How bout them Cowboys?

They actually had a gg last night against the Saints, and even though I don't follow sports much, it's always a sign that they could be Superbowl class if they'd get it together every game (like last night).

Well as I think Adren might've been alluding to, maybe it's unwise to judge the Dallas Cowboys capabilities based on how thoroughly they might've throttled the Saints. Like I've been saying all along, Atlanta and New Orleans are in the same situation, sitting in exact matching canoes right now... and the canoes are floating down the middle of Shit's Creek... and ain't nobody got a fuckin' paddle. Saints have a modern-day elite like Drew Brees at QB, a really decent wideout in Marques Colston, and probably the best receiving TE in football currently with Jimmy Graham. Atlanta has a really decent QB in Matt Ryan, two of the best receivers in football with Roddy White and Julio Jones. But both teams have AWFUL defense. TERRIBLE! HORRIBLE! THE WORST! And on top of that, while both teams have really good QB's, it's only the QB's job to "throw" the ball, they have nothing to do with catching it. And the guys who's job it IS to catch the ball... they ain't doing their jobs very well this year. And on top of that again, both teams are riddled with injuries up and down the roster.

So if anyone beats either one of these teams this year, they should not make the grave mistake of overestimating themselves. A so-so team is gonna have a great day against them. But they'll find that another so-so team is not gonna give them the same humongous holes in passing coverage. Another so-so team is not gonna miss the same number of tackles and allow so many yards after catch. You play a team as horrible at tackling as Atlanta or New Orleans and nearly every completed pass play gets you 20 yards because they pass it 8 yards, slip a tackle, and run for an extra 12 before 2 other guys get there and bring them down finally. Couple that with the fact that their offenses can't sustain drives because their run game stinks and their receivers seemingly have bacon grease on their gloves and couldn't catch the clap even if they fucked every last whore in a vietnamese whorehouse.

So I fell asleep early at 9:15pm and slept like a baby, woke up an hour ago.

Then, 20 minutes ago I say to myself, I wonder who won, chiefs or pats? I say to myself, most likely the pats, I shouldn't have followed my gut with KC @ home. I didn't feel good about yesterday, if any of y'all noticed most of the teams I called friggin' lost. Now I'm up even more than I was now :bananaw00t:

Bet $ 50.00 to win $ 174.32 (paid $ 224.32) Result: Wager Won
New England Patriots 14 vs Kansas City Chiefs 41 09/29/14 20:35 EDT Over 46.5 (-110)
New England Patriots 14 vs Kansas City Chiefs 41 09/29/14 20:35 EDT Kansas City Chiefs +135

Some GG's this weekend. Tomorrow we have Arizona v Oregon, conference AAS rivals Houston and ucf(although ever since ECU stepped it up, they're the best in that conference), and fau v fiu.

UCF was looking really good last year, but not currently plus they lost some people. I'll probably go with Houston.

I wonder what the odds will be for Stanford Notre dame. ..

^biggest win I've ever had(previous post).  Too freaking good, screw those Mormons. Sorry I bet against BYU Foc, but I knew they'd get knocked off their imaginary high horse sooner than later.

Y'all don't even wanna know the odds I got for Fresno and Utah state both winning lol

Well the whole reason I said never to bet against BYU is because at the beginning of the season, the odds were something like near 50% or better that both BYU and Ohio State would go 12-0 in the regular season, which is pretty unheard of for TWO teams to get odds that good before week 1 even starts. And of course Ohio State ended up losing to VT. And then Brigham Young ends up losing to Utah State of all teams. VT and Utah State, on paper, had NO BUSINESS beating these teams... but it happened. :WTF: And with everything else that has happened in this positively crazy weekend of college football, it shows you something: what's been true in the pro's for a while is now becoming the truth in college - "any given Saturday". Nobody's guaranteed ANY win, you have to earn every single one of them, everyone is vulnerable, and no one is impervious. And I'm liking it!  It was looking like either Alabama or Texas A&M were shoe-in's for the SEC West title. Hell no. Not anymore. (and remember what I said about Miss St. not long ago? uh huh, they ain't pushovers)  Shit just got interesting. Just like I was thinking that the SEC East would come down to either Missouri or South Carolina. Hell no. Not anymore. Missouri has issues. And South Carolina is sinking deeper and deeper after losing a heartbreaker to Kentucky.

