I don't have the psx version. As a little hint, I got a rom and an emulator to do my copies in order to better compare sizes and textures. I own a copy of the game, but loading it and trying to finangle a way to recreate maps that way would be a nightmare.
I was lucky to find a 1v1 video on YouTube on Captivity for reference, and along with using a Doom version for reference, I was able to remake it. The video of the 1v1 match was only divided into two screens so there wasn`t much of a problem there.

Perhaps I should just use the Doom ports for reference then?if you legally own the game but cant find it, and legally own a ps1 even if it doesnt work and/or cant find it... get a playstation emulator up and running and download the quake2 playstation iso technically legal, and youll get perfect reference... the thing with the doom port is its still doom :/ so things might be a tad odd in some respects... like i noticed it kinda has a jump pad? but you just float there? how does it ACTUALLY behave in the psx version.... and what items is it really? i guarantee its not a green armor there like the doom version i just saw the doom version on youtube, ill check out the psx one later
