Magic and Legend, we should get a scrim or 2 in before we start playing matches no? Anyway i've been idling on #ra2 and #ra2draft so get on one of these nights so we can get together and discuss and scrim.

Yea the option I was working on never got back to me.  I was trying to get admin for a private mumble but the guy has gone MIA.  So, I know we'll hear some grumbles from some people not wanting to download another chat client, but quadz is gracious enough to let us use his TS3 server, and we sure could use it so go get it you guys   http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads

Reefer said he would play on my team.

After discussing it, we found someone we think who is more around alex's level, but is prolly a bit better.  -Legacy- from the railwarz community said he'd play.  We were going to OK Reefer, but after thinking it over, it woulda made your team way too strong, considering Reefer has played ra2 before(alex hasn't played in over 10 years, or so he said...and Legacy hasn't played but a couple maps, so they'd equate out better).  I'm sure we could still use Reefer at some point as a sub if he wants to get in on some ra2 action.  I could throw him down as a sub if he's down. 

And hopefully from this point further, we won't have anymore issues with people dropping and every match on the bracket gets played and none get FF'd etc.  Have til Sunday to get the round 1 and 2 games in, so lets get rollin guys!  Get on IRC, get a hold of your teammates and get these matches played and have some fun

He was obviously going to be one of the weakest players on the bracket.  I had many talks with him on how he hasn't played in over 10 years, that he was going to be pretty bad etc.  So we took his word for it and the 'more the merrier' jingle played, and he was in.  You now have a solid team imo and could be possibly the best if legacy can learn the maps quick enough, as you and target are pretty good in ra2.  Anymore questions homo?  (gl vs us btwww, randumb )

I tried to connect to ETG through two different IRC clients the other night before giving up in frustration. I didn't realize others were having the same issues and I have not had time to try the suggestions in the chat box. I will try tonight after work. Has Legacy been idling there?

I have never captained a RA2 team, and other than a handful of maps that I played with [s0] a few years back, I haven't played RA2 competitively. So why was it put up to me to train a new player, when I am not even familiar myself? There are other captains that are more skilled and more qualified.

I thought I was looking for a 3rd pick player, which I think Reefer would be (falling in line with The Cleaner, Civilian and 2D). I thought the only reason I had Alexx on my team was bad luck of the draw with the "randomizer". This seems inconsistent.

What's so bad about mocking someone who's questioning the seeding process for no useful purpose other than to be a pain?

Who actually needed this answered for them?

question: How did you seed this guy having never seen him play?

answer: They seeded him as low tier, because they took him at his word that he was, exactly like they believed the 5-6 other people who said they'd play and now won't.


Apparently that's tough to understand for some.

Admins make mistakes just like any other people.
The mistake was believing that a bunch of adults might actually act like adults and do what they said they'd do and not bitch and cry like children or wimp out the second they saw the teams.
