Meh. In my opinion it wouldn't matter even if Georgia had've disemboweled them 70 to nothing. Look at who else is in their "conference" that they compete with... easy wins. And Georgia was really the only tough team on their schedule. If they win out, which is entirely possible, they'll certainly be back in the top 10.

BUT...

Notre Dame gets Virginia next. They'll be in South Bend, but still, Virginia ain't no freebie this year. They are 4-0 right now.

And even if Virginia does beat them next week, they could still win the remaining 8 games and be somewhere in the top 6 come conference championship weekend. And they don't have a conference championship game like everyone else. They don't have to face a tough opponent that weekend and risk taking one more loss just before they pick the playoff teams.

They also play Michigan on Oct 26th and Virginia Tech on Nov 2nd. HOPEFULLY one of them can beat them too. If Notre Dame can manage to lost just 2 more, they'll be out of the running and far back enough in the ranks to not interfere with anyone elses chances.

Oct 12 - USC Trojans
Oct 26 - Michigan
Nov 2 - Virginia Tech

See what I mean? Virginia is the only one with a better than fair chance at beating them. If Michigan wanted to be everyones hero for once, they'd kick the shit outta Notre Dame for the good of the college football community this year.

Penn State v. Maryland on Friday. Penn St(-6) and the O/U is 61.5. Penn St hasn't been able to rack up the points this season like the last 2 years, and it's @ Maryland. A good wager is to take Penn State covering the spread parlayed with the under.

VA Tech is also playing at home against duke favored at -2.5. Might not be a bad one to take.

NC's Sam Howell is 80th in total QBR, but closer to 8th if you only count his 4th quarter stats. He's 7 for 8 on 4th downs. 4 games and even in defeat he has a knack for winning the 4th quarter and having all the momentum. When the pressure on, somehow with some luck, the kid does absurdly better. The pressure will be on the whole game against clemson and the spread is 28.5 pts. Despite NC having little to no chance of actually winning, I think I'll place a wager on +28.5.

Virginia has a chance, and so does Michigan. VA Tech, Boston College, and USC are the next 3 teams to mention after those two and they ALL play at ND. That really fucking sucks, lol. BC is known to run the ball down team's throats at home(like they did against VA Tech). ND has 3 away games left: Duke, Stanford, and Michigan.

So that pretty much leaves Virginia, then Michigan. Shitty.

Man, this exceeded my own expectations. That was actually one of the best games I've seen so far this season! I hope y'all caught it, that 2pt conversion call at the end........yeah............. but a really good game nonetheless. What a weird consistency NC has. The best at thriving in the moment and under pressure. The announcer said before the game he IS actually the #1 QB in the nation in 4th quarter, I was just guessing he was up there previously. And to think the great 4th quarter stats carried him to get a whopping 80th total QBR, hahaha. This was freshman Sam Howell's best game yet by far and very fitting against Clemson.

Any time clemson seemed off it was largely due to NC playing well. Although I admit when watching UNC's defense shred clemson's OL and sack Trevor Lawrence a few times I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out saying I've been punk'd.

Did duke just become our best hope to beat notre dame?

I did not see the game, but the score says a lot about how good I'm sure it was.

I commend Mack Brown for having the balls to go for it. UNC really had nothing to lose. If you make it, you are the top headline. If you don't make it, you still have everyone talking about you.

I liked it too. The play selection on the other hand... But, that was the best game I've seen all season so far maybe. The ACC haters are already saying Clemson is trash and shouldn't be ranked, but whatever.

Clemson is a playoff team in my eyes, until they lose. They may be playing to the level of their opponents as some teams tend to do.
UNC has shown that they are capable of taking down any team they play, and should not be taken lightly.

The Gators are about to show if they are for real or not. (I think that they are over-rated) (The O-line is not good and they can't run the ball)
2 of their best defensive players should be back, but the next games are very tough.
Florida's next 4 games
Auburn in Gainesville
LSU on the road
South Carolina on the road
Georgia in Jacksonville.
I would be impressed if they go 2-2. I think that it is more likely that they go 1-3 or 0-4.

UNC started out ranked 58th in strength of schedule. They are now 5th. Notre Dame is still #1, because they overrate their opponents so the wins mean a lot and the losses mean little(same with ohio state). Sucks the preseason SoS was so off in the FPI though. They set the narrative for the ACC coastal to be trash, and now they have duke 4-1(1 loss to alabama), UVA 4-1(1 loss to Notre dame), and wake forest 5-0 all on NC's schedule. NC is probably the best 2-3 team right now. I'd say SC normally had they not played each other in their opener.

