Troy @ Georgia...

All I can say is... HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Like I said, a sure thing and easy money. Although I was kinda rolling my eyes at the first drive Troy had when they actually made it to the redzone. That shows you how, like I've been saying, Georgia's defense is absolutely atrocious. If Georgia's D was even half as good as it was the previous 2 seasons (and it wasn't perfect then either), there's no way Troy would make it past the 50 at all today.

ps. although I didn't bet on this game, please VA tech beat GA tech. For the love of baby jesus, please do not enable GT to continue this "streak". :please:

Earlier this week when I saw Saturdays schedule of games, I said to myself, "Well, Georgia Tech's unbeaten streak is finally and rightfully so coming to an end this Saturday."

Was watching College Gameday earlier this morning going, "Yeah, Georgia Tech's gonna lose this one. VT beat Ohio State. There's no way Georgia Tech's gonna beat a team that beat Ohio State even on a fluke."

While watching Troy getting butt-raped by Georgia, I flipped over at halftime to check the score in the Georgia Tech game and wasn't quite so surprised to see Georgia Tech trailing but was a little surprised to see them keeping it close and relatively low scoring.

Then after Georgia succeeded at murdering Troy 66 to nothing, I flipped back over to the Georgia Tech game to see the Jackets trailing by 7. They end up tying it. But then VT gets the ball in the last 3 mins. I figure, "Yep, they'll drive and kick one in the waning seconds." INTERCEPTION!?! WTF!?! Georgia Tech wins!?! Fucking amazing the luck these guys are getting this year, haha! It's some crazy fucking bullshit, but... they could conceivably go undefeated all year. For the first time in 4 years, they finally have a hope in hell of defeating Georgia at the end of the season for the yearly rivalry game.

Good thing you didn't bet on this one. Dunno what the odds were, but I suspect it would've garnered a pretty nice payout to bet on GT.

I saw Georgia get a crazy early lead and start giving their true freshmen some time. I put GT VT on right when GT got lucky and was trying to get field position for a FG.

ECU's QB looks good, they are insanely deep @ WR/TE. We are deep with backs. So if UNC can keep it close by half-time, I'll be happy.

Also, I guess Georgia isn't keeping true freshman QB Brice Ramsey ineligible. They stuck him out there. Was kinda eye opening. He DEFINITELY has a much better release of the ball than Hutson Mason. He puts a good zip and speed on it with a nice tight spiral, which Mason fucking can't seem to learn how to do. However, like they've been saying, he's reeeeeeaaally fuckin green, probably too inexperienced to leave out there against better SEC opponents yet. He has good accuracy, places the ball relatively well. Some of his throws were in less-than-optimal places, but maybe that's inexperience and not inaccuracy, because on much longer passes he got it in there pretty dead on. But he doesn't seem to have the pocket awareness that Mason does. Shit like that can be really bad when QB is too busy looking at the wideouts and ends up getting clobbered by a defensive end, fumbles the ball, and probably gets hurt.

What they were doing today, I'd kinda like to see them attempt from now on. Trade out different QB's on possessions like they do with the runningbacks. They stuck Mason BACK IN later in the game after taking him out... which kinda leads me to believe that they were basically trying to get some tape to compare the 3 QB's. They NEVER EVER put a starting QB BACK INTO the game during a rape-fest... unless they have a good reason. Things that make ya go hmmmmmm. So Mason might be competing for a job now. I fuckin hope so.

Jeez, LSU lost. UNC lost. GA Tech won. What the ****. Good thing I made this bet:

4. BET#: 447995790
PARLAY (2 TEAMS) 09/20/14 15:14 EDT
Bet $ 20.00 to win $ 86.91 (paid $ 106.91) Result: Wager Won
North Carolina 41 vs East Carolina 70 09/20/14 15:40 EDT East Carolina -110
Rutgers 31 vs Navy 24 09/20/14 15:40 EDT Rutgers +180

Which saved my ass for all the bets I lost today(barely lost).  :raincloud:

Well FL State just survived without their starting QB, despite what a ridiculous game that was.

After this weekend, I don't think there's a single team that stands out above the rest. a&m needs to be tested more, FL State's the reigning champs, Oklahoma ain't what they're saying, and Bama's Bama.. that's about it.

Well if what you posted earlier is right, LSU was pretty heavily favored at -300, which I don't exactly agree with. Maybe LAST YEARS Mississippi State would be bad enough to warrant those odds or worse, but they're a much improved team this year that can put up a fight and nobody's gonna get a win against them without earning it. If I were setting the odds, from what I've seen out of MissST compared to LSU, I would've had MissST favored, not LSU. Dunno if your sports book is using odds matching or similar to Vegas, but if so, I think they fucked up in Vegas. Out of all the possible “upsets” today, that was the one most likely to happen.

