How about what Carolina has done after Newton has been sidelined?

I do feel for cam, a little, I think that franchise has run him into the ground a bit. He played through a lot of injuries. But, he's also a fruit cake with a weird ego. So I can't help but laugh when a back up that nobody knows is the first backup QB since the 90s to go 4-0 in his first career starts. And how about Christian McCaffrey?! Holy shit, that kid is really putting up some numbers. Then Luke Kuechly, a top 3 linebacker every year and arguably the best, is putting up even more exceptional numbers than usual. So long Cam and thanks for 2016!

We all know his potential though. Hopefully the franchise doesn't run CMC into the ground in the next few years. He's playing like someone that's gonna tear their ACL one of these days...

Holy shit. Bammers think thems er dern fightin' words if you say anything about their Alabama Auburn rivalry. This grizzly dippin nutria smoking bammer was telling me that bama Auburn is the greatest sports rivalry in the world. I'm like dude the world? Don't you mean college football? He says no in the entire world in sports HBO did a special on it. I say I certainly respect it more than ohio state Michigan, texas oklahoma, etc but the world?? HELL NO. He got pissed!! I mentioned yankees vs red Sox, ali vs frasier, and then UNC Duke in basketball and I think I may have caused him to have a stroke. Thank GOD I didn't bring up soccer, I think he would've tried to strangle me.

And yes I know it's a huge game. I told him I recalled a special saying that ohio state Michigan was overrated, they had auburn Alabama Auburn as #1 and Carolina duke #2 for ALL college sports but NOPE, shouldn't have even suggested it could be #2, when he heard basketball I may as well said badminton. Actually, worse than that.
I think it would've been better had I mentioned competitive pokemon

Of course, college football has WAYYY bigger ratings than basketball. Nc duke is just an exception having not only more views than the ncaa championship game, but double.

True. Unless I'm mistaken, seems like Army vs Navy always happens the week AFTER conference championships, and it's just about the ONLY game on TV that day.

Notre Dame and Georgia Tech used to be somewhat of a rivalry since back in the 50's (maybe even the 30's when Rockne was alive) when they both often contended for the National Title.

Yeah Army v. Navy has always been a huge one and a classic one. If you were to google it, I'm pretty sure it would say OSU Michigan then Army Navy for college football if I were to guess. Other than the olympics, in soccer there is some mixture of spain, barcelona, and brazil. I think two of those have a big rivalry. And there's Canada and Russia in hockey. Celtics v. Lakers when Larry Bird v. Magic Johnson was a thing. Chicago bears vs... I forget.

Alabama v. Clemson has been slowly turning into a thing, we'll see if that continues. I hope not

Ohio State bailed out of their 2021-22 home home games with Georgia. Just like they bailed on UNC in 15-16.

Ah. Yeah I remember that back when Aaron Murray was still QB'ing at Georgia and at the time I kinda thought, "Good, we might lose to them anyway." (which is probably why THEY didn't wanna play Georgia, they thought THEY'D lose to US) But these days, pfft, I'd take Ohio State against Georgia, sure.

I'm not sure about Ohio State. The two most popular opinions are that they're #1, and they're terribly overrated. I think neither, and I'll probably still be uncertain even if they beat Wisconsin because I'm unsure about them too. Everyone thinks them beating Wisconsin will affirm that they're number 1, I think they should be ranked less and a good win over wisco should earn them their CURRENT ranking.

I can see where you're coming from though. Probably because Georgia hasn't been able to play well all 4 quarters yet among other things. Idk though, sill may be enough to take blowhio state.

Like focalor said SC always plays tough against GA. Excuse the typical 'that loss was probably good for them, they needed it' post, but I'd lean on them benefiting from it. They've been winning games just from simply being the better team and nothing too special. Better it happened now rather than at the end of the season.

Holy shit are Ohio State fans LOVING the Georgia loss. Their fans are the worst lmao. Ohio State wants no part of SC or anyone remotely solid for that matter. Big fan of their AD having the team's best interests in mind with cancelling out of conference games with everyone. Their hands are full as it is losing to Purdue, unranked Iowa, VA tech, etc.

Doesn't matter how shitty South Carolina is doing in any particular year, if Georgia is ranked inside the top 10, they play that one game like it's the last game they'll ever play just to shit on Georgias hopes for an undefeated season, and then they immediately go back to sucking donkey balls the next week, which makes it even worse.

Although I can't blame South Carolina as much for it this year. They really didn't play all that terrific, it's just that Georgia played the whole game extra shitty. Their defense played pretty good for the whole game, but their offense played like SHIT. Lazy routes, STOPPING at the end of the route and standing there like idiots rather than continuing to move and possibly coming open, bad run blocking, and most importantly, some of the worst passing Fromm has done all season... fuck that, all CAREER.

As for Ohio State... it's fucking ridiculous that Justin Fields is in the Heisman running at all. If he really was worth a shit, he'd be the starting QB at Georgia right now, ....and unless you live in a self-imposed safe-space bubble of Ohio State's greatness, that fact is apparent.

At least sports media is being easier on Georgia than they were Clemson for almost losing. I think I said a few weeks ago that I thought NC and SC were the best 2-3 teams. Now I can use the logic NC > SC > GA > ND > ... Notre Dame ruins it, there's no one to put. But yeah no one wants to play Georgia, especially now I'd THINK. They have more 5 star players than anyone with a lot of potential.

I noticed mizzou has quietly attained a 5-1 record, but they're banned from post season play this year.

OSU Wisconsin will be interesting. The best outcome would be that Wisconsin dominates them. The worst outcome would be that neither team shows up and Ohio State barely wins. Then everyone acts like it was a matchup of the ages and OSU is just THAT good. If Wisconsin plays well and OSU finds a way then power to them. I feel that Wisconsin is a deserving team this year though and I just don't wanna see OSU get lucky.

NC plays VA tech next. So far, nc's wins have been getting better and their losses not as bad. App and wake are ranked 23 and 28, Clemson 3, and Miami and SC both just beat a ranked team. I haven't seen NC in a bowl game in 3 years haha. They're 3-3 and have an fcs still on the schedule. VA tech, Virginia, duke, Mercer, Pitt, NC State. Mercer is the only given win. They *should* be able to win at least 2 out of those 5. 3 is probably expected, but we'll see.
