Taken 2 with Liam Neeson. Revenge plot based on the Albanians that Liam's character murdered in the first movie. That plot seems sort of boring but it sorta has some basis in reality, since I remember hearing that Albania is one of the few countries left in the world where blood feuds are still practiced. Maybe they don't anymore now or something. Anyway, I guess I give the film a 6/10. The action scenes were okay but they weren't as impressive like in the first movie.

Dude was in Schindler's List. I guess to some people, that movie is beyond criticism due to the subject matter. If you hate the movie, you must be an anti-semitic asshole, right? The movie itself was okay. But Liam Neeson being IN it? I guess he did okay. He was somewhat believable. And I think most people these days probably consider him to be some wonderful magnificent actor. I disagree. He's pretty shitty actually. He has little to no range at all. Let's not forget this is the same guy that was in the Darkman movies, and those were pretty awful largely due to the fact that Liam Neeson was in them. And this is coming from someone with a peppered appreciation for total cheese cinema like some of those awful Troma movies, Jim Wynorski B-movies like Dinosaur Island and Sorority House Massacre 2, and the old 70's revenge and sexploitation movies like I Spit On Your Grave and Maid In Sweden.

I like "bad" movies, and I say Liam Neeson movies are typically too bad to watch. That's pretty bad.

Dead Man (1995) - 10/10

Quite possibly one of the best movies you've never seen or heard of before. Been quite a while since the last time I saw it. One of my all-time favorite movies. For a movie that an awful lot of people have never heard of, it's got a pretty decent cast of well known actors. Johnny Depp plays the main character, also has Robert Mitchum, John Hurt, Lance Henrickson, Michael Wincott, Iggy Pop, Billy Bob Thornton, Crispin Glover, Gabriel Byrne, Alfred Molina, a few others. Basically a western, probably set in the late 1800's. About a man who travels all the way from the east coast to the west coast by train to take a job as an accountant. He shows up and the job is no longer available, and he's already spent all his money just to get there. Uhhh...stuff happens,... he meets a Native American guy, they hang out,... more shit happens... Don't wanna go much more into detail than that in case you haven't seen it yet and want to do so. It's a bit of an "artsy" kinda film, some deep meaningful imagery and symbolism throughout, and all that shit, yada yada yada. It's shot entirely in black and white, which normally I'd find to be entirely pretentious and stupid, but it actually takes nothing away from the movie and helps to give it an overall older feel. Definitely not a traditional western though. Absolutely NOT. It's different, and in a good way in my opinion. SEE THIS MOVIE, stupid white man! You will enjoy it.

Uh, yeah, I'll be waaaaay too busy picking lint outta my bellybutton to have time for that one.

Ordered this last week, just got it today.

All 7 seasons of the old HBO series Tales From The Crypt for 99 bucks. 99 total episodes, so it works out to $1 per episode. Used to watch this show every now and then when I was a kid. I've seen just about every damn horror movie under the sun and wanted something cool to watch all October long to get me in the Halloween spirit.

probably one of the best movies ive seen from the past 5 or so years. easily the best and most accurate portrayal of 2000's culture i've ever seen in any media. worth every minute of it's 3 hours

RAMPAGE: Capital Punishment

There may be flaws in the movie but it was AWESOME!>
Its about someone who went on a killing spree to vent out his frustrations and anger about social issues, like gun control, social welfare, etc etc.
Warning: Lots of violence

Very BOLD and thought provoking.

Neighbors - rated R

I won't even bother rating it. It really depends on who you are as to how much you'll like this movie. I personally would give it about a 6 out of 10. It's a comedy, and it has plenty of funny parts in it, but overall, I thought it was pretty stupid. By the end of it I felt as though the whole idea of the movie was hashed out by Seth Rogan as an excuse to hang out with Zac Efron for a few months and get high as shit. Maybe I'm just getting too old now, but these college party movies like this just don't really do anything for me anymore.

But it's really not THAT. What I found to be the most disappointing about the movie was the unimaginative way in which it ended. The whole main plot of the movie wasn't terrible, but it's like he had a good idea starting the movie and then just came up blank in a dope induced fog when finishing it... or maybe he ran outta time writing the ending and just threw it together... I dunno. But it was pretty weird how it ended. Basically the whole thing is a bunch of infantile improvised stoner jokes, like a less funny version of Workaholics.

So yeah, it's funny I guess, if you're a total stoner party nutter still in your 20's then you'll probably love it.

Rampage sounds interesting. I love enormously violent movies, so I'll probably check it out. Always liked that old Michael Douglas movie Falling Down, and it sounds kinda like that.

Edge of Tomorrow

I think it's obvious to quite a lot of people that Tom Cruise is a loony weirdo. But for some reason I keep watching his movies. And as easy it is to dislike him, I can't help but like his last few movies. Jack Reacher, I thought was pretty good. Oblivion too. Same with Edge of Tomorrow. Good as hell, actually. The whole plot of it is pretty far "out there", but it works and it's entertaining. Would certainly recommend it.

I'd read the Rolling Stone article a few years back by the same interviewer, but hadn't realized the extent of Baker's jazz drumming roots.

The film begins with Baker striking a vicious blow to his interviewer's face with the metal handle of his cane.

I'd assumed this would be super cheesy, but it wasn't all that bad (considering.)
