So, how I have my bets setup, if either team has the first scoring play as a running TD(bucs or atlanta).., I win. If k-state beats auburn or vice versa(considering the amount I put on each), I win.............but............ if Atlanta beats the bucs, then I lose, and the only thing that'd break me even or make me in the + is if either of the NFL teams score a running TD as the first score as mentioned.

So, I'm sitting fairly well. I might have bad luck, but I attempt to play this shit out strategically.

Yeah. I swear they do this shit to me on purpose. I could put 100 against them on every remaining regular season game and they'd win them all just because they know it'd piss me off. Tempted to do it too just to spite their loser asses because I damn well know they suck bad enough to warrant betting against them all year no matter who they play.

My assessment of tonights game? Looks like I underestimated Devin Hester's abilities. Been saying since before preseason that hiring him was a mistake, however, since the Falcons outright LIED to us all saying that Roddy White was 100% coming into this season, then SOMEONE is gonna have to take his spot as the right side wideout. Might as well be someone with plenty of experience like Hester. All the better if he can still move and cut like he used to. So I'll stop bitching Hester... for now.

He broke Deion Sanders return record record tonight... whooptee-fuckin-doo. Becuase while I underestimated Atlanta's passing offense based on what I saw in the last game against the Bengals, I also OVERestimated Tampa's defense. Seriously some of the worst defense I've ever seen from any NFL team in my entire life. And I don't really think Tampa is as bad as what I saw tonight, they just had one really bad night of sloppy coverage and lazy play against a pretty accurate QB that took full advantage of every gap and hole on every play. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, Ryan's a damn good passer and smart enough to recognize what defenses are doing with coverage as a play is happening, and you CANNOT leave gaps in coverage or else he's gonna spot them and punish you for them more often than not. He's not the greatest QB in the world, but he's definitely “good” (most of the time anyway), and that's why I rarely complain about what he does.

But no matter what the score was at any point tonight, Atlanta still played awful defense. That shit is gonna be there all year and I doubt these D players have the ability to get any better. Only reason the score was what it was is because Atlanta's defense was playing against a Tampa offense that was playing even worse. You stick a healthy HB Martin in there for Tampa and I guarantee you that game goes a little differently.

If I were Tampa, I'd seriously consider making Glennon the starter for the next couple of weeks. And then in the mean time I'd be doing some research and looking at hiring some free agent QB. Dunno whatever happened Colt McCoy, but if he's a FA, he might be a good choice. Probably a handful of others out there too. McCown was #2 or #3 QB in Atlanta, and theres a good reason he's not anymore. Cuz he's CRAP.

Anyway, I'm gonna make the 100 back and then some this Saturday when Georgia takes on Troy. Gotta risk a buttload more to make it up plus get what I was expecting tonight, but it's virtually a sure thing. I refuse to walk away anywhere BUT in positives this year even if I end up having to fucking double down 8 times in a row and put 9k into play to get there. If you can't lose, don't bet? I can lose, I just choose not to.

Basically it's the (almost) idiot-proof way of winning at roulette. You only bet on one color all night long. You lose one, double the bet. You lose again, bet 4x the first bet. You lose again, bet 8x the first bet. You lose again, bet 16x the first bet. Easy to follow, easy to win. HOWEVER... once in a while you'll hit a streak of losses. Gotta make sure you bring enough cash in hand and bet low enough with the first bet to cover the investment its gonna take to be able to double down enough times to outlast the losing streak. You do your math wrong to set the first bet without accounting for what you'll need to outlast losing 7 or 8 spins in a row, or get greedy and up the amount from 2x to 8x and skip 4x, or if you chance it and up your bet for a first bet after winning one, and you'll end up hitting that unlucky streak and go flat broke. Like I said, it's ALMOST idiot proof. Don't be an idiot, plan ahead, stick to the plan, and you'll probably be alright.

Same shit applies in sports betting, just more math to do because payouts differ from game to game or what aspect of those games you wager on. That's the great thing about sports betting though - it's NOT roulette, so the odds of winning can be better than 48% or whatever it is. Bet on an underdog to upset, maybe lose, turn around and make back on something with way more favorable odds if you want. As long as you set what I guess I'd call a “risk bet” limit (games with unfavorable odds for greater payouts), keep an amount aside to bet on a guaranteed winner and at least recoup the loss, then there's really no reason at all why someone should have to walk away from football season with a negative net.

I'm late on this topic but who in the NFL gets beat like Tampa did

Tampa was down 56-0 before Atlanta started playing with 8 players.
Scores like that happen in college but you don't see pro games go like that.
I am glad I did not see the game, I was watching Auburn/K-state and forgot about the NFL game.
I wonder when the last time a NFL team was down 56 points in a game

I have never been a fan of Lovie or McClown.
Lovie may be a good coach, but he has never proven to be a good Head coach.
McClown has never proven to be a good starting QB

Maybe off topic, but am I the only one not really impressed with the media's over the top coverage of Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, etc. I mean I understand it's bad situation these guys are involved in, but if these were normal people, who would honestly give a fuck? It would get a day or two (maybe) of local network coverage, then be forgotten as quick as it was mentioned.

Not trying to derail the thread, just commenting on how the media makes such a big deal about football players downfalls when otherwise it would barely be an afterthought.

I agree that these stories are over covered.
When you are a famous person you will have excessive coverage on something like this.
The NFL guys may be getting slightly more coverage because of their physical strength and they are involved in physically abusive crimes.
If Ellen Degenerate slapped her gay lover, it probably would not get quite as much coverage.
