I thought Green Bay would lose a game this season but not to KC

KC straight out handed GB ass to them, Rodgers usually don't get hit like that.

Injuries are beginning to mount for GB, top rec. and now the O-line is hurting.

It's pretty fitting that Drew Brees would be the one to do it. They have very similar styles of play. Both are/were some of the most accurate precision passers to EVER play the game. I definitely remember watching Marino play when I was kid. I'll never forget one of the last years he played watching him doing some kind of QB skills competetion before the ProBowl game. The man could finese a football through a hole just barely wider than the ball itself from 40 or 50 yards away. And it wasn't luck either, he attempted it maybe 10 times, and I think all 10 went clean through the hole without touching the side. Then they had him throwing at MOVING targets, and he still hit them perfectly every time. Like I said, without a doubt Dan Marino was one of the most talented quarterbacks to ever play the game. Unfortunately, if I recall correctly, I don't think Marino ever won a Superbowl. And whenever I see Brees play, he reminds me an awful lot of Marino. He can nail a dime flipping through the air with the nose of a football from 40 yards. He has an almost psychic ability to avoid defensive linemen as they swallow up a pocket. Kinda odd too, Brees was never really quite that good before he went to New Orleans. The Saints took a gamble bringing him aboard and hit the fucking jackpot, then had enough luck left over to bring in some good receivers for him to throw to as well.

Brees is stud to watch, I am feeling they will be bowl bound.

This time of the NFL season is always funny to me, when teams ‘in the hunt’ have these insane scenarios that need to play out for the team to make the playoffs. The Bengals are in that situation right now, where everyone is laying out all options. Like this team needs to lose and then this one tie, then a small goat needs to fart in a northern direction. What’s even better is when it actually happens and team gets to the play offs, by some weird schedule.

You folks in Cinicinatti should be pretty happy with the way the Bengals restructured this year. Shitcanning Chad ZilchoTalento and Terrell Owens was the best move possible. Then shitcanning that head coach. Then bringing AJ Greene aboard from Georgia. If you ask me, he was the best receiver coming through in the draft this year, not Julio Jones or anyone else. I watched AJ Greene for almost every game he played at UGA. That kid's one helluva damn good receiver, fast as a gazelle, agile and shifty as a motherfucker. Mark my words, he's only gonna get better in the next few years. I have little doubt he's a future hall of famer. Then getting rid of has-been Carson Palmer and getting Andy Dalton from TCU. Some really really good acquisitions this year. Good to see the Bengals GM finally making good decisions after basically falling asleep at the wheel for so long.

Green Bay....New Orleans...San Francisco (yea, I said it), are the most likely NFC champs. That does not mean NY G or Dallas

or Atlanta

could make a run and make it to the Super Bowl. As a Saint's fan, I have an un-EASY feeling about the playoffs this year. Offense can be almost unstoppable; defense can be soft and porous. Flip a coin.

I dunno about the Packers. They didn't look to me like they were going easy on the Chiefs. They looked like they had every intention of playing with the same intensity they've played with all year and just couldn't muster up the plays to pull it off.

Dunno about the Ravens either. Flaco's been pretty shitty this year, not as accurate as he was last year, not as aware in the pocket.

NFC games will probably end up being way more interesting than the SuperBowl itself. Hardly any AFC teams really worth putting big bucks on this year.

I'm out of town visiting my dad in NJ, but I'll be hitting up "metaL" tomorrow in DE.

No doubt we'll be going to some kind of bar(dogfish head brewery is walking distance...) and watching the unc v. mizzou independence bowl game, then the failclown saints game...

I've been taking it easy with betting since I'm on a 8-0 winning streak, lol. I want to keep it that way so I think I'll bet on the pats v bills game instead(opposed to either game above)...

who am I kidding, I'll probably be placing bets 10 mins before kick-off like most of them have

It looks like New England will be the number one seed in the AFC and Green Bay in the NFC.

I think Green Bay will get knocked off because of the injuries they have. I think SF or NO will take the NFC, I give NO the edge because they have been there before.

I think NE will win the AFC.

why i chose who i did..

packers = on a good run... home field advantage..rodgers has the best td/int ratio..opportunistic defense

ravens = possibly last ditch effort with an aging defense, i expect flacco to step up in the playoffs finally..(no clear cut AFC champ imo, also)

IMO:

the patriots worry me with their lack of defense(hard to be against Brady)

the saints worry me with their lack of defense AND lack of home field(notoriously bad outdoor team, Brees still #1)

the steelers just don't seem to have their stellar defense of old...and i personally don't trust mr. R burger to win games for them.

the niners have a decent shot, however i don't see them beating the packers or the saints with the lack of offense(their defense could score some points

also gore is an animal)

Sure, it's a little superstitious and downright unproven, but every year there's usually 2 teams (sometimes more) that have Lady Luck on their side. One team will miraculously win lots of games, look really tough, but then fall flat in the playoffs... Yeah, Atlanta last year, and probably Detroit this year. Then another team will miraculously win lots of games, look really tough, and probably go all the way through the playoffs... like Green Bay last year,... and possibly San Fransisco this year.

You never know, we could end up with another Harbaugh Bowl for the SuperBowl with the 49ers versus the Ravens like back at Thanksgiving. Hey, LSU and Alabama get a 2nd shot at each other this year. Superstitious coincidental shit like that ain't logical or rational, but you can't deny that it does happen from time to time.
