Tourney 3rd Edition (Settings/News/Discussion)

I guess I don't like that there are 2 Sport brackets and no Novice bracket(s). 
(for the record, the novice bracket is a misnomer... it should be called AAA or something.. these aren't novice players by any means)

I'll use myself as an example...banes, v-Mya, sean, Gator, Defiant!, deft, haunted, DeathInc{KEA}, cartman, and (c-12) could beat me easily.  No doubt about it.  I certainly do not belong in the same group as talented players like them.  Novice is a fitting description for me compared to players such as them.

It would be hard to get true Novice-caliber players to enter a tournament like this.  As Laurelin said, Novice players are generally not interested in tournaments.  If you can get some true Novice players to enter a 1vs1 tournament, that would be great.  But I seriously doubt you would get more than 3 or so to actually commit themselves to it.  Feel free to prove me wrong.

It will come out in the wash, but I would be shocked if Bleach belongs in that bracket.

maybe I missed it, but I would hope the Novice bracket games don't require a ref.

i think some of these people in sport should reconsider where they are
some of them like defiant belong in pro

i consider myself a sport type player, but ill never join unless i have some sorta chance
i think there shoudl be some sorta skill limit in place so people like me arnt scared into joining something to low
gator has guts tho your slighty better then me bud, but you wouldnt stand a chance in sport

demon youre right, with some dedication i could compete in pro bracket, but unfortunately with a new job and schooling rearing its hypocritical head once again that wont be possible, days of me spending large amounts of time on tourney servers is over, will prolly jus be a morning or nightly thing at this point, but i appreciate the compliment

and besides, i know its fucked up, but even i think no matter how much dedication i could make within the next couple of days, i couldnt hope to be much competition for that 100 dollar prize, i personally feel like im on the cusp of sport and pro, so i opted to be in the top 10% of the sport bracket rather than the bottom 20% of pro (dont ask me where im gettin these numbers from i dont even know) but the point is, i want that timberland dress up shirt with the brown theme to it, make my dreams a reality laurelin

oh and imo, no offense xtife but i do believe you belong in novice as well as gator

i'd agree with that.  i dont practice or anything.  i know sport will be a very large challenge for me.  i'm just jumping in to participate.  have no care to win.

the only time i know you saw me was when the first tourney was around
and beleave me i have gotten much better since then

but i was seriosuly out matched during those fights tho
not to mention i had no experince with the maps
especially aerowalk. i hate that map so much ehe

thats a bad pun hehe.. thanks for the comment on my skills i think, but i really couldnt hold my own in sport.. on q2dm1 i have experiance/know the map/sounds whatnot.. other than that i dont have much practice, and i suck at strategy.. still an edge of the seat ffa player no matter how hard i try

Concerning the 'Cheating' Dilemma. We will have a 5-person committee appointed to wallhack tracking. They will inspect demos if some accusations arise ~ with top-tier high-tech detecting tools.  Grin And will vote if yes or no the player is cheating.

I will post later about it. That being said - no clients are forced. Only demo recording.
