Imagine having to actually MAKE one of these things back in 1670 without the use of all the nice modern precision tools we have today. Holy shit, that would have to be so tedious and frustrating. One little missed measurement and botched carve and you'd have to start all over making that one single component by hand. A fully functional ingenious work of art. THAT'S some true craftsmanship right there, son.

If I were a professional musician, I'd actually kinda be ashamed to say that I won a Grammy. Hardly anyone who's won one in the past 10 or 15 or 20 years has been anyone I'd consider a quality musician or songwriter. I just don't see it that all that many people will still be listening to this Daft Punk crap 20 and 30 years from now and going, "Man, that's some amazing shit!" I can see it being more likely that people will look back and go, "Man, it's amazing that I ever liked this shit!" Then again, if the dumbing down trend in music continues... perhaps this crap will look like Bach and Handel compared to the crap we have to look forward to.

technically people are still listening to daft punk since 13 years ago they released discovery, and people still consider that album a classic. and its been 17 years since they released homework. just sayen

its probably one of the least shit grammy wins for album of the year considering that i expected t swift and macklemore to win.

i wouldnt have minded if kendrick lamar won with good kid maad city either. i think arcade fire deserved their win in 2011 with the suburbs anyway.
