I've had GH2 for a little while now, a little over a month I think?  I can get 90% or more on "most" all songs on Hard.  Expert I can play some songs, but some are just too crazy for me at this point.  Haven't 100% any songs yet on Hard, but I haven't really focused on any one song too much, except for maybe Sweet Child of Mine, which I CAN play all the parts on that song, but I've never gotten them all in one run.  I think my best is like 97 or 98% on that one.  This is on PS/2 btw.  Songs with REALLY fast strumming, like Misirlou, I can't seem to get the rhythm right.  I'm not sure if I'm playing too fast or what.

Fun game though.  Some of my favorite songs are Thunderhorse, The Light That Blinds, Gemini, Radium Eyes, Jordan, Push Push (Lady Lightning), and a bunch of the more mainstream ones.  Who Was In My Room Last Night, etc.

Check out this if you want, has all the top scores for the game for PS/2 and XBox 360 for GH1 & GH2

1337 Frag Demos / Old? trick watching demos with R1Q2?
« on: June 17, 2007, 04:26:59 PM »
Maybe everybody else already knew about this, but I just was watching a demo and realized that if you hold down the shift key while watching a demo under R1Q2, you can move the mouse and refocus the vantage point from the demo.  Never knew that... any other tricks besides that one for demo viewing under R1Q2?

A shining example of how knowing the trick jumps can keep your opponent guessing =)  Nice toss!

Maybe try clicking the triangle just left of "HOME HELP SEARCH PROFILE ..."

Geez, that was it lol.  I remember a while back I did something, or somehow the forum looked different, where I couldn't see if I had new PM's up top anymore but had to scroll to the bottom of the main page.  I guess I had inadvertently hit that triangle... haha, all along that's what it was =) DUh!

How do I find this again?  I read that it's "at the top of the forum" but I don't see it for some reason.

1v1 and TDM Demos / Re: Damiah vs provi - Chastity

Who won Damiah or Provi?  Amazing (to me anyway) how certain they are of the other players location at every moment.  I guess it is a relatively small map but still I find it impressive.

Quake / Is the DM server on spawn farthest?
« on: May 27, 2007, 09:35:01 AM »
Maybe it's just that the DM server has been really crowded lately, well for a while actually, but the instances of getting telefragged seem to be a lot higher than I remember on any other DM servers.  And I don't mean right after spawning, I mean just during a battle or just moving around the map and finding yourself walking over a spawn and someone spawning right there at that moment and killing you, right after I snagged 200 bullets + chain or some armor or something and in full health, grrrrr...

Anyway, I'm assuming that spawn-farthest is not on?  Was it always off?  Maybe it is on and it's just the amount of people in the game.  But if it's off, turning it on should help this situation right?  I'm assuming that spawn farthest checks each spawn-point before it respawns someone and finds the one that has largest player-free radius to it, thereby giving that person the best chance of getting to a weapon/etc. unmolested, AND eliminating, or reducing those pesky mid-action telefrags I mentioned.

Just wanted to inquire about this, and perhaps others have noticed this annoyance as well =)

1v1 and TDM Demos / Re: Dahang vs Damiah
« on: May 23, 2007, 11:39:21 AM »
After watching this game I would just like to take the opportunity to brag that at the LAN me and Dahang played at I got a kill on him on this map!  Of course the final score was still something like 54 to 0 or -1 because I blew myself up at least once or twice (iirc), but hey, that's an accomplishment!  And it wasn't even at the beginning of the game!

Quake / Re: Your favorite type of Quake kill

I like overkill frags, like if you rocket someone and they're nearly dead, and then they go to flee.  You quickly switch to railgun and snipe em as they try to run away, SPLAT! =)

Quake / Re: Tastyspleen Grenade 300 Tourney
« on: April 07, 2007, 12:11:01 PM »
Nothing against the bang mod, but I think just having it as a regular ol' nade tourney would work best.  That way there isn't any learning curve, or no excuses about not knowing how to use the weapon(s) provided.  No trickery, etc., just toss them nades and may the best (or luckiest?) player win =)
