After Atlanta's lose at GB lastnight they are tied with the Saints for the division lead at 5-8.
The NFC South will have a division winner with a losing record unless Atlanta or New Orleans wins out.

Yeah, as I suspected would happen after that "display" (aka fight) Sunday against Carolina, Sean Peyton basically ran through the locker room cussing and screaming at everyone to either get their shit straightened out or get the fuck out. And it pisses me the fuck off to see the local news sports coverage doing interviews with Falcons players and hearing them express their hopes of making it to the post season. It's fucking pathetic. They almost sound proud to be in the position they're in. When ANYONE from the NFC south makes it to the playoffs this year, it won't be because they earned it. It'll be because they sucked only a smidgeon less than the other 3 in the division.

Lucky bastards, LSU. I wanted Georgia to have Notre Dame in a bowl. Nah, instead, we get fuckin' Louisville. Nobody wants to fuckin' see that shit!

Georgia Tech vs Mississippi State. Damn. Really? Well, they did beat Georgia, and they came close to beating Florida State in the ACC Championship.

Arkansas vs Texas should be interesting. Same for Arizona State vs Duke. Lots of interesting pairings this year. Should be some good watchin'.

Don't forget TCU vs Ole Miss.  I've only seen TCU a little, but I keep hearing they have a great offense.  Ole Miss had a great defense early, and if they field 75% of that on game day I think they win. Usually, defense gets you there, even against really good offensive teams. UM: 24  TCU: 13

So, Focalor; are you as excited as I am to see the Toilet Bowl tomorrow?    In a morbid kind of way I want to see it! If I am right, ATL has a 4-0 division record, the Aints have a 2-2. Sooooo IF the football players and not the cheerleaders are playing for N.O. and they win that game plus later beating Tampa would......no. Too late...too many if's. I think the NFC South Champions could have a 6-10 record or a 6-9-1 win record with a tie for Carolina and host a playoff game.

Yeah, I don't EVER remember one individual division being this shitty in the history of the NFL. It would be interesting to see who holds the 1st prize blue ribbon for it and if the NFC South comes close to claiming it this year. I'm posting from the Wii at the moment, so I can't look it up. But I "think" everyone is below 400 (fugget about even-steven 500, pffft) at this point. Sad sad shit.

If New Orleans can beat Atlanta at home and Tampa on the road they have the divison locked up with a 8-8 record 
If they can't, they do not deserve it anyway.

If Atlanta beats New Orleans they will both be 6-9 and Carolina who plays Cleveland in Carolina will be 5-8-1 going into that game.
If Johnny Football  plays like he did last game, Carolina will be leading the divison at 6-8-1 
Carolina still has to play Atlanta on the road on the final week, so this is far from decided.

New Orleans definitely has it in their hands, if they can play a couple of quality games.

It's crazy enough to think that an NFC south team could gain entrance to the playoffs with a 6-10 record. But... what if... and this is a HUGE what if... but what if the NFC South team actually experienced a real life hand of God miracle and they won a Wild Card game... and then a Divisional game... and then a Conference Championship... and then the fucking Superbowl. I know it'll never happen and the odds of it are probably something like 800,000,000 to 1. But if by some insane stroke of luck it did happen,... it might be the first time in NFL history that a Superbowl Champ was sub-500 for the entire season + postseason. How insanely ludicrously crazy would that be?

The winner of the NFC South will be either 7-8-1 Carolina or 7-9 Atlanta, it depends on who wins next week's game between Atlanta & Carolina.

If by some miracle the NFC South winner actually won the SuperBowl they would finish with a winning record.

It would still be history if a team with a losing regular season record won the SB.

Atlanta won? LOL! I only watched about 8 seconds total of it as I was walking past the TV in the living room, which was just long enough both times I walked past it to see a Falcon defender COMPLETELY MISSING a tackle he was diving at, and then watching a Falcon corner play the worst example of man coverage against an out-and-up route that you could ever hope to see. Said to myself, "Yep, and that's why I ain't watchin' this bullshit." If the Saints lost to THAT... God damn. Sean Peyton's gotta be ready to put a gun in his mouth by now.

Tech beat UGA, and they did it at the end of the season when UGA was getting better about defense and the passing game had finally improved. They finally made a believer outta me. They're for real this year. Mississippi State better be on their shit, this one ain't a freebie.

In general, you're right. But I think this match up might be a bit more straightforward than v Georgia. I think if GA tech sets the pace of the game, they win with a decent amount of points outscoring msu 2:1 potentially. If they don't, then it could go either way but I'd give the edge to msu. But who knows, it's college. I bet the team who puts the most effort in will undoubtedly win, which shows how close of a call it is.

UNC's narrow 48-43 win over GA tech was definitely their best win of the season. Beating duke 45-20 was semi decent. Plenty of bad losses though. They play Rutgers Friday who I assume they shouldn't have a problem with......i hope.

The best part of the video is after 1 minute in, when the BYU guy throws a cheap shot from behind a Memphis player.  The BYU guy had already had his eye dotted and was looking for some revenge on anyone.  He is #12 so he is probably a backup QB, so most of the players on the field could probably take him
