Dunno if I'm gonna lay any money on that game. Of course I'd have to bet on Alabama if I did. (Nothing against LSU, just been a Tide fan since I was a wee little bastard.) Depends on the other games going on next weekend. Haven't looked at a full schedule of the games being played yet. I'd want enough other games I could put money on that would at least get me even or better by Sunday morning. So far, I haven't really been able to consistently earn as much as I did last year. I'll pick winners in the NCAA on Saturday and then lose it on my NFL picks on Sunday.

The Falcons are getting back to what made them successful last year, running the ball to setup the pass.

If they keep that mindset they have a good shot at making the playoffs.

Holy crap. Georgia Tech (now unranked) upsets undefeated #5 Clemson 31 to 17. Figures. After the Yellow Jackets lost to Virginia and then Miami, I was cussing the hell out of them. Then they come out tonight and prison shank the one team in the ACC I would've never thought they could beat.

Alabama/LSU game this weekend - who you got

I'm giving the edge to Alabama since they are at home. It should be a great game, I can't wait to see this game.

Surprising... GA tech having an edge on UNC, their was a sort of a style clash(GA tech heavily relying on their running game w/ an extreme lack of passing game, and vice versa with UNC).... so it was a weird/close game. I thought Clemson being more well-rounded was going to have it... UNC was hanging in with clemson similarly the first half but wow @ that 3rd quarter. It was like two different football teams came out on the field; unc making the most mistakes they've made in a quarter all season v. clemson relentlessly punishing, flawlessly. So anyway, I guess that's my little tidbit WITHOUT actually watching the game. I was surprised at the final result, wish I would have saw the game.

As for LSU v. Bama, it'll be a great game. It'll probably be something like, the team who makes 1 mistake is going to beat the team who made 2-3 mistakes. I'm going with LSU, but it's a hard call to make.

UNC v. NCSTATE, obvious rivalry due to being 30 mins from each other, duke practically in between the two, it looks like it'll be particularly heated from UNC's interim coach's comments:

O’Brien was painting with a broad brush there, but his points were basically valid. And while N.C. State’s player graduation rate isn’t where O’Brien wants it to be, his team is not the one that has been accused of nine major NCAA violations and that has been in turmoil for more than a year.

Withers was apparently referring to the fact that, according to data provided by the NCAA for the freshman class of 2004, UNC’s football team had a graduation success rate of 75 percent compared to 56 percent for N.C. State. UNC’s federal graduation rate, which doesn’t count transfers or players who left early, was at 58 percent compared to 50 percent for N.C. State.

I love UNC, but that was really dumb. I mean thanks for making us look bad lol. Anyway, the chancellor of UNC apologized to NCstate's, but NCstate having the most hostile and ignorant fans I've ever seen in my life, and this game being @ Raleigh(ncstate) then things will prob. be more heated in particular....Unfortunately I had to sell my tickets for this game (18 rows up, 45 yd line).....but, couldn't make it. Game time is at 12:30pm here in less than 3 hours if anyone wants to tune in.

No secret who I'm pulling for...

Not really concerned with UNC, they're ACC, they can't really hurt Georgia Tech's standing at this point. More concerned about the Arkansas and South Carolina game today. Georgia has managed to move back #18 after starting off the year at #12 I think, pretty impressive maneuver, but pretty lucky nonetheless considering they haven't been as effective in the pass game as they were last year with AJ Greene at wideout. It was kinda hard to tell just how big of a game changer Greene was last year with how effective they were at both passing and running, and they mixed up the play calling so much that it made it hard to keep track of WHO was carrying most of load and gaining the majority of those yards. Quite easy to see now that he's gone what a big boost he was to the offense.

UGA's playing New Mexico State today. Should be another win for the Dawgs. It had BETTER be another win considering the obscene amount I have wagered on it. If UGA and Alabama win today, I should have a lot of extra beer money come next week.

Rest of the season could quite possibly be nothing but more wins, which would probably boost their rank into the top 10 before the Bowl season. They play Auburn next week (probably a win), then Kentucky (probably another win), then they end the regular season with the yearly in-state rivalry game against Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech should be their only real challenge the rest of the year, but they've beat them the past several years even with Paul Johnson's triple option run and GT having Josh Nesbitt at QB, so they should be able to beat them yet again.
