I have been surprised at some of the moves Atlanta has made. They look like the Saints before Mickey Loomis and Sean Peyton came along...poor talent judges and bonehead move makers. Surpised, but happy

The Saint's once took a punter/FG kicker as their first pick in the first round of the draft!!!!! He turned out to be a colossal failure.

It's unfortunate that you Philadelphians got saddled with Michael Vick, and I mean no offense to anyone who lives in Philadelphia or might be an Eagles fan, but I hope Michael Vick falls flat on his face this year. Not just because of dog thing, although that does play into it. We Dirty Bird fans still haven't forgotten what he did while he was playing for the Falcons. We bring him in with high hopes, pay him tons of money, he gets a minor injury, milks it for most of the season on the sidelines still collecting his huge paycheck, all the while making tons of money on the side from his endorsement deals and clothing lines,... and then he's also making even MORE money running an illegal high-dollar dogfighting ring with some of the most shady crooked characters in the Southeastern United States. He gets popped and lands in prison, meanwhile we're stuck with a few half-assed backup QB's like Joey Harrington and everyone is so god damned disgusted that no one can stand to watch the Falcons anymore whether they win or lose. Even with the terrific job that Matt Ryan's been doing the past few years, there's still quite a few people around here who refuse to be a Falcons fan anymore.

Fuck that guy. I was tickled pink when he got brutally sandwich-tackled last year in that game against Dallas or Indy, I forget exactly who it was. THAT was a real injury. "Go milk that shit for your less than a million paycheck, asshole!", I was saying to myself with a smile.

Lol I hear ya I couldn't stand him in Atlanta and I didn't want him in Philly either! He never tried to make his game better in Atlanta. He was a prima donna from what I saw of him there. I never worried about his arm when we played Atlanta, we just sealed the ends so he couldn't run around the D line into the open field. Now his arm is a weapon as well as his legs.

The Eagles picked him up and the most of us were pretty pissed off! But he did what he had to do and played really well. Still there are alot of Eagles fans that wont watch or attend games.

I just hope he keeps his nose clean and plays great at this point. He's here gotta roll with it!

There is some limit they have to meet with the new cba where you have to spend such and such money...I don't think any punter is worth that much money..but it is what it is.

Didn't hear about that one. I was watching the baseball game on Fox SportSouth last night and they advertised the Tampa Bay/KC game. Was actually going to try to find a pile of cheap tickets to the Atlanta/Miami game tomorrow if I could, got about 9 people that wanna go. Decent seats aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination anymore. I think I paid about 350 a ticket last year during the regular season for field level seats around midfield.

Vick deserves the criticism because he acted like a thug.....BUT I wonder if he has made a true life change and that was reflected in his superb play last season. I hope so, for his sake. That being said, I don't think he'll last much of the next season because he's gonna get plastered and spend a lot of time watching. Either way, Philly should be tough. Green Bay should be tough. Atlanta should be tough. They look good on paper. On paper, the Saint's look like one of the best teams they have ever had. They don't play on paper.......they mostly play on fake grass!!! Can't wait to see some real = it counts football.

They lost quite convincingly to Detroit. I'd say that's pretty new. This might be a good year for the Lions if they can keep Matt Stafford healthy.

You can see on the slow-mo replay that his upper left arm buckles and snaps as his elbow hits the ground, and you can REALLY see how it's snapped by the time he rolls over on it the 2nd time before getting up. He'll definitely be out for the entire season. If it shattered and splintered all to hell, he might not be able to play football EVER AGAIN. YOUCH!
