Haha, I stumped YouTube. I was going to post a fairly obscure cut from 1970 by a group called Rhinocerous, but it's nowhere to be found. There was a whole album done by these guys but many have never heard of it, let alone find it on the Net. I have 2 songs by them on mp3. The group was a collection of top studio British musicians of the day who did a one off. It's straight forward rock but fairly well done for the times.
Maybe I'll put it on the Tube if I can figure out how to make the video.

My bad. The obscure group was called "Rumplestliskin". A bunch of Brit studio musicains.
There actually was a group called Rhinocerous that had a hit called "Apricot Brandy" around 1972 I think.

I don't think I'd ever be able to play the harp. No position markers like on guitars. Plus the finger picking ain't too easy. I took the strings off my electric to force myself to play my acoustic more and have been trying to play without a pick recently. I play too sloppy to make it sound good. That's one reason I don't give too much credit to electric guitar players anymore. The electric guitar (especially played through an amp with lots of overdrive/distortion) is way too forgiving, you can't really hear the subtle mistakes that you would on an acoustic.

I recently finished an autobiography of Bill Marx,Harpo's adopted son:Son of Harpo Speaks. He revealed some interesting details about the harp aspect of his adopted father's life.

Harpo took up the harp only because the vaudville circuts paid more to the brother's act(which was mainly musical at that point) for string instruments. He was entirely self taught and had to practise 3 hour a day to maintain the callouses on his fingers,and he was so good that two professional harpists of his time learned new techniques from him.
