Wooooo, dis ugly.

Oklahomo's getting beaten pretty bad. They've managed to score 2 TD's, but LSU's got 6 passing TD's only a little past halfway through the 2nd quarter. The way LSU is playing today, I'd rank them better than any Alabama team from the last 12 years.

Indeed. Very ugly. LSU is THAT good, but that ain't the whole story. Doesn't look good on the big 12, and good for the sec. I know everyone is over getting two SEC teams in the playoffs, and this wasn't a year for that to happen, but it's fairly obvious why the SEC should be the only conference where two teams get in.

Memphis did decent yeah. They're a solid team, I just bitch a lot over the hate for the ACC. I watched most of it. It was an entertaining and physical game. 2nd half starting now.

I don't think I can stay up for the whole clemson OSU game. Concerning the targeting hit/call:

Right when I saw that hit I asked myself hmm was that targeting? Saw it a 2nd time, thought the same thing. The announcers don't mention targeting at all during the 5-6 slow motion replays of it, UNTIL the refs want to take another look at it. Buckeye dick riders haha

I was sweating for a minute there. Thought Ohio State might actually pull it off and make me put my foot in my mouth. The score didn't accurately reflect Ohio State's QB's performance though. Yeah, I'm an Ohio State hater, and that's what an Ohio State hater is gonna say. BUT... you look at the passes Justin Fields made. None were long ones that I remember, and he did attempt a few long ones, but mostly overthrew or underthrew those. Most of his passing success were shorter throws, within probably 5 yds of the line of scrimmage. That's the kind of football that Georgia tends to play, because the short pass game is almost thought of as part of the run offense. And that's really where Ohio State was making their yards, the run game. I'm not real sure, but I think Justin Fields was actually in the running for the Heisman this year, wasn't he? That's bullshit. His runningback or fullback deserve a Heisman before he does. I've said it 30 times already and now I'm gonna say it 31... if he was really worth a shit, he'd be the QB at Georgia right now.

Funny how the two teams with team-hopper turncoat QB's lost.

Although I can't really consider Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields to be comparable. Jalen Hurts isn't that bad of a QB.

I didn't really see that play, I started watching just after that targeting call. But there was a play later where Clemson threw pass that immediately bounced out of a receivers grasp, and it was CLEARLY an incomplete pass... and the one douchebag announcer Kirk Herbstreit (not Chris Fowler, he's okay AFAIK) was whining about "clearly that's a 'football move', that should be a fumble." If it were Alabama (his OTHER favorite team), he would've been saying he thought it was incomplete.

I think I said it probably a month or two ago, but LSU's only real obstacle in getting a national championship this year was Georgia at the SEC Championship game, and they trucked it past Georgia without any real problems, so... in my opinion they were gonna win it all even before today. Today and Jan 13th are just formalities. From seeing Clemson's very good but still inconsistent performance tonight, I don't think LSU has a thing to worry about. Clemson would have to play 100% mistake-free football to have a chance at keeping it a close contest, because the way LSU is playing now, they very seldom make any mistakes, and their QB seems to spot every little weak point in a defense. I think he threw for 8 fucking TD's today. That's fucking crazy. I think they could've scored damn near 100 points on Oklahoma if they really wanted to. And that's generally thought of as a dick move and poor sportsmanship in college football, but... wouldn't you like to see it happen just once though?

I agree with all of that. LSU looks unstoppable.

It all depends on how well Clemson's defense does against the best offense/qb in the nation. If they keep lsu under 30 points, clemson had a very good shot. If they score over 50 like against everyone else, then no.

23. WKU vs Western Mich. - Tried looking at their schedules and it's still not much help. I dunno, I just get the feeling Western Kentucky should be the better team. But even then, when one team is only better by a little bit (which is what this one appears to be), the better team isn't guaranteed to win. This one's sort of a coin flip in my opinion.

25. Cal vs Illinois - Another total fuckin' coin flip. In fact, I found a webpage that does a random coin flip, and I was gonna re-pick today based on it, lol. Illinois beat (6)Wisconsin back on Oct 19th, but only by 1 point. Other notable wins... none really. Notable loses were to Michigan State by 3, and to (19)Iowa by 9. Notable wins for Cal were against Washington by 1, and Ole Miss by 8, which is kinda like, "So what."

The coin flip I did said Cal... and I'm hesitant to defy the gods of the coin toss, but I'm leaving this one on Illinois. Having one good day where they beat Wisconsin I suppose is enough to give them the benefit.

On that spreadsheet I picked against the big 10 except penn state and michigan state haha. But, Illinois v. California may as well be a coin flip. I picked Cal initially based on my big 10 hate mostly. But, I do think that the big 10's 'powerhouse defense' stats are completely untrue because outside from a couple teams they just have zero offense... and they play no one out of conference so they all just pretend it's from their fantastic defense as a conference collectively. I'll stick with Cal then.

WKU, Louisville, Cal, Florida are my picks.

MAN people are making a big deal about the officiating last night. It's like they had a whole script prepared worshiping the ground OSU walks on and they're pissed because they lost and couldn't use it.

Funny stat to share with OSU fans:

NC held clemson to 331 total yards and 21 points.
OSU allowed 417 total yards and 29 points.

If it's fair to judge clemson on their performance against NC all season long, then it's fair to compare OSU to NC

You'd think that a fanbase that has been humbled again and again would actually start being a tad humble but nope, not the suckeyes. They deserve every bit of it.

Florida going for it on 4th down deep in their own territory... BALLS. SUCH BALLS. And it almost turned out bad. I was watching that thinking, "Jesus, can he run any slower?" Then he flips it off to the back all oddly and wobbly, who damn near dropped it, and it's a miracle he didn't get stopped behind the line to gain.

Quite impressed by Virginia though. I think their QB won't back next year, which probably sucks for them, he ain't too bad. Best I've seen Virginia play in a loooooooong time... or more like best EVER.

Didn't know Todd Grantham had ended up as the Def Coordinator at Florida either. No wonder they're starting to get their shit together. I'd just about give anything to have him back at Georgia. He was the best Defense coach Georgia EVER had, probably ever WILL have. Florida better hold on to him. All y'all need now is a decent offensive coordinator (eh, maybe a better head coach too... see the above bit about the 4th and short run, nudge nudge) and you'll be challenging Georgia for the SEC East again.
