Man, that shit made ME hurt just watching it. REALLY bad place for a break. Hopefully it was a clean straight break with no muscle tissue damage. Didn't look like any bone fragments broke through skin, so he might be okay after a year. Haven't heard anything further about xrays and the exact details of the injury.

Not NFL but my highschool team had won 38 games and 3 state championships in a row.
They played on ESPN today and got dominated by a team from Cincy  :raincloud:

I'm a little confused. I thought the goal of playing NFL football was to win and go to the superbowl. The Raiders finally shitcan Jamarcus Russell (well overdue) and made a pretty good move bringing in Terrell Pryor from Ohio State.

Rabbit trail:
Although he's supposed to be "suspended" from the first 6 games of the regular season due to the shit that went on with the NCAA and Ohio State. That's pretty fucking retarded in my opinion. Just because he'd be suspended for half the season if he were still playing football in the NCAA, the NFL is going to kiss their ass by carrying over their stupid ruling. If the NFL and NCAA are going to start doing shit like that, they might as well go ahead and start giving college football players salaries like they talked about doing. Maybe then they could relax some of these nazi fuckin' rules about accepting gifts and the strict rules about when coaches can talk to potential recruits.

Nevertheless, getting back to the point I was trying to make here...

Denver brings on a great QB in Tim Tebow, and he's looked kinda promising this preseason, yet they still express plans to keep Kyle Orton at the starting QB position. WHAT THE HELL!?! They bring in a Heisman trophy winning college QB who basically won the BCS title single handedly only to have his ass keeping the bench from floating away.

Seattle lets starting QB Matt Hasslebeck go (probably a good move), but then doesn't bring in anyone else (probably a bad move). WHAT THE HELL!?! Pete Carroll and the Seahawks GM are either crazy or stupid, but probably just stupid.

Then Tennessee picks up Matt Hasslebeck after kicking Vince Young to the curb. I agree that kicking Vince Young the fuck out was the best possible decision they could make. He was a childish little immature pain in the ass, as most of the football watching world got to see first-hand on TV a couple times last season. For the past few years, Titans coach Jeff Fisher had to put up with all his bullshit and just bite his lip when asked about him by the media. Now that they finally decide to kick him out for good, they send Jeff Fisher packing too. Kinda unfair in my opinion. Would've been nice to see how the Titans would've done without that thorn in Fisher's side. But anyway, Matt Hasslebeck really hasn't performed well the past few years. Doesn't make sense to me to bring in some mediocre pocket passer like him and expect a new environment and uniform to be a real difference maker. My money says he drags Tennessee down with him.

He's like Donovan McNabb. Eagles let him go because he wasn't producing results. Washington lets him go because he wasn't producing results. Now Minnesota picks him up. WHAT THE HELL!?! They got sloppy seconds with Brett Favre, and now Vikings fans get dirty thirds with McNabb? FUCKING STUPID! He's a fucking past-his-prime has-been.

And to tie it all in like some retarded poorly written fucking soap opera, the Philadelphia Eagles bring in Tennessee reject Vince Young. If I were a Philly Eagles fan, I'd be camped outside of the Eagles stadium beside the GM's car so I ask him what the fuck his god damn problem is bringing in a pair of shitheads like Michael Vick and Vince Young. I understand they want a QB that can run like hell, but they're taking a HUGE gamble in these two assholes. Michael Vick ain't known for being sturdy, he's quite injury prone. And Vince Young is famous for acting like a disagreeable little twat when shit doesn't go his way. Choosing these two douchebags to be the #1 and #2 leaders of the team is a recipe for disaster in my opinion.

But the main point I wanted to make is there are so many great college QB's who deserve a chance to lead at the next level, and it's fucking shame that some of these NFL teams who are dying for a good quarterback just absolutely REFUSE to take a chance on any of these guys. Sticking with the veterans obviously isn't working for a few of them.

to sum up focalors rant:

it was 5 games for pryor..( he should try moving to tight end imo)

tebow can't run a pro offense (head coach who drafted him got fired - wasted pick) is now the 3rd string qb...

vince young didn't get along with the head coach fisher ( fisher didn't want to draft him)...but is miles ahead of grandpa hasslebeck (philly now has one of the better backups in the league)

Oh no, it was much more than that. Maybe you don't remember the temper tantrum he threw last year when he slung his helmet up into the stands and then the cops had to spend 30 minutes wrestling it away from the guy who didn't want to cough it up. His shitty attitude is part of why he was sidelined before that as well. He's an "okay" quarterback I guess, but not as accurate as someone like Brees or Brady. He's more of a gunslinger like Favre or Cutler, where he all too often tosses it up and prays his man comes down with it. And coincidentally, those types of haphazard plays end up as a turnover.

He did have a bad attitude, which in part got him removed from the squad as well, but the main issue was with his coach...as far as talent goes not many are a brady or brees...i'd classify him more as a vick type player (funny since he is now his backup)

personal opinion: given more playing time i'd give him the edge over vick. ( vince was 17-13 as a titan :>!)

Not wishing any bad luck on anybody but....my question would be who is Philly's 3rd QB? Vick nor Young will last the full season. Vick seems to have his head on straight and has awesome athletic skills, but trust me, his habit of exposing himself is going to get him on IR. Young is poison as a teammate.  If you throw half your uniform in the stands, you are a classless immature person. Once his offensive line figures out where his heart is (in love with Vince Young), the blocking up front will mysteriously break down.  I have seen it happen to more than one "gifted"quarterback.

Haha, speaking of which, anybody know who that was playing defense last year that basically laid on the ground and waited for the play to end after barely even trying to thwart the offensive lineman's attempt to keep him off the QB? Was that Albert Haynesworth? Saw a brief clip of whoever it was on NFL network the other day, funny shit.

Edit: HELL YEAH it was.

Side note – I think the NCAA rules are total bullshit, but they are the rules.

Michael Vick, 6 years, 100 million dollars. Jesus Christ, you just royally screwed yourself, Philadelphia.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Eagles-give-Michael-Vick-a-new-six-year-100-mi?urn=nfl-wp6107

3 years at 9 to 12 million would've been a more sensible move. It's not like anyone else will really consider touching him at this point, at least not for that much bread.

Nah, this piece of trash can't snap an arm, some nice backup QB that minds his P's and Q's like Byron Leftwich feels the cold clammy fist of shitty luck up his ass. Where the fuck is karma, someone wake it the fuck up and tell it to get back to work.

THat video of hitler was hilarious.  I'm a life long lions fan, so you can all imagine how dissapointed i have been over the years.  This year however, looks to be good if they play the game right. their defense is amazing and SUH is gonna have another amazing year.  Should be good.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