I actually showed up for the Vanderbilt at Georgia game. Drank my ass off, spent over 100 bucks on beer alone. Was drinking 4 beers at a time. :D And I was dumbfounded to see not only Scott-Wesley back as a WR for Georgia, but Malcolm Mitchell too! WHAT!?! This dude went through some pretty major surgery just before week 1 of the season kicked off, and no one expected him to be back before the last 2 games of the regular season, if AT ALL. And this adds a whole new dimension for Georgia and breathes new life into them. They've been smart enough to figure out that it would benefit them to try swapping out QB's on different drives, as well as RB's, and now they can do it with WR's too. Opponents have a much harder time figuring out how to prepare for them and how to stop them on game day. The defense hasn't really gotten any better, but the revived and more complete offense appears to be helping out the defense by taking more pressure off them. And the first time this Saturday, I actually "started" to see the defense playing a little better, at least during the first couple of drives in the 1st quarter. It ain't much, but it's something. Up until this weekend, I thought Georgia was fucking doomed after losing to South Carolina. It's become clear now that not only do they have a shot at winning the SEC East, they might even have a shot at winning the SEC Championship which would all but guarantee the winner of that game a spot in the playoff bracket. Which is fucking NUTS! Georgia with this dingleberry Hutson Mason as QB having a chance at the playoffs? I say naw, but the possibility is clearly there.

And not only that... but Georgia Tech is still undefeated! What!?! It's looking like they actually have some pretty decent defense for the first time in a while. That's the only thing that can explain it. Because the offensive scheme and effectiveness hasn't changed all that much. They run the ball mostly, pass every once in a while, and obviously have more success running than passing. But it's nothing particularly flashy. It's entirely possible that Georgia Tech could make it to 11-0 once the yearly in-state rivalry weekend comes and they gotta face Georgia. And once there, it's also entirely possible that their defense would be good enough to limit Georgia's scoring to allow Georgia Tech's offense to outplay them. And since Georgia's D is so awful,... it could happen. Georgia Tech? 12-0? How fucking nuts would that be?

11 of the AP top 25 lost this week, 5 of them being from the top 10.

UCLA somehow snuck into the top 10 without me even noticing. :D

But... god damn. It's been a long time since I've seen a top25 shakeup this bad. God only knows what the rankings are gonna look like on Monday.

Same thing happening to sec and pac as to the acc in the past 2-3 weeks. Only, when acc teams lose in-conference, it means they suck ass(despite wins over Ohio state, usc, etc.) and will be dropped off the rankings. Excluding UNC though, they can't do shit but make me money by betting against them. Thanks Larry

As far as "power" or "weight" goes, I was saying earlier in the season that I saw the SEC slipping off the top of the heap, but after this weekend, nothing could be farther from the truth. Particularly the SEC West looks to be the best of the best, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if somehow Auburn jumped to the #1 spot. Mississippi State or Mississippi could make top 3 as well. And TCU, way down at the bottom at 25 could blow past tons of folks too. Things are starting to get competitive in the SEC East as well. Next week Georgia goes to Missouri to settle who will clearly lead the East, while Florida takes on LSU at home, which is pretty much a MUST WIN for them if they stay in the running for the East. And week after that, Missouri then comes to Florida, while Georgia goes to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks. Week after that, Georgia is back at home to take on Florida whilst Missouri has to take on Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and then Arkansas. Missouri's early schedule has been a bunch of non-conference shitties, so they haven't really shown that they are meant for the top spot in the East yet. Beating South Carolina by 1 point last week doesn't exactly prove they have it what it takes, especially when they lost the previous game to fuckin' Indiana of all people. :ohlord: So the East is gonna be interesting to watch, maybe moreso than the West at this point. South Carolina could conceivably find themselves back in the race after dropping out of the rankings last week and then still losing an in-conference game this week. But Georgia at Missouri is gonna be the hinge point. If Georgia takes that one, Florida and South Carolina might both find themselves locked out of the race. And since it's getting played in Missouri, and since it seems like home-field advantage is a CLEAR advantage this year in the SEC, then Georgia's gonna have to play flawless and still get a little luck on their side. I don't see it happening. But... it's really fuckin' weird this year. It's anybody's game every game. So who knows.

ACC isn't out of the race for the National Title at this point though. Florida State may not be the #1 team in the country despite their rank, but they're still capable of surprising the hell out of someone and being #1 any given week. And if Georgia Tech's defense is for real, they could show strong against any top SEC team as well, especially seeing as how none of them are as top-to-bottom start-to-finish good as teams like Alabama have been in the past several years.

This is the first year that I can think of where we are half way through the season and I have no idea who the top teams are  :dohdohdoh:

I predicted FLA would lose to Tenn, and they would have if they would have stayed with Driskel (3 int's).  They brought in a freshmen who gave the team a spark.  It is way to early to say if he will make enough difference in FLA to make them competitive for the SEC east, I actually doubt he will.  The FLA coach may even go back to Driskel as the starter

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
