Yes, it is.

Saints @ Packers:  I was not surprised at the outcome. The Packers won the Super Bowl last year without some really good players on Injured Reserve.  They are young (2nd youngest team?) and very talented (offense and defense).  Rodgers is one of the best QB's in the league. But the silly Saints STILL had a chance to win what was a pretty lopsided game. PLEASE find a safety (other than Harper) that can cover on passes and make ALL the defense go through tackle drills at least a week! And come up with some 3rd and 1 plays with options!!!!!!  One might work.  One more thing..take the three points to make it a five point game when you have the opportunity.

A tip of the hat for G.B and a well deserved win.  :smiley_aatb:

We will meet again!!!!!!   G.B. cheesewhizers       :rocketleft:

I think Green Bay's not gonna do like most previous SuperBowl champs when they seem to get lazy in the followup year. They're gonna be just as tough this year, if not tougher. HOWEVER... I think there are going to be a lot more challenges from other teams this year as well, and because of that they might not find quite the same success. Not that their entire season last year was successful. If you remember, they seemed to slow down midseason last year when the injuries started happening and people started getting tired, and then worked up a second head of steam to finish strong enough to earn a wild card spot. There's gonna be whole lot of unknown factors with all these new players and redeveloped teams which should help to keep everything a little more exciting and unpredictable this year, at least until maybe week 7 or 8.

From what I saw out of the Falcons in preseason, I don't really expect them to do too well this year. Something tells me that they'll continue the preseason trend and always come up short on a lot of their games. Last year we had several games that went down to the wire and with a little help from pure luck, we scraped by with wins. But luck only lasts for so long, and I don't think luck is gonna be our side this time around. They better figure out some shit pretty quick if they want another chance at the post-season. I think the entire Atlanta team managing staff focused a little too much on trying to build up the offense in the draft season when clearly the offense was just fine and it was the DEFENSE they should've focused on. Still pisses me off that they allowed Brian Finneran and Michael Jenkins to leave. They did quite well last year. Meanwhile... they keep too many of the tackle-missing motherfuckers on defense from last year. Maybe if they would've played defense a little better, teams like Pittsburgh and Green Bay wouldn't have been able to outscore us last year.

I also think New Orleans is probably gonna mirror Atlanta in the aforementioned aspects. They're probably gonna play many close games, but keep coming up short. The defense just doesn't seem to be wrapping up their tackle attempts. Too many runners are only going down after the 2nd and 3rd defender get a swipe at them, and by then, the other teams already earned a fresh set of downs. Just sloppy.

This is probably the LAST time I'm gonna even consider putting money on UGA this year. You don't even wanna know how much I lost, it's fucking obscene.

Nope. Not if there was truth to the rumors. More than likely, it's gonna be another losing season for UGA. I'll probably go to next weeks game, they're playing Coastal Carolina. Surely they can win THAT game.

I don't have much hope for the Falcons this season either. They looked like utter shit in the preseason, and just like I thought they would, they played like shit today against Chicago. They couldn't muster up one single fucking touchdown. It was sad as shit to watch.

Detroit beat Tampa Bay today though 27-20. :ubershock:

I live in FL and the NFC game that was on was ATL & CHI  :grrrr:

I think Detroit is going to surprise people this year (If Stafford stays healthy).  Detroit has a good defense and has some real weapons on offense.
I think Detroit has a chance to win the div.

Tampa really did nothing to improve the team during the offseason while other teams stepped it up.  Tampa is a 8-8 team at best.

I live a block away from the Faclon training camp. People take their team seriously around here. Further south NFL was a joke and everything was about the Bull dogs. Only sport people liked better than college ball was highschool ball. Not as bad as I hear texas is, though.

Saw my steelers get stomped today. Actually I tuned out during the first quarter and back in in the 4th. Tuned out at last 4 when it was 35 to 7.  :lolsign:

so the NFC North is 3-0 against the NFC South opponents so far...... ouch.  Atlanta will be OK before it's over...just like the Saints they'll just be OK.   :help:  A 436-0 loss by the CowBoys tonight will make me feel a little better.

Tony Romo drawn and quartered. Jerry Jones broke, homeless, and eating from a garbage can while Bill Parcells drives past in a limo and tosses out a 7-11 Big Gulp cup full of yak piss all over him.

You are accurate in your assessment of the Saints and Falcons.  I still think we need you on one of those NFL shows with the "experts" to give them a real fan opinion (uncut?....naaa it would be bleep bleep bleep). heh

I'm still pissed at Arthur Blank and Thomas Dimitrov for letting Michael Jenkins, Brian Finneran and Jerious Norwood leave. Michael Jenkins... eh, whatever. That wasn't too much of a dumb move. He's getting old, and he wasn't improving or getting worse either way. But Brian Finneran looked like he was finally stepping up and breaking out. He made lots of really tough catches in tight spots last year that kept drives marching towards the red zone. And Jerious Norwood was MUCH better at halfback than Michael Turner. If they were gonna let an RB go, it should've been Turner. They did pretty good bringing in Jaquizz Rodgers from Oregon State, but like fucking retards, it seems like they're gonna be content to let his little fireplug ass keep the bench stuck in the ground the whole season. I know he's a tiny little guy, but he was still running right through people and making defenders miss like crazy when they had him out there during the later quarters of preseason games.

Fucking pisses me off. Last year we had a really good thing going, and for once we had something special to build on. And now, like always, they butcher the wrong parts of the team in off-season and shit all over any chances of repeating last years success.

Last year I was SOOOOO looking forward to having a big superbowl party at my house and being able to cheer on my home team for only 2nd time in the franchises history. Last time (and the FIRST and ONLY time) the Falcons made it to the superbowl was back when I was in high school in 98. They did terrific all year long. Then they get to the superbowl and fall flat on their asses. I will hate the Denver Broncos until the day I die for that shit. I could've gotten LAID at that superbowl party, but the chick I was hitting on was so depressed about the game that she went home before it was even over. FUCK YOU, JOHN ELWAY YOU GOD DAMN COCK BLOCKING GARY BUSEY LOOKING FATHERFUCKER!
