I agree with what you said but he had possession, then the football crossed the plane, then he lost possession. Are you saying that he never had possession to begin with or does the ball entering the end zone not apply because it was too soon after the catch?

The BS rule is - The receiver has to completely control the ball throughout the catch (all the way to the ground) no matter where he is on the field.

I think it was Dez Bryant from Dallas that caught a ball going into the endzone for a TD, but when he fell to the ground the ball moved and they took that TD away also.

It's strange. If you catch a ball on the 3 yd line and stretch out with the ball in one hand to place the ball over the goal line as you fall, and the ground causes the ball to come out of your hand, that's still a TD. But if you are IN the end zone for the catch, you must control it all the way to the ground like a pass in the field of play.

Didn't see the game though. Kinda glad I didn't now. Sounds like it sucked.

The more I keep watching these Bowl Playoff preview shows on ESPN, the more dumbfounded I am that Alabama got a spot in the Sugar Bowl against Clemson. If they win the whole thing this year, I'm gonna be fucking pissed.

Yeah.. I think what's irritating about this recent one is the manner of him gripping it tightly with both hands and deliberately changing the balls direction to stretch in the end zone. He had control of it when he did that clearly. The video with dez is lame because the ball never actually hit the ground but this one bothers me more... Partly because it favors New England too of course.

So Bucs Falcons. Atlanta should win, but we'll see. If atlanta wins tonight and beats carolina they'll have a post-season game, and they may snag a wild card spot still if they win tonight and lose to carolina... After this weekend's games my opinion still stands. I have NO IDEA who will win the NFC. I mean shit, I mentioned how close they were with the rams possibly being the lesser of the 5 then they go and beat seattle 42-7. And Carolina beats Green Bay with Rodgers. Minnesota, New orleans, carolina, LA, or Atlanta.. who knows. Atlanta may be in the back seat currently record-wise but it doesn't mean they're a worse team.

I just hope more than anything that the jags win the AFC.

One more comment on the BS rule that cost the Steelers the game. If the receiver would have caught the ball on the 5 yard line and took two steps then leaped and got the ball over the goal line and then the ball came loose (It's a TD)

I think the Failclowns will handle the Yucs.

I think I'm gonna NOT watch football again tonight. But at this point... who cares who wins. I just haven't really been able to get into NFL all the much this year. It's not the "taking a knee" thing. My dad has boycotted watching NFL for that shit, so there was no football for Thanksgiving.

It's just... I dunno, for some reason it's not as exciting this year.

Speaking of PC BS, I was just reading some story on The New Yorker site about perceived PC controversy behind the Ferdinand story and the new movie, and the article mentioned some lady was upset about Sleeping Beauty because when the Prince kissed Sleeping Beauty while she was asleep, it was non-consensual, and thus perpetuated "rape culture".

Some people are so fucking uptight, no wonder prescription blood pressure medication companies are doing so well.
