Hobo with a shotgun: 0/10

It's supposed to be super gritty. I think there was a typo in the script because it's just supper shitty. Makes the quality of Gigli something to look up to. The movie could have been good but the entire production was made by no talent hacks. I wish I could say it offended me by being provacatgive. But the whole tbing about it being a total piece of trash gets in the way of shock value. Like a 4 year old drawing a circle and telling youu it's a ghost. Yeah tottally gorey... $:-\$

You are weird. I think I remember you calling the latest Rambo movie pretty much a gift from God. Or maybe it was the Expendables. Yet you think THIS movie is totally worthless?

I'm not gonna say it's particularly awe-inspiring or heart-touching or anything like that. But yeah, it's gory as fuck. 99% sure I've talked about this one before. It's basically a Robert Rodriguez knockoff film. Just over the top gore and characters with a comic book or graphic novel type of storyline, just unmistakably fictional. It just depends on what kinda movie you like. If you like Grindhouse, Machete, or From Dusk Til Dawn, this is right up there in same category. It was made to almost look like some kinda 70's cult classic, and basically it IS a cult classic already. And because of that, either you love it, or you hate it. All cult classic films have a bit of a hokey feel to them, but that's what makes them fun. Personally... I liked it.

I think that's insulting to those kinds of movies. Hobo With a Shotgun sucked in every way possible. Predictable, worse than cheesy, horrible acting, terrible camera work, lighting issues, sound problems, crappy story, a special effects department that thinks Freddy 2 is the best movie ever made period, and an absolute utter lack of anything that could ever be considered action. It came across as some old idiot stumbling around and getting his ass kicked, but every so often he gets lucky and has his shotgun out at the right time. And the prostitute with a magically reanimated conscience... what is this, Milk Money 2?

I recognized how crappy it was as soon as I saw the guy with a sewer grate but I watched the whole thing just to prove that it failed horribly at being offensive.

. Unless it's part of your job and you watch 15 movies a day you don't focus on lighting issues, how bored are you? Nine times out of ten I totally disagree with all of your subjective reviews, so anything you consider crap will probably be worth watching. I'll definitely be watching this movie some time because I like it already.

I didn't focus on them. I just saw how absolutely shitty the production was, and it was one of the many things. As you watch you'll see that they are trying to make it look like it was filmed in the early 80's with some crappy film. It works for about 15 minutes, and then everything starts to glow orange for the rest of the film. (I'm describing q2dm1)

Actually I saw it the day after it came out during the afternoon with a friend. Then when I was washing clothes up the street from my home the next day at the laundromat, this guy came in selling bootlegs. So, I bought it.

The next big summer movies, I'll have to buy the bootlegs! There is no way I'm going to pay $11 to stand in line, and have some idiot's kids kick my chair. I hate kids!
