Ah yes I heard about this movie when watching fx's 100 scariest moments in movie history (maybe it was Bravo and not fx..either way) this movie had a spot in there and seemed to be quite a wierd one

I saw Transporter 3 about a week ago. Its garbage. Why was that gothic nympho bitch even in the damn movie? The fight scenes even sucked, very poor cinematography imo

I watched it last night. I thought it was fucking great. Keanu played an excellent Klaatu. I was a big fan of the original film so was a bit disappointed the immortal words 'Gort! Klaatu verada niktu!' were not used.

The alien spaceships were superb. The effects mind-blowing. The Gort robot was everything I expected it to be, awesome! I was bemused to see John Cleese's bit part as well

It was all couched in a 'save the environment' kind of style as opposed to a 'your race is too violent and a danger to other planets' motif but I could live with that. After all this is the 21st century.

9/10 - I'd recommend it a lot.

I saw The DAy the Earth Stood Still yesterday. 8/10. I felt there was a little more explaining that could be done (don't want to post any spoilers), but I enjoyed it. Only thing that detracted me from the film were some scenes screamed "MATRIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!" to me. But besides that, I enjoyed it.

The Departed - 9.5/10
Had this DVD still in the wrapper for like... what... 2 years now? Finally got around to watching it last night. A bunch of decent actors in this one. Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, a few others. Directed by Martin Scorsese, so of course it has liberal amounts of on-a-dime killing, plot twisting, and gritty foul language, along with just a dash of his trademark ironic and sick brand of dark and sadistic humor in one or two scenes. I'll go ahead and give away the ending since it's not really that new, plus you can probably guess since it's a Scorsese film after all... pretty much EVERYONE dies by the end of it. Not really a particularly uplifting movie, but definitely a good mobster type of movie that keeps you glued to the screen.

The Basketball Diaries - 9.5/10
I kinda hated Leonardo DiCaprio after Titanic, but the more of his movies I see, the more I realize what a truly talented actor he really is. He plays the part in this movie so perfectly believable. A true account of heroin addiction. A damn good movie in my opinion.

Witless Protection - 1/10
Awful. That's about 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. If Larry The Cable Guy didn't quite disappoint you enough in his Health Inspector movie... this one should definitely do the trick.

The Dark Knight - 4.5/10
Pretty bad, but I suppose it could have been worse. The only decent character in the movie was Heath Ledger as the Joker. No shit. Christian Bale sucks. The ending was ridiculous and almost preachy. "Aw, you failed Joker, the people of Gotham city are not as ugly and evil as you." Fuckin' please, if that got any more touchy-feely I'd have to file charges against it for sexual harassment.

I agree there. He's a good actor, all the girly swooning & riots for him in titanic ruined that movie for me. It's not a bad movie but people just went nuts!