And don't bet against BYU again this year, NOT EVER. They have little chance of finishing this year with a less than 12-0 record. Dunno if they'll become contenders for one of the 4 playoff spots if they do though. Word is they won't without some help. And God hates Mormons, so I doubt they'll get any. Apparently he likes Georgia Tech though. That's the only explanation I have for it, hehe. Dunno if Georgia Tech will go 12-0 though, even if they do manage to make it to 11-0 and have all the luck in the world. In the past 10 or 15 years, GT's only won 1 single in-state rivalry game against Georgia, and that win didn't even happen the year GT made it back to the Orange Bowl in 08, they lost to Georgia that year TOO! :D

Rutgers being the underdog vs Navy? That one makes a little more sense, especially since they call it more reasonable +100's. Odds being what they were I still would've picked Rutgers over Navy 10 times out of 10 knowing that even though they kinda suck, they still pass the ball, and I'll take that over an all-run offense like Navy plays all day everyday. History has kinda shown that a passing offense more often than not beats one of these all-run offenses, especially when it's a military school vs a non-military major conference (more or less) school like Rutgers.

Dunno what options you have or how they work the payouts exactly, but I assume they might average the odds together in parlay bets to determine the payout. So if you CAN, I'd suggest from now on grouping your bets with the most similar odds where you take the underdogs so you can maximize the payout. If you're gonna pick those teams anyway, might as well minimize the risk of them ruining other wagers on favorites while making the most money you can from them if they pull off the upsets.

It kinda depends though. One underdog may have a much better chance of winning than another. So grouping those two together in that instance would be pretty stupid. But if both are heavily heavily unfavored and you're just hoping lightning might strike, might as well toss the two likely losers together and hope you hit gold. Unfavoreds that are more likely to win though, those you'll wanna stick with some expected win without astronomical odds like Georgia vs Troy was, that is if you don't have any other upsets with similar odds.

As a general rule, I avoid any odds around +400 or worse like I would avoid a whore with a triple threat of herpes, tuberculosis, and leprosy. Unless I have a damn good reason to believe they can pull it off,... fuhgidabadit. And even with reason to believe it's possible, I go into it fully expecting to lose it and make arrangents somewhere else to cover the loss. Don't take this as mandatory bulletproof gospel or anything though. It depends on why and how you're playing. You're dropping 10 and 20 bucks here and there just playing for fun. You're not seriously risking hundreds trying to win substantial sums. If you lose every bet 2 or 3 weeks in a row, you're probably still gonna get all your bills paid on time. But still, playing for fun with small sums doesn't mean you can't do everything possible to always come out with a good profit every week. Even 10's and 20's can net you a really good pile of cash by the end of the season if you bet smart and win 80% of the time.

The FLA/ALA game went kinda like I thought it would.  If ALA did not turn the ball over so much it would have been something like 48-7, instead of 42-21.
FLA is still a lower tier SEC team.  Driskel played just like normal - 9 of 28 with 2 int's.  It is hard to believe he was considered the top QB prospect coming out of high school.  I was impressed with ALA's O-Line, the FLA pass rush was never a factor.  FLA has an above average run defense, but they can be easily beaten with the pass.  Vernon Hargraves is the only good cover guy they have, the other guys get beat constantly.

ECU putting up 70 on UNC was a surprise,  I know ECU is good but I did not expect that.

Missouri losing to Indiana  :WTF:

The SEC is not as strong top to bottom as it has been.  The SEC west teams look to be a lot stronger than the east.

It is to early teams are the real deal.

College football is way too random to even bet on, imo.. if it wasn't for the vegas odds differing from what's on paper frequently, then I'd never even do it. I knew LSU and Miss st would be close, i literally did that one in a rush to get it in before unc/ecu started. Since it was home for LSU, I picked them. There are a handful of games every weekend where they vegas odds varies GREATLY than what's on paper, just like the lsu miss st(even worse actually). As for virginia over byu, i'd make that bet again any day! (Via the vegas odds... it was what, 7/8:1 or something? Yet in actuality, VA might win 1 out of every 3 hypothetical games against byu........) I'll make that +400 bet all the time, although i usually put 10 or 15 into it opposed to my typical 20. Oh well, I'm still up a few hundred.

One thing I did differently though, I parlayed 3 games together for all my bets opposed to 2 like I usually do. The result was me getting 2 out of 3 right on most of them. This would've made a big difference if I would've just stuck to pairs. I at least won ONE 3 wager parlay though, which completely erased the 6 I lost hahaha. Anyway, it WAS actually beneficial to hear that outside perspective(makes me pay attention to the little voice in my head more hearing it from another), but I think my sudden urge to do 3's fucked me the most. If I didn't take risks, mostly calculated risks, it wouldn't be as fun.

Didn't watch any NFL today other than the tail end of the Broncos @ Seahawks game. I always hate seeing last years Superbowl Champs doing well, no matter who it is, but more than I hate any defending Superbowl champs, I hate the Broncos. I like Peyton Manning, but I hate the Broncos. Wish ANY other team would've gotten him besides Denver. So now because he's in Denver... I always gotta root against him. And it was so nice to see Denver making that impossible last minute drive to bring it to within 2 and then converting for the 2 to tie it also. What!?! That almost NEVER happens! They all try to pull off the miracle like that to tie it up before the clock hits 0's, but rarely does anyone ever actually succeed. And then to see them lose in overtime... it was just so satisfying.  SO CLOSE... YET SO FAR AWAY! :nana:

So I guess I missed this today too.

WHAT!?! No way! I don't say that because I'm amazed that the play worked (ya know... before another team member fucked shit up :ohlord:). I'm amazed that someone had the BALLS to use such a play. You normally only see this kind of hokey corny shit attempted in high school football. :D