Media on big 10: "Remember when Indiana gave ohio state a hard time? Northwestern beat Indiana!!! Man, the big 10 is just so good and so competitive!!!!"

Media on ACC coastal: "Well the acc coastal started out with unc, va tech, and miami all 5-0 but now they've all dropped a game to each other. The coastal is just so inconsistent no team stands out"

^That was 4-5 years ago haha, and if anything the big 10 was marginally worse than normal. The coastal is hit or miss but writing them off from the start sucks. Uphill battle to get a good bowl game from there.

I only caught the 4th quarter of the North Carolina @ Georgia Tech game, but... can someone please explain to me why in the ever-loving-fuck-beans Georgia Tech would go for a 2 point conversion in a 10 point game? That shit made NO sense at all. Normally if Georgia Tech ISN'T playing against Georgia, I'll root for them... but nah. Not until they get a real coach, or at least one who isn't apparently dropping LSD when calling plays.

Dunno if anyone caught the Georgia @ Tennessee game last night, but... more questionable bullshit, in my opinion. Georgia breaks of a HUGE 40-ish yard bulldozing run, and... gosh darn it, wouldn't ya know it, the stadiums clock and play clock goes kaput. And it stays that way for the rest of Georgia's drive, which has AGAIN had it's momentum frozen by unforeseen circumstances (I'm referring to the "injury flops" Notre Dame pulled 2 weeks ago). But... when Tennessee gets the ball back... YAY, CLOCK WORKS AGAIN!

Later, Georgia starts taking over the game... and they change the main referee. And the new guy starts throwing an ENDLESS stream of flags for the slightest little stupid thing.

A Tenn player blindside blocks a GA DLineman by headbutting him and they call targetting, then review it, then they come back and say, "Not targeting! WEEEEEE!" HE... HIT... HIM... IN... THE... FUCKING... HEAD... WITH... HIS... HEAD! That's the DEFINITION of targetting, isn't it?

VERY NEXT PLAY... A Georgia linebacker tackles a Tenn receiver completely normally... TARGETING! His head was nowhere near the guys helmet. They spend 5 minutes reviewing it and are forced to reverse the call... which shouldn't have been called to begin with if the officials were doing their jobs correctly.

And I noticed a couple other occasions were Tenn players were "injured" after Georgia made large chunks of yards. I hope this shit isn't gonna become a trend. If a drive is a little too successful and going up-tempo, folks just act hurt and they get to stand around for an extra minute or two WITHOUT taking a timeout and catch their breath.

The past two games have shown evidence that Georgia has changed how they do conditioning and are working out to have more stamina in the 4th quarter. Tennessee and Notre Dame both hung with Georgia in the first half when they were fresh but got blown away in the second half because they got tired. That used a be problem under Mark Richt. They'd jump out to a lead and then get winded by the 4th quarter and they'd have to rely on coasting with their run game, which didn't always work, especially in the more important games.

I didn't catch Tennessee Georgia but I did watch almost all of unc vs g tech. Georgia tech didn't play well at all and got lucky several times. Sam Howell nailed wide open receivers twice in the end zone on 3rd down, on 2 separate drives, with one resulting in a missed FG. Halftime should've easily been 30-0 instead of 17-0. Bad coverage by g tech and the same happened in the 3rd quarter on nc's receiving end. I saw tweets in articles after to strip the receivers scholarships from lack of effort, lmao. Two huge turnovers by nc with one directly putting g tech in position to immediately score after. So NC got very lucky as well that ga tech couldn't capitalize unless it was served on a platter. The announcers said they had improved a lot especially since the citadel loss but I only watched the end of that game. Ga tech let nc coast for a win for more than 3/4 of a game despite dropped passes for basically free TD's and big turnovers. Bad coaching calls for g tech too. On UNC's end there hasn't been big coaching blunders for the past two games at least. Clemson especially. Although I think they should've done what they were doing the whole game for that failed 2pt conversion against Clemson because it was WORKING Haha. The OC 'tried' to catch them off with an option play to the right and dabo said his DC went up to him and predicted the exact play call.

The Gators won a ugly game against Auburn. I thought that it would be a defensive dominated game. All the turnovers made the game ugly, but the defenses made those plays happen. When Trask went down with a knee injury, I figured the Gators were screwed. Trask came back into the game but was not quite the same. I think it is a longshot for Florida to go into LSU and win. Hopefully Florida will get their other DE back after he missed the last 2 games. Florida is going to need a complete & healthy on defense if it has a chance to win. Trask will need to be 100 percent also.
