South Carolina vs Michigan
I hope South Carolina can beat Michigan so I won't have to continue to hear how the Big10 is undefeated in the bowls.

UCF vs Auburn
Undefeated UCF is going to get to see how big league football is played.  UCF might surprise me, but I doubt it.

Notre Dame vs LSU
I hope LSU can step up and take down ND.

Georgia vs Oklahoma
I hope UGA can control the ball and limit Okla possessions and win this game.  I don't want to see Baker celebrating 

Alabama vs Clemson
I would love to see an SEC national championship game.  I think Clemson may have a better chance of beating Okla if Okla gets to the championship game.  I don't have a strong preference on who wins this game.  The biggest thing for me is Okla does not win the championship.

I'm with ya on Michigan SC. The last time I checked it was 3-0 and SC had turned it over twice. BEFORE I saw that I was thinking Michigan beating them 19-17 or something in a low scoring game... now who knows. I hope sc can pull it off.

Like I've said previously: I think Clemson is the best team. But I also think Alabama is the team most likely to beat them unfortunately. Assuming that's true it would be a shame if the #4 team that snuck they're way in got to the championship game. Only bans and Ohio state........

I would've picked the Cocks too, although not many of the talking heads on ESPN would've... because like always, I don't think they've really paid attention to what they've done this year. They lost to Kentucky and Texas A&M early in the season, but they got shit sured up eventually and the only other 2 loses they took were to Clemson and Georgia, two #1 ranked teams.

Nah, I knew Auburn wasn't gonna shut them down. Yet ANOTHER team that should've been in the playoffs ahead of Alabama. I don't give a flying flipping fuck what Alabama's defense looked like against Clemson tonight and how that "says it all" or "settles it". Fact of the matter is they would be the 3rd place SEC team this year, and they got favored over conference champs Ohio State, AND they got favored over a 0 loss UCF. Why even include the American Athletic Conference AT ALL if you're never gonna respect their records no matter what they fucking do?

Honestly, I think Notre Dame was a better football team this year than they were in 2012 when they made it to the National Championship vs Alabama. Yeah, I know, "What have YOU been smoking!?!", especially when looking at their blowout loss to Miami. Everyone's fucked up once or twice this year though. (jewish shrug)

Oh he was celebrating, with that dumbass retarded kid arm swinging thing he does. And one or two Georgia players started mocking him doing it after sacking the shit out of him. And then UGA linebacker Bellamy hollers at him after the game when he refuses to shake his hand, "HUMBLE YO'SELF!"

Anyway, only a week to feel good about this. Because I have this feeling that Georgia will not perform come next Monday night. And much like the Falcons were the one last obstacle standing between Brady and his record breaking 8,257th SuperBowl win, Georgia is gonna be the one thing standing between Nick Saban's Alabama and ANOTHER national championship. So... I've heard this song before and I'm probably not gonna like the way it plays. 'Sokay though, I'm used to disappointment by now. And like I've said before, Alabama wins titles every other year. And they didn't win it last year. Nuff said.

I will say that I noticed some fishy behavior by officials in the Sugar Bowl, spotting Alabama farther ahead than they actually gained, ignoring fouls.

Yup UCF deserved to be in there. Hindsight is a bitch. I didn't blame the committee for excluding them after watching their conference championship game. It was entertaining but some really dumb football. Auburn was outplayed mentally and physically by the "lesser" team.

I know I said something on the lines of Clemson being favored against Georgia/Oklahoma, but Alabama being their kryptonite. Stylistically, I think Oklahoma was possibly the team most likely to beat Alabama. Kind of a similar concept to UCF throwing auburn for a loop. Not to mention I think I recall not a single one of saban's former assistants ever besting him in a game.

I was surprised by UCF.  I wanted to see them get the win, but I did not think it would happen.

Damn ND.  I guess I have to give the ND receiver credit for making a great catch and run.  I really thought LSU had it when they scored late to take the lead.

The way the UGA/Okla games started, I did not see any way UGA was going to win that game.

Alabama showed that when healthy they are as good as anybody in the country.  Alabama dominated their playoff game.

If I were UGA, I would welcome the matchup with Alabama just like they wanted the rematch with Auburn.
Alabama did have injuries to a couple of starters that may keep them out of the Championship.
I think UGA came out healthy from the Oklahoma game.
I think UGA has as good of chance to beat Alabama as anyone.

Alabama showed that when healthy they are as good as anybody in the country.  Alabama dominated their playoff game.

