Been seeing a lot of older music videos posted on Youtube lately - some going back to the early sixties. Most have never been seen by a younger audience. I have a lot of faves from early b&w jazz videos thru to the 90's. Here's an uncommon one from the 80s I like by Lone Justice, featuring the fantastic and sexy singer, Maria McKee.

Wow. The early 90's demise of popular metal was so fucking tragic, LMAO. All the videos had to have some hot blonde and the band playing in some industrial factory setting with sparks flying and wind blowing their conditioner-laden hair all over the place. Speaking of hot blondes, pause that video at 1:34 and tell me how fucking girly that guitar player looks. Is he wearing makeup? HOLY HELL!

This is Egg from 1970. The opening chords would make a good "metal" song. Not bad for 1970. The rest of the song is kind of artsy but with nice keyboard work.  Quite ahead of their time, really....

On the subject of progressive... One of my favorite's: Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Still, You Turn Me On/Lucky Man

Greg Lake has one of the most powerful voices I've ever heard. I love bands like ELP that can perform live as well as they sound in the studio.

I've heard the song Level and Steady As She Goes, but I never really knew who it was. I never really like the White Stripes because of how simple it sounded, but I could appreciate the classic sound they were going for. I like this full group a hell of a lot more.

Some pre-MTV era Genesis that many people aren't familiar with. Genesis in 1980 doing "Squonk" from the album A Trick Of The Tail. Check out Phil Collins with his Miami Vice-ish tropical print shirt and beard.  :D
