because the committee is going to rank everyone right in the end, but I think they're going to have 2 choices:

1. LSU vs Alabama without tua rematch or
2. Alabama vs Oklahoma for a matchup that could have more viewers than the semi-final games.

Adding more to the post above:

There's still games to be played obviously, and they might still might put Alabama in but I doubt it. The team that might get screwed is Oklahoma for the sake of the bama Oklahoma matchup. BUT, maybe not. Oregon or Utah might impress a lot at the end. Something I didn't know was that Utah's QB and their best player (a RB I think) were both out for their only loss against USC who has improved to 7-4 if I recall right.

UNC has continued their streak of losing in overtime lol. At least they're in every game, and Sam Howell has now cracked the top 15 in quarterbacks and still has the best 4th quarter stats. He's on track to break both TJ Yates and Mitch trubisky's record for 1st year as a starter (passing TD's) and he's a true freshman. That's pretty dang good. UNC is barely losing any seniors and is having an excellent recruiting year. I'm pleased with the direction they're heading so far.

I think the big 10 is going to get exposed in the post-season. Teams like Wisconsin and Michigan will get better bowls (possibly wake Forest) but they won't play the rest of the ACC. UNC, Pitt, Virginia, Virginia tech--and maybe even Miami/fsu depending on the matchup, are going to walk all over the core of the big 10. That's what happens when they get overrated in the preseason and play no one out of conference in the regular season. You wind up with the most ranked teams and the most bowl losses.

A big question for me, will be how Ala plays against Auburn.  The game will be played @ Auburn and without Tua.
Auburn has 3 losses but they were to top 10 teams.  Auburn's 3 losses were also very close games - LSU by 3, UGA by 7, FLA by 11 (FLA had a late TD to pull away).

Sam Howell breaks Mitch Trubisky's school record for most TD's in a single season, and Trevor Lawrence's record of most td's by a true freshman in FBS. I did a google search and only campus media reported on it

I really think in a year or 2 NC is going to be the team to challenge clemson in the ACC, perhaps more.

I missed the texas a&m Georgia game, but I did see loads of rants claiming the refs made the win happen lol. Oh and Oregon's out. Utah's gotta blow everyone's doors off, because if not and somehow alabama runs the score up on auburn bad. . . 

Still think the alabama oklahoma matchup will be very enticing to the committee though, plus no lsu bama rematch without tua. Two huge fanbases.

I dunno about the refs making the win happen, but they probably should've called at least 1 pass interference against Georgia. They got lazy going into the 4th, and Texas A&M was NOT ready to accept defeat. They were playing their best football of the whole game late in it. It was almost like the Georgia players thought they already won the game and could slack off. It almost royally fucked them. A&M was considered a sure win, and they already clinched the SEC East last weekend, but a loss this week would've probably knocked them out of the playoff seeding even if they HAD'VE gone on to beat LSU at the SEC Championship (which I highly doubt will happen, but maybe they'll surprise me and play like they mean it for once).

But there were things that didn't get called for BOTH sides, like some pretty obvious holding calls against A&M's offensive tackles in particular that prevented Georgia from getting more sacks. And the one non-called pass interference late in the game that most people are referring to really wasn't all that bad. On slo-mo replay it looked worse than it did in real time. It was just tight coverage, and sometimes some grabbing is gonna happen. But I think most of us would prefer it if they didn't call every little tiny debatable thing like that. When it's YOUR team, and they're trying to come from behind late in the game to upset a #4 team, you're probably not gonna like it not getting called. But if you're watching a game where ALL FUCKING GAME LONG the refs are throwing flags like Rip Taylor throwing confetti at a gay parade, that shit gets SUUUUUPER annoying, and it makes the game drag on way longer than it should.

Here is my crazy but very slightly possible way FLA makes the playoffs.  FLA is sitting at #8.
This weeks games
#5 ALA gets beat by Auburn and drops (they would need to get beat badly to drop behind FLA)
#7 Okla gets beat by Okla St. this week
FLA could move to #6

Future Games
#6 Utah becomes #5 then gets beat by Oregon in PAC12 championship
#4 UGA gets beat by LSU in SEC Championship (UGA would have to lose by a larger margin than FLA did to LSU)
Okla barely beats Baylor for the Big 12

FLA moves to #4 
FLA is not a playoff quality team, they cannot run the ball.  This is all very unlikely, but not completely impossible.

I have a better scenario, however it's more so for the entire state of Florida and not the gators.

This is what has transpired in Florida this far: Miami > FSU, Florida > Miami, FIU > Miami, FAU > FIU, UCF > FAU

To ice the cake we need FSU to beat Florida and USF to beat UCF in rivalry week. 

I think we'd still call the gators the best team in Florida even if that happened,  but who would be 2nd?

The last couple of years (before 2019) - I would say UCF was probably the best team.
I would like to see them join the state team head to head games, even if it only happens every 2-3 years.

FLA - FLA St. play every year
FLA St. - Miami play every year
FLA played Miami this year
I would like to see UCF get in there somehow.

Yeah that would be nice. UNC plays duke and NC State every year. Unfortunately duke is having a subpar year and NC State an even worse year (for them). They played app state and wake too though this season who are both having their best seasons they've had in awhile. UNC has to beat NC State to become bowl eligible although they're probably in anyway assuming there's extra spots to be awarded to 5 loss teams. Projections have NC playing Michigan State or Illinois I've seen.

On a random note I saw that UNC's opener is Auburn next year

Some love for the big 10 tonight. OSU over LSU and penn state over Florida. Well now we know. If alabama beats auburn, and lsu beats georgia, then alabama gets the #4 spot. They made it so bama and lsu don't have to play in the semis.

Michigan upsetting OSU would spoil that as well. Man, threat upset would be nice...

I didn't "check your math" on it, so to speak, but yeah, I did think it was pretty far-fetched that Florida could end up in the playoffs. But then again, there's plenty of time for horrible accidents, natural disasters, and terrorist attacks to occur before bowl season.

Thank you Ole Miss for starting out rivalry week with something special, lol. Some of these celebrating in the end zone calls I'm not a fan with. Not like I'm passionately against them, but when that LSU punter faked then scored 6 points that the first season the rule was implemented I felt for the kid. A punter taking it for 6 when it wasn't the coaches call is badass(and equally stupid if it doesn't get a 1st down). I think all he did was extend the ball out to the side of him. But there rule has been out for awhile now and this fucker crawls on all fours and takes a leak like a dog. Lmao. I sort of halfway approve since it was the most eventful thing that happened in the game but damn what an idiot.

UNC NC state started out rainy. State led 10-6 at halftime with 7 of those points coming from the play after an interception.  Then NC scored 28 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter. Sam Howell ended his first season as 4th acc all-time passing TD leader, and as a true freshman. Halfway through the 4th quarter mack was able to put in 2nd and 3rd string including the 3rd string qb. Was a way better ending than last year (after 2 terrible seasons the fedora era ended with a brawl between nc and NC state resulting in 7 ejections) 

ESPN has NC playing LA Tech or FIU, but hopefully this happens instead:

I still want to see NC against a big 10 team but texas would be a good game.

Flawda and Gawja seemed to handle their rival games. Clemson too. Auburn was everyone's hero, michigan was not. Between the shoe crap, the opportunities missed, and the opportunities given to OSU it was all pretty typical. I was able to watch that game while supervising my son's 4th birthday.
