Man I miss those old build engine games. They looked like pure shit compared to shooter games today, but they always included a liberal dose of comedy. Remember playing Blood back in my teens. Always loved the way the hooded bad guys would scream in agony when you'd blast the shit out of them with a shotgun. Blood, Redneck Rampage, Shadow Warrior, Duke Nukem 3D... good shit.

Finally got around to installing DOSbox on this thing a while back and played all the way through Redneck Rampage 1 and the expansion pack, Redneck Rampage: Suckin' Grits on Route 66. This time WITH a copy of the optional "cuss pack" loaded up. The "cuss pack" was just a tiny add-on the makers offered as a $1 download that had F-words and such in it, stuff that was deemed a little too colorful for the stock retail version. Never did get around to playing through the Redneck Rampage sequel, Redneck Rampage Rides Again. Installed it, made DOSbox icons to quick start it, but never got around to playing it. Might have to do that pretty soon.

Wish I could find a full copy of Blood though. I dunno that I have a full version of it on CD, might have just been the shareware version that I had. (remember "shareware"? God, those were the good ole days) I'll have to dig through my old shit and see if I can find it. God only knows where the hell it'd be.

I got all of the Redneck Rampage series,Duke Nukem,Shadow Warrior and Blood,along with their add-on packs. And they have others too,like Rise of the Triad. And sales happen all the time too.

Yeah, just as I thought, I had the shareware version. Was thinking it was the full version cuz I remembered it had a copy of that Type O Negative music video hidden away in a folder on it. Never figured out why that was there. Maybe if you beat the game, it'd play that video or something, but I don't know that I ever beat it.

Ya know... I could pay the 10 bucks and download Blood 1 and 2 with all the expansion packs...

Hell no, I can't! 5.99? Pfft, they can kiss my irish ass. That's retarded for a 17 year old game nobody can run on machines anymore without special shit like DOSbox. If I'm gonna pay that much, I want a hard copy of a CD that I can HOLD IN MY HAND, complete with printed case inserts and manuals.
