I`m not sure why it would be illegal to convert QL maps over to other games. As long as they`re not direct rips with the same assets and all, it s/b fine. If someone can convert the Q1 maps legally without using any of the original assets, seems okay.

(Meaning, in this context, freely distributable and modifiable under the conditions of the GPL.)The assets (textures, maps, sounds, etc.), to my knowledge, were never released under a license allowing free distribution.This is why we're still obligated to purchase the game to obtain the assets.Regards,
