Saints dropping skill position players on offense like old girlfriends breh (and defense)..making moves signing Byrd...this offseason is going to bonkers for the Saints..

At least they dumped Harper and Will Smith. Why the heck they kept Harper back there for all these years makes me question how closely they watch game films. Nothing personal, but he looked like a Roman soldier playing in a hundred pound set of armor. Ran right by tackles like he was afraid to hit and got burned SOOOOOO many times trying to cover....3 years late releasing him in my book. Smith got a big contract and went on vacation years ago. I had hopes for Jenkins, but he never really made a difference....a wasted jersey. I have a friend that's a huge Bills fan and he says Byrd is the real deal. I sure hope so, we need it. If the Saints keep the pass happy, let's just out score the other team approach, they will remain in the so-so land of coulda, shoulda, woulda. Get a run block O-line and run the ball! If they can protect Brees, they will still have a decent pass game. The defense will be OK IF they get a little pressure. I like the fact they are finally making some changes to younger/other guys. The Super Bowl win and karma is long gone.

aaaaaand we just picked up Champ Bailey...dude had a pretty down year last season, if he has ANYTHING left in the tank...you'd have to consider him a definite upgrade over robinson (cb2-nickel)...Saints definitely have seen the light in that they need to have a defense to win..assuming the team stays healthy, I'm excited.

I hope I am wrong, but usually once someone starts that downward trend it continues.

Champ used to be a top cover corner and last year he struggled as a nickel back.

Whut???? Got to look into that. If age/injuries slowed him down recently, he could still be a huge asset. Experience and knowledge can make up for a step or two, plus he could coach the youngsters.

I ain't one to normally give a shit about women's rights and equality of the sexes, but I gotta admit, it's total bullshit how much they pay these cheerleaders. I don't honestly know WHY any of them do it. It's a living, but not a very decent one. And with all of the money these teams are raking in, even the been-shitty since been-shitty ones like Cleveland and Buffalo, surely some of these rich front-office assholes could take a small pay cut to be able to pay these bitches something more appropriate. They go through an awful lot of shit just to get the job, much less KEEP the job for consecutive years, and when they finally make the cut, they hand em a shiny prize of jack shit.

Either pay the bitches or get rid of them completely.

There is a rumor that Tampa Bay is looking to pick Manziel with the 7th pick if he is available.

I am not big on this.  Sure he is quick and elusive, but he threw a lot of balls up for grabs in college that he won't get away with in the pros.  His quickness will not be as good as it was in college, since everyone is on a higher level.  Can he hold up when he does take a big hit.

Man... This guy. You'd think after dodging sexual assault charges, he'd make more of a conscious effort to be a perfect little angel from now on. Either he's just a careless idiot or someone kinda set him up for this. And concerning his previous sexual assault stuff, either he DID do something and there just wasn't proper evidence to prove anything, or someone kinda set him up for that one too. Hard to know from the outside really. He's a high profile guy and plenty of people have plenty of reasons to shove him off his pedestal.

Saw something on the world news the other night with a statistic saying that 1 in 5 college females are victims of sexual assault at some point.  Dunno if I believe that one is entirely accurate. 20% of college females are raped? It stands to reason that if they can say that 20% of college females are getting raped, then it would make sense to also say that 20% of college males are doing the raping. So think about it like this: You're in a class with 50 other students. Look around. 10 guys have or are going to rape someone. Does that seem reasonable or possible? I went to college for a little while. I didn't have a ton of friends in college, just a few really. And the ones I did have were pretty god damn wild. But I can still say with relative certainty that NONE of them had ever or would ever rape or sexually assault a woman.

Rape does happen though, I'm not such a misogynist asshole that I'll claim it NEVER does, and it's awful that anyone has to go through something like that. But there's also a few screwy women out there who will drink and party hard, make dumb decisions while under the influence, and then they'll be unwilling to accept responsibility for the choices they make and try to blame it on someone else. Because admitting that they made a wrong or stupid decision is not something they're prepared to deal with. Anyone who's ever had an argument with a woman knows how women just looooooooove to admit that they're wrong, right?  Instead of saying, "I got drunk and fucked some guy I normally wouldn't even speak to and now I regret it.", it becomes, "He got me drunk and took advantage of me! IT'S RAPE!"

You would think he would have to be one of the top 6-8 QB's in the league to go to the Pro Bowl.

Yeah, he was pro-bowl twice. His rookie year in '06 and then again in 2010. He wasn't really one of the greatest QB's that year and only got to QB in the pro-bowl because the other guys ahead of him declined because they had playoff games I think and didn't wanna risk injury.

Of course Jadeveon Clowney goes 1st in the draft (to Houston). He's a bit of a gamble as far as I'm concerned though. But I guess it's a gamble worth taking if you need someone at that position, and lots of teams do lately. So even if he doesn't work out, they'll have plenty of people willing to trade for him.

I was pretty stumped by Jacksonville's choice at #3 though. Blake Bortles from UCF. Really? I mean... Really??? They're in desperate dire need of a decent QB with some confidence, and meanwhile Johnny Manziel and several other truly promising QB's were up for grabs, and... THIS is the guy they pick? Wow, I didn't know they let crackheads be general managers.

And speaking of Manziel, he goes to Cleveland. So... Manziel is fucking doomed with the ole Cleveland Curse.

My Falcons picked up Jake Matthews from Texas A&M at tackle. Not a bad choice. They definitely need a stronger o-line to keep Matt Ryan from getting decapitated like last year.

And Green Bay once again proves that they actually have some fucking sense when it comes to drafting and filling a roster by picking up HaHa Clinton-Dix from Bama.

I think Minnesota really had their hopes set on Manziel, but ended up getting Teddy Bridgewater from Louisville. So they can finally bench Christian Ponder.

Clowney is a physical freak.. Even if dude does wind up as a bust, Houston couldn't pass him up.
 
I'm sad Gordon Is getting suspended..the Browns would have been exciting to watch with JFF at the helm.

As for the saints..I like the pick of cooks.. 2nd round cb.. The rest are questionable at best.. Injury plagued players and another shitty bama safety..
