I find shrooms to be highly unpredictable for my body. Sometimes there are really good and don't dry out my throat and others dry me up and cause me to gag and vomit. I think I have an allergy to them so I have essentially written them off for consuming plain. If I want to try them again I'm steeping them in a tea or baking them. MMMM shroom brownies/fudge.

They dry your throat as you eat them? Well an effect is the fact you do dry out. That's why whirl mentioned drinking water. I tend sip a few black tooths now-a-days.

I use to mix them with like jerky and peanut butter sandwiches but now I'm so use to them I eat em raw. I actually kind of enjoy the taste.

the texture, color, and size of the actual caps are the main factors as to weather they're any good or not, from my experience.

The taste of wet shrooms is way, WAAAAAAAY, worse than dry FYI hahahah.. wet were the first kind I had too, it ACTUALLY tastes like shit, and not just bad like the dry ones. I've always eaten them all plain basically, the few times I didn't I'd make peanut butter sandwiches though.

So with shrooms can you get a full on visual trip?...some people tell me its more of a body buzz and if I want the visuals ill have to try acid or something (but im not trying acid..lol)...any of you guys have some positive or negative visual effects off shrooms?

edit: when I say visual effects I mean from the light looking a little cool, to a smurf dancing on your kitchen table...lol minor and major plz

The body high is awesome. You feel SO happy. As for visuals... look you're not going see a green monster run across the room. For me, pretty much each and every time I have tripped this is what I saw: Wallpaper designs move, rug designs move, things like that. Shadows are my favorite thing. I know when I'm tripping hard the normally steady the shadows are slowly moving back and forth. The best trips you will have will be chillin with one other friend in the saftey of your home with no intruptions from sober people. People that are sober are fucking let downs when your on mushshrooms. "Your weird man.", "Look at how high you are."... those people suck.

I don't know, maybe for haunted they don't work so well or maybe for me I've just really had good luck and always have had really, really good mushrooms. Still by far my favorite drug, nothing beats them. Best money can buy, for me.

Ya, my girlfriend put these stars all over the ceiling of our room...you cant even see them during the day, but at night when all the lights are off there are hundreds of different size stars glowing everywhere....they already appear to move if you stare at them, I bet on shrooms it would be wicked

Ever had a bad trip? and if so how do I avoid it

(I know im turning into a question machine, but I just like to know the full effects of the drug before I try it)

Yeah things like that are cool. Especially if it's in your mind that they already trick you.

Yeah I've had a few bad trips when I first started doing them. You think a lot... and you sometimes start to analyze your life and shit around you. Your emotions can get the best of you and things can get scary. You have to understand you're in control the whole time. Try not to get to deep in your thoughts when it comes to personal shit in your life... Like if you're a negative thinker and you worry a lot about things, you'll most likely start crying or something at some point. Like I mentioned before try to keep it to a real small amount of people and avoid sober people being around. Nothing I hate more than somebody trying to blow my high by making fun of me because I'm stoned.

Key is to stay happy and just enjoy it. Laugh your ass off... Besides worrying and stuff the only other bad trip I had once was when I ate to much... I was really stoned. Sitting in the back yard of my friends house staring at the stars. Eventually I got to intense and puked all over myself. lol that was good... After an hour I was sober again... if you puke you'll kill it so that's a good way out of a bad trip if it happens.

I agree with these guys, on the bad trip issue.

I've done my fair share of shrooms, and LSD for that matter, and I have never had a single trip that I would consider a "bad trip" by the common definition.

I've had trips that didn't end as quickly as I had hoped, and I was stuck around sober people as I came down, but with a bit of planning, and a good quiet place to be where no one will show up randomly and bug you, this should not happen.

One thing I have noticed tho, from being around people who were also loaded and halucinating, is that your state of mind about the act of doing halucinogens will greatly affect your chances of freaking out, and if you go into it thinking that it's going to be an awesome adventure (and plan appropriately) you will never end up having a bad one.

If you go into it, with reservations about the possibility of trippin hard and never coming down (which I've only ever heard of with LSD) then you will stand a good chance of not having a good time.

Another thing to take into consideration is that excessively religiously indoctrinated people don't tend to fare well either, because their guilt gets a hold of them and they start running circles in their mind about how bad they are, how often they fuck up, etc.. (just think Catholic and you'll know what I'm getting at here)

Go in with an open mind, a meal in your stomach and a bottle of water to drink, and you should enjoy yourself immensely and have nice little halucinations about inanimate objects swirling, "breathing" (lol lidz) and generally moving when they should not be.

then you get out of the car and scream FUCK YOU GOD!!!

... that was my first trip... hahah

then "Im afraid of americans" came on the radio and it started raining and i watched people cross the street in the rain
and thought i was going explode from the sheer awesomeness...

tomorrow ill be trying them--just me, my girlfriend and 2 of her girlfriends will be doing it (I figure the best way to feel comfortable is to surround myself with women heh) gonna be odd, ill post my results...as for now, it's bed time, took the night off from drinking but im gonna go upstairs and pack a nice bowl and drift to sleep.