They might be as good as anybody, but I still say they don't deserve where they are. It should be a rule that you must be a conference champion to be seeded in one of the playoff bowls, with an exception being that if you somehow go 12-0 or 11-1 with no conference championship and the would-be 4th seed has only 10 wins to their credit... which I don't even think could happen, but who knows. Clemson, Oklahomo (whoops typo), and Georgia all had to fight through an extra Conference Championship game whilst Alabama sat at home eating cheetos in front of their TVs, smiling, saying "That looks hard,... glad WE don't have to do that." I mean, can I get an amen or am I talking crazy here?

The way I look at what happened in the Rose Bowl, it doesn't really surprise me that Georgia won, even after being down that far. Oklahomo was running no-huddle quick snaps and catching our lazy ambling defense out of position at the start of the plays. Once Oklahomo slowed down the tempo and the Georgia defenders got their fat asses set up properly before the plays, Oklahomo's offense wasn't nearly as successful.  And they had to resort to trick plays several times to get things done too. If you have to resort to that kinda play rather than old fashioned running or drop-back-and-pass, then it's because the coaches don't have the confidence in the teams ability to get the job done just playing straightforward football. What did surprise me though was that Oklahomo clearly saw the evidence that the no-huddle quick snap shit was knocking Georgia flat on their asses, and yet they didn't continue playing like that late in the game when they had the 1-score lead again. I guess they figured it was better to play statistical and traditional, rarely passing and mainly running to eliminate the threat of lost yards on sacks or interceptions on passes. And like I said, they started playing traditional football, and the game slipped away from them.

No doubt that Alabama not playing the the SEC championship helped them.  Alabama got 37 days off to get prepared and get their players healthy.
I don't know if Alabama would beat Clemson if they played at the end of the regular season because so many players (especially at LB) were injured.

Well, Atlanta beat the rams like I thought. Despite popular opinion, I thought new New Orleans or Carolina would too. The rams have been good this season but if you watched their last 2 games you'll know where I'm coming from.

More of a surprise is Tennessee stealing one from KC at home.

Yeah, Chiefs receivers couldn't catch shit when it was thrown PERFECTLY to them. Ba-doing, right off their hands.

I kinda consider the Chiefs to be like the mid-western Falcons. They've NEVER won a Superbowl. They've had good years here and there, but it's been mostly disappointment and squandered potential for them. Poor Andy Reid. He's a good coach, but his stock is plummeting, especially after yesterdays lost. Heard the dorks on ESPN all night long blaming him and his failure to call run plays for the loss... and not really mentioning how Kansas City receivers couldn't catch jack shit thrown to them in the 4th quarter.

I'm pretty shocked Atlanta played as well as they did. I mean I know the Rams aren't amazing despite having one of the highest points-per-game averages in the NFL this year, but I expected Atlanta to suck more than they did and give it away. But... turns out it was the Rams who were sucking with those turnovers.

Revisiting my end of the regular season posts...

Honestly, if I was putting money on it, I'd put my money on Oklahoma winning it all. I might actually spread some money around for this bowl season too, depends on how much xmas shopping I still have to do and how much play money I have.

Fucking BULLSHIT. Someone who got beat by the team that LOST the conference championship gets into the playoffs while two other major conference champions get passed over. That's fucking gay as hell. Who's dick is Nick Saban sucking? I change my mind. Put everything on Alabama AGAIN this year.

The more I keep watching these Bowl Playoff preview shows on ESPN, the more dumbfounded I am that Alabama got a spot in the Sugar Bowl against Clemson. If they win the whole thing this year, I'm gonna be fucking pissed.

Again I say... how much fucking sense does it make to have the national champions (aka, the best team in the country, supposedly) not even be the champions within their conference? They weren't even the #2 best team in the SEC, because that would've been Auburn. What in the faggoty flippity fucking fuck is the point of having 4-seed college football playoffs that were instated to "increase competition" if you're gonna- meh, fuck it. My opinion doesn't fucking matter. I guess I'm just a sore loser, huh?

Well how about if you have a way to rewatch that game, go back and watch every drive on which Alabama scored any points. The only time they ever broke off big plays in regulation was when Alabama's O-line could've/should've been flagged for holding. EVERY FUCKING TIME. Meanwhile Georgia's collecting frivolous sideline penalties from sideline officials who's only job was apparently to be complete assholes and watch ONLY the Georgia sideline and flag them for every little offense even when it doesn't impact the play or the officials ability to do their job. Did it negate touchdowns from Georgia? Nope, but it did serve Alabama good by setting them up with better than usual field position.

Overtime starts... did you catch how the referee coached Alabama's captains into the choice of defending first? And why after the coin toss when everyone went back to their sidelines did officials seem to have some words for the Alabama players?

I'm not one to accuse officials of crookedness, but for the first time, I have no problem admiting that the officiating in that game was awfully fucking fishy.
