Georgia and Florida are intense division rivals, and I NEVER root for them, but... I'm soooooo hoping that they derail Alabama in the SEC Championship. They'd probably be termed as underdogs with a predicted spread of 14 points at the very very least by the end of the 4th, but I still hope they can pull it off. That would completely crush Nick Saban and ruin his entire Christmas. GO GATORS!

I used to like Alabama. But that's just how I am. When one school starts winning way too much ALL THE TIME, it pisses me off. College football ain't like it used to be. The talent used to be spread out all across the country. But these days, all the best football players out of high school mostly seem to be coming from the south-eastern region. And the more Alabama wins and continues to consistently contend for titles year after year, the more sway it gives Alabama when it comes time for recruiting and all the schools come knocking on these kids front doors shopping scholarships and asking for a commitment. It becomes more unfair to the other schools that want to try to put together a stellar team. At that point, really the only big thing they can bring to the table is if they're lucky enough to be a school closest to the student athletes home and family.

NC's record is identical or better to Oklahoma, FSU, northwestern, ucla, etc.... This committee is WAY worse than the bcs or AP, and that's saying something.

There are currently 6 undefeated teams in the rankings.  At least two of those teams are going to lose because they play other undefeated teams before the end of the season Ohio st/Iowa & Baylor/Okla St.  The max would be 4 undefeated teams at the end of the season.  If Houston goes undefeated, it don't matter because they are not getting in the playoffs.  It is no guarantee that we will have any undefeated teams at the end of the season, since they all will face teams that have a legitimate chance of knocking them off.  If the top four win out, no one will jump them.  If that happens, the Big 12 conference could have a undefeated team that is not in the playoffs.

BTW - Notre Dame is a privileged, sucked up to, POS team.  Part of me wants to see them get steamrolled in the playoffs, but they really don't deserve to be there.

I'll be routing for Oregon over Stanford and then Stanford over notre dame in the next 2 weeks. It would be the only situation that gives unc hope. A one loss ACC team that beat Clemson should be chosen over a 2 loss notre dame no matter how biased they are, as well as a 2 loss pac team. The fact the big 10 is getting the same treatment as the sec is what pisses me off, and the sec treatment is bad enough as it is.

Wish he would've went into the ACC a bit, but then again Florida state gets their ass kissed too so that's probably why. If the ACC is so friggin terrible and the sec is so great, then why is an nc loss to sc WAY worse than a 2 loss fsu team to ga tech that hasn't beaten ANYONE in the ACC.

Yep. That is precisely the problem. The other day I saw the projected top 4 for the playoffs, which consisted of:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame

...when anyone with eyeballs attached to a functioning brain knows that Stanford belongs in that 4th spot way more than Notre Dame.

Yup, the pac is out of it now with both stanford and utah with 2 losses so I hope they bring notre dame down with them. It was cool that Oklahoma had that loss to texas, but now that Baylor and TCU both have a loss to a decent teams I bet the committee will have their justification to start kissing Oklahoma's ass again. After all, Oklahoma losing to texas just doesn't matter TOO much. I mean, Texas gets it's ass kissed too they just happen to be really friggin' bad this year. Neither does Ohio state losing to va tech really. But Baylor losing to Oklahoma and TCU losing to Oklahoma state? You might as well hang yourself. It's not like your Alabama losing to Ole Miss or Notre dame losing to clemson which will let you remain in the top 4.....

I just hope the big 12 and big 10 both implode and all have 2 losses like pac haha. NC's long shot to the play-offs getsy  slightly more probable every week.

All of the teams currently ahead of them in the AP & Coaches Polls have to play each other, except Notre Dame, they only play Stanford.

There are only 5 undefeated teams Clemson, Ohio St., Okla St., Iowa, and Houston (forget Houston)
Ohio St. & Iowa will play if they both win out, they might play even if they have a loss before the Big 10 Championship.
The best the Big 10 can do is have 1 undefeated team, but with the games still to be played, they may all have a loss.

Okla. St. still has games with Baylor & Oklahoma so they could have a loss before the playoffs.

If UNC beats Clemson in the ACC Championship, I would have to give them the nod over Notre Dame who lost to Clemson, but Notre Dame always gets more than they deserve so you never know.

A 1 loss Alabama will most likely get in and I really doubt FLA will give them much trouble in the SEC Championship.

My 4 predictions in no certain order.
1 - Clemson\UNC winner
2 - Ohio St\Mich St\Mich versus Iowa winner
3 - Alabama
4 - Oklahoma\Oklahoma St. winner

I hope Notre Dame does not win out and get put in the top 4,  their best game for getting ranked where they are is a loss to Clemson.  Notre Dame does not have any wins against top 25 teams except a win against Navy #19 and that games was played @ND.
