I was never too crazy about this song. I don't think ALL of Rod Stewarts old stuff from the 70's was bad.

Speaking of OLD songs...

I like this one. Kind of a sad tune. The rhythm and sound of the instruments sounds kinda like a slow moving train, and really helps to create the mood of the song. I doubt most people here care too much for Hank Williams' songwriting and singing, I like it though, I guess it's an acquired taste sometimes. The way he sang really captured the essence of that era (late 1940's - early 1950's) and the country music industry at that time.

A long time ago when I was a teenager I heard that Hendrix was asked what is was like to be the greatest guitarist alive and he said: "I don't know, ask Phil Keaggy". That may be an urban legend, but I now see why his name was brought up......

I think he later changed his name to David Berg and the Taliban sawed his head off with a butter knife. Or maybe they were just twins who happened to be born about 10 or 20 years apart.

Yeah, Hank III looks a hell of a lot like his grandpa, but I guess the ability to sing worth a bucket of lukewarm spit must've skipped his generation. He's a decent guitar and bass player though. He played bass for Phil Anselmo's band Superjoint Ritual. His new stuff with his band Assjack is alright. I wouldn't really recommend any of his music to anyone who didn't already like psychobilly bands like Reverend Horton Heat.

One from Frank Marino (and Mahogony Rush) from back in the 70's sometime. Very ethereal instrumental. Frank is a great old school guitarist who isn't well known but can really play a Gibson SG. Still plays and tours today.
