My Cleveland and Phillies picks came true. Seattle apparently beat Toronto, so that ones no good. SD and Mets are apparently playing the decider now, bottom of 1st no score.

San Diego beat the Mets.
I noticed on TV in the very first inning that the San Diego pitchers (Musgrove) ears looked like he had some kinda greasy oily substance all over them when they showed closeup shots of his head. It wasn't until the 6th inning that anyone bothered to check it.
They apparently found nothing... and he appeared to be somewhat upset that the Mets mentioned it, and even whined after the game about it that "if you're gonna accuse someone else of it, you better be sure no one on your team is doing it." which, if you'll notice... is NOT a denial.
Think back. Historically in this community, when duelers have been caught using some shit like walls or spikes, many times their excuse was "I'm not doing anything that others aren't already doing." or some variation of that sentiment.
I'm watching on the TV, it's the very first inning, and his ears and ONLY HIS EARS look shiny as hell like they are wet or greasy. The little 32 inch Samsung I was watching on is only like 720p, it's not a 4k or 8k like people have now. If I can see it on 720p, then surely everyone watching on 1080p, 4k and 8k TV's saw it too. As they say: Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

The one that I have to turn the channel on is the female announcer - Beth Mowins.
Her voice irritates me big time.

I can tolerate her. She's a good fit for the "who cares" kinda games, the Miami (Ohio) vs Akron kinda games, the Navy vs Temple kinda games. She's got the required "YARL" to be a college football playcaller. What's a "yarl"? It's that
thing
that makes you pronounce the words "college football" like "K'YAWL-IDGE F'YUHT-BOL".
Bob Costas, however, has had a tendency to inject his bullshit political opinions into his playcalling at times, which... is as completely lame and unwanted as it sounds.

Yeah. Like I figured, Braves weren't posting a too impressive amount of hits and runs per game leading up to the playoffs like they did last year.
I dunno about San Diego's ability to hit for runs, but they probably have the best pitching in the NL coming into October. The games I watched vs the Mets, they looked like they were outfoxing them pretty good with pitches that looked like fastballs coming in but would drop just enough that they'd swing over the top of it. Just over and over again. Seems like it's gonna come down to whether San Diego's pitching can outplay Philly's hitting.
My NL side predictions went kaput.
AL side had one wrong so far picking Toronto instead of Seattle, But my ALCS matchup could happen. God I hope so. I don't wanna see those awful racist Cleveland Culture-Appropriators in the world series.
Yankees and INDIANS play their last one tonight at 7. Great! I can watch that instead of monday night football. What is it about the NFL this year? All the Sunday and Monday night games have largely been awful boring-to-watch one-sided asskickings.

I agree, I don't wanna see those awful racist Cleveland Culture-Appropriators in the world series.
I really don't like the "I'll buy me a World Series" Yankees either.
I hope the Cleveland INDIANS, take out the Yankees, then loose to the proven cheaters the Astros.
I would like to see either the Padres or Philly beat the cheating Astros in the WS.

AGH! Houston just spit some Texas chaw all over the Yankees dreams.
Swept them 4 to 0 in the ALCS.
2022 World Series - Houston Astros vs Philadelphia Phillies
1st game is Friday night, 8pm eastern, Fox.
Just in case no one noticed... Houston was #1 seed in the AL (wild card bye). In the ALDS, they swept Seattle 3-0, in the ALCS they swept New York 4-0.
This thing could be over in 4 games. Now I'm starting to wonder how many other teams have ever gone through the post-season without a single loss.

I kinda wanted NY to feel the disappointment of losing the world series... but now that I think about it, perhaps getting 1 opponent away from it and then getting swept out in 4 is a little MORE disappointing for them, hehe.
